We agree, esp the records, it doesn't take much to put them in boxes and remove them. It's probably the easiest thing to remove but I'm sure the owners just didn't care once their hospital went bankrupt.
The owners, if they are ever tracked down, could be jailed for HIPAA violations, not to mention leaving controlled pharmaceuticals in reach of all and sundry. There are very specific laws in place for how to store or dispose of records and of drugs.
Neat video. I wouldn't doubt that there are homeless people in that building, thanks for not disclosing the location to protect it from vandalism, unlike some people that would.
We try hard not to give the locations away. I had to leave out a bunch of clips that had the name of the property somewhere in them. This one is in the middle of nowhere also, so it's unlikely that many people will find this. Thanks for watching!
4:27 radiology enthusiast here! That’s a GE Advantx R/F x-ray machine! R/F stands for radiography and fluoroscopy. Fluoroscopy is live radiation that shows the moving parts of your body in real time. The overhead X-ray tube is for standard radiography, while that special camera next to the table is the image intensifier for fluoro.
I explored a hospital much like this, everyone picked up and went to the new hospital. It was so odd seeing how much blood, X-rays, medication etc. were left behind. Electricity was still on. Eventually they cleaned the building out and knocked the buildings down. Side note: I found a checkbook inside a bathroom.. I eventually returned it to the owner. He was the guy that was knocking the building down 😭
It always baffles me when they leave the power running. Some of these buildings got to cost a few hundred if not thousand a month in electric bills. I've been in some buildings that were abandoned for 30+ years and still had the lights on.
I’m not going to lie, I went in other times and witnessed the destruction of the building by people coming in. My brother even turned it into his own private skate park at one point. I did see their morgue, I went into the padded rooms.. It was very interesting. Around 2008 I think a lot of buildings became empty. I’ve been in multiple schools, untouched 100yr old houses, and a few hospitals.
Those records should be properly purged and all of that equipment should be repurposed! I can't wrap my head around the amount of waste that's in here. Donate it, sell it, something.... smh. It's a damn shame.
@@Rusty_Nickle and YES they can discuss you with other people. They either have you sign a release or if the person is apart of the TPO they can discuss you without your permission.

4:41 oh that special black door is a revolving door that goes into the darkroom where they process the x-rays. It’s designed that way so the x-ray tech can walk through it without exposing the x-ray film to white light.
HIPPA laws are never enforced for abandoned records, just how it is. Unless you steal patient info with intent to commit fraud or fail to self report a data breach HIPPA laws just aren't enforced.
I could have a field day in that place! Go in with a crew and strip it in days! OMG what a waste! There are mission groups around the world that could be helped with the contents!
Because that requires someone to work, and they weren't getting paid for working. It's not easy to set up an entire auction, tag and list every single item, then host the auction. This hospital is a good 6 hours from any major city. They woulda had a very hard time getting people to show up for this auction of such a small hospital.
Yup I woulda been out of there also. I'm just wondering if the staff knew something like this was happening. At very least, the accounting department had to be well aware that the company had no money to operate.
There def could've been. They could be in any building we explore. One of the worst was a church full of heroin users. One tried to pull a gun out on us and dropped it because it was so high. Luckily my friend I was with also was carrying a gun, so we were able to get out of there without any serious issues happening.
Hey Fran! Always putting those bangers out! It's me ( Rico Suave ) stupid youtube / google closed that username account on me!! I'm back, I just couldn't comment until now !!
@@abandonedcentral loved your Detroit documentary, I grew up in Clinton twp. Never could understand why they let it all go. Take care and if you ever make it near Columbiaville we should have a campfire and some beers, would love to talk about the old days.
Well Kate, sorry we were wrong about a machine. We aren't nurses or doctors and we don't claim to be either. Im sure if I handed you my cinema camera you would spend 20 minutes trying to find the power button.
I definitely wouldn't take any narcotics I found in there...I'm lying 😅 Great vid guys,I was thinking too that someone could take a person's blood or whatever body fluid from that place, commit a crime then leave the samples at the scene to throw off the cops lol.
Imagine doing something like that. Then the police find out the person died several years ago but their blood is at a recent crime seen. That would fuck with them so bad lol.
I mean. Neat. But it’s only been abandoned for two years and seems like it’s probably at least minimally maintained. Give it maybe 15 years and come back lmao
Just from the amount of spider webs in here i can tell you no one is maintaining this property. There's a good 10 windows wide open in the back. If someone was watching this place they would close them so it doesn't decay extremely fast.
@@abandonedcentral Fair enough. A lot of the more modern hospitals are constructed to be air tight with negative pressure and fire doors. Hence why the place is so well preserved.
@@abandonedcentral this place. Is very much so watched. Last time someone went in it got swarmed by I can only guess the entire police force. I counted 36 cops swarming it. Place was clean. To much useful stuff left behind. Thanks for the tour.
Yes it was, I love both decayed and clean hospitals. Clean ones always have you on edge though. You never know whats around the next corner.
This certainly doesn’t seem right.. regardless of how it became abandoned there should not be the equipment, supplies and records left…

WOW! ONLY IN AMERICA! Do we leave behind medical supplies/equipment then complain that we don't have any
I can't believe they left all that equipment.
For real, I never understand why they don't auction this stuff off like some hospitals do when they close.

This is pretty cool wonder how many people died on any of these beds? I would be looking for any good pain killer meds left behind?
I'm surprised that it's in a very good shape! So many things inside. Very cool!
So the staff just said you ain't paying me? peace Out! lol 😆
Exactly as I would do lol!
Hippa violations everywhere!! So many files left behind!

Why didn't someone auction off everything to help pay the workers

@@abandonedcentral yea I meant the unpaid workers could of joined together and sold the shit online, like on eBay etc.
What waste, all that medical equipment could have used elsewhere. And the patients files left behind? The owners should have been sued!
If they had only waited another year!
They woulda got a ton of money from the government.

Much appreciated my dude!
I live relatively close to the site of where there used to be a hospital that shared that name, its been demolished for around 6 years.

Where was this abandoned hospital at? That is a shame to leave vital equipment behind.
If I had the cash I would love to own that and make my home in there

Thanks! This is very far from Michigan :)

Looks like it was abandoned yesterday, this place didnt even get enough time to gather any dust or anything.
