Hello, I've watched a few of you're videos, your ties are amazing! I want to learn and start making my own but am at a lose on what i need to buy and all to start, such as tools, materials and such. Is there kits? Could you suggest what and where to get. Thank you for sharing your great talents
Thank you Kristie, I am glad that you are interested tying your own flies, There are so many different Budget Vises and tools, I would recommend buy decent ones ( Anvil Atlas ) is a great rotary Vice, as for the tool just buy cheap ones for the time being, then upgrade as you improve, I am always here to help, Regards,,, Mak
Another fabulous buzzer, they really are the neatest buzzers i have ever seen ! I am just starting my fly tying journey so I'm learning a lot, thank you. Can you recommend any barbless hooks you use as an alternative to the b110 please? My club waters are all barbless, I know I can pinch the barb but but thought would make my life easier. Thanks very much. 👍
Thank you David, I am glad you like my tying, and it is good that you are learning to tie, As for the Barbless Hooks, there are so many different Brand, the best way is to go on Veniard Site, you will find lot more Companies :))) Regards,,,, Mak
Im wondering if you have ever come across any left handed tyers. Ive really been struggling with epoxy buzzers especially because the eye hooks are suited to accommodate right hand tyers, because of the thorax my thread keeps wanting to go into the little gap at the eye especially when finishing, i dont see any way round this except to learn to do them right handed?
Thank you Allan, I don't think it makes any difference whether you are right or Left hand, it's the Hook your using I have same problem with these Hooks, that's why I use Kamasan, because the Eye is completely Sealed, try using Kamasan see what happen, also like I always say take your time when tying :))
@@Makflies thanks for your quick reply, its kamasan hooks im using but theres still that little gap i have no problem with most other flies but the shape of the thorax just makes the thread want to pinch into the tiny gap. Wish i could send you a picture of the hook so you could see what i mean
@@allanstewart6894 I don't think I had this trouble with Kamasan Hooks, I don't know what to say, Can I ask where did you buy these Kamasan Hooks and what Thread are you using ?
I've been trying to find a uv laser pointer like yours. Would you be gracious enough to share its label name/brand, possibly cost and where to buy? Gorgeous flies btw.. Thanks
Traté de hacer uno y me quedo muy feo y mal, así me fui a pescar y aunque estaba muy mal hecho así pesqué de todos modos; o sea que para que tanta enjundia, si todo se traga el pez, hasta un pedazo de popote me sirve.
