I recently purchased the equalizer 4 point hitch. Recently returned from my first trip. Fyi I didn't lubricate the pivoting head and omg was it noisy. Now I see that had a remedy. I had one major problem if you guys can help me with this. After making a left hand turn and straightening up my car would pull to the left. Same thing would happen if I made a right turn. After it would pull right. It made my highway ride extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Especially when a semi would pass me. It felt like the hitch would never return to a straight line with the trailer. Sort of if the hitch would seize up . Are my bolts over torqued. Do I need to regrease everything. Btw the car has new tires and a fresh alignment. Also when not towing it treks perfectly straight.

Hey! Glad to hear you fixed your noise situation! As for the sway problem, it does sound like your bolts need tightening. But to be 100% sure, I would contact our customer service team at support@equalizerhitch.com or call them at (800) 478-5578, and tell them what's going on. They should be able to help you figure out the problem!!

So I remove the sockets from the hitch head to lubricate them........is that wrong? I just purchased this system and I couldn't even move the sockets with the spring arms in (which seems like a huge issue). My truck also has a suspension leveling system that will counter when I put a trailer on the back so the measurements for weight distribution are never the same. I can't say I'm overly impressed with your product right now.

We are sorry you are not impressed, and would love to help you through these questions. When an Equal-i-zer hitch is brand new, the arms are very tight. This is due to fresh paint, and highly torqued bolts. Lubrication will definitely help, and as you use it, the arms will move easier. You can also lightly back off the torque of the bolts, if you are still having issues. If you call our customer service team, they can help walk you through that and how to adjust your weight distribution with your leveling system. Our customer service contact is support@equalizerhitch.com or call them at (800) 478-5578.

@@EqualizerHitch Thank you for the response. After more research and watching videos posted by other users I've been able to fix the tightness of the spring arms and understand why they are so tight and that they should not move very much anyways. My previous sway bars were from another manufacturer so I expected yours to be used like theirs. I will say you guys have some great videos out and I do appreciate the time and money you guys have spent to help people like me who have no idea how to use systems like this.
The leveling systems is still going to be a huge issue so I will contact your customer support.

You don't need to remove anything really. Leave bars in and extend fully one dire tio lube then back to the other extreme and lube.... Done!!!
