Thanks for this message explaining the position of Archbishop Levebre and how it apply today in the crisis we find in the Catholic Church. Thanks SSPX for keeping the tradition touch light on after Vatican 11.
Awesome. Thanks for laying it out. So many times the discussion gets tangled because there is NOT a laying out and unraveling of the issue and fights ensue. So grateful for Archbishop Lefebvre standing for the truth and providing a way for us to know the Truth Christ transmits to us through the apostles and their successors. "We just want to be Catholic." A beautiful statement from SSPX in this podcast about this series and their position. Thank you SSPX for educating us in these times of conflict. St Vincent of Lerins +445 A.D. was quoted and it is worth your time of the entire podcast to hear that quote. Thank you Father, We are so blessed.
Is that the promoter of Assisi Benedict XVl? Is he saying anything now? Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre saw into his eyes and then saw he could not trust him!
When he appeared on the balcony right after his election as pontiff he asked that we pray for him lest he flee from the wolves. He knew what he was up against and he knew his own weakness and thus begged for our prayers. Perhaps we failed HIM.
Thank you Fr. Wiseman for this topic, very well presented, brings out clarity into the minds of the faithful that we do NOT have to follow swallow and wallow blindly, even if the pope and bishops say so, in particular to what is against the teachings of Jesus Christ. We have only one chance in this life as the pilgrim church before we stand to be judged by the HIGHEST AUTHORITY, JESUS CHRIST. God bless and reward you abundantly.
Excelent program ! That is another problem Rome only "steps in" to condemn Traditional believers and support "free pass to heaven for all religions". Instead of encouraging them to search for the True God so they shall find Jesus the Son of God and our True God.
What this Father says, how he says it and all his arguments so well versed in the teaching of the Church and Her Saints - it is like a breath of fresh air breaking in to the unbearable atmosphere of ambigious, fuzzy and unhealthy, non catholic ideas we have been fed with from 2013 by the bishop of Rome. We are fed with one heretical idea after another and when we refuse to accept them, many "pious" voices say: "Obey". It is not enough for them to be lost, they want to take everybody with them to the precipice. Thank you,for keeping the Faith, SSPX.
This helps so many understand in a clear and logical way which is supported by the real Tradition of the Church. I wish more people listened instead of judging the sspx based on here say or rumors.
Initially, with attempts to be openly recognized, there were persons, laity and clerical, who exaggerated. With the open, cognito, unity, God us glorified and the pure intention is known. I know of a Traditional order that does not recognize Abp Thuc ordinations, based on the Archbishops cognizant ability, and Abp Lefebvre, based on Bp Leinhart, being a freemason, and the ordination to being Bishop, 1946/48?, not being valid. I do not agree. Both men were valid and their ordinations, to me.
Pope Francis led me straight to the FSSP and SSPX. Probably not his intent but I’m so grateful. I’m not going to live under fear and threat of excommunication anymore.. These priests speak the truth. Deo gratias.
Our Dearest Lord was 33 yrs old when He was crucified and died for our sins to open up the gates of Heaven for us and to bring himself to us in Holy Communion The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass Our Lords Sacrifice for us . This is also Episode #33 Divine Providence at work here. Praised Be Jesus Christ Ave Maria Viva Cristo Ray
This podcast 33 is very helpful in stating clearly the situation the church is in today. It also shows that the Church teachings are not being adhered to. Faithful Catholics now are clear as to when we should be obedient to the teachings of the hierachy.
I’ve been in the #2 obedience camp for awhile now and have not really been sure what to think about sspx. Lately I’ve been wondering the very things you address here about the limits of obedience and then this vid showed up on my feed. You have presented everything very well and it’s obvious sspx has put some real thought into their position. Thanks for the video.
Two yrs later this is more relevent than ever! The gulf widens and the faithful are even more confused. God bless you abundantly for helping us reason this through. Christ is King
Very clear, incisive and fairly presented. This episode needed to be done well and it was. Fr Wiseman is a pleasure to listen to- his Seminary students are most fortunate.
This was so good. May God bless you two and all those who truly teach us in order to educate us! I have met so many Norvus Ordo and other religions which the people fall for everything because they are not educated! On the contrary, the Society truly educates us so we know our "rights". In this way, we are not subject to the human blunders of the person who has charge over us if they sadly teach something that makes us separate ourselves from God.
when I was a Capuchin friar the Franciscan rule states we are to obey the Guardian/superior in all things except sin. That's how I would follow Amoris Laetitia in giving communion to divorced/remarried couples. Not obey because it's sinful.
How can a pope who was witness to a Eucharistic Miracle in the diocese where he was bishop. He wants to consider Communion as The Bread of Sinners! It is the Bread of Angels, The zBread of Lide.
@@johnholmes6667 he is following the Masonic tradition as he has been swallowed by the evil one. As St Pio has said masonry is in the hierarchy of Catholic Church of Jesus Christ.
Great series! Every time we learn something new. Indeed the Catholic Church is an endless mystery full of treasures. It’s the first time i I hear about Jesus’ two wills, because of his two nature (human and divine). I’d love to learn more about that.🤔
Study Amoris Laetitia instead. It is relevant. Pope Francis taught that no person with mortal sin on his soul can receive communion. However, he points out that three conditions must be present for a sin to be mortal. 1. Commit an act that is objectively grave. 2. Have knowledge that what he is about to commit is, in fact, a grave sin. 3. Freely engage his will in carrying out that gravely immoral act. If one of them is missing then the person can still receive communion, even if they are divorced and remarried, which is only one condition being met. Even SSPX teaches this!! I know, because I received my Catholic education at SSPX.
I have enjoyed this amazing series so much. It has been truly educational on a variety of topics pertinent to things concerning, not just SSPX, but the ENTIRE Church. I'm a better Catholic for having watched. I look forward to future sessions with great anticipation!
I am learning a lot about our faith and the Traditional Church. I have had until now little knowledge of the SSPX. I am finding it so helpful advice will continue to watch these videos. Thank you.
Given that Fr Wiseman’s family once was part of an “indult” parish in NJ many years ago and subsequently found their way to Tradition, I would love to hear a podcast addressed to present Catholics at such parishes to explain the errors/contradictions one has to abide at such places to retain the TLM.
Thank you very much for this podcast. It surely clears all these dilemma left for us the laity. Keep on talking and spreading this clarifications for thefaithful. 👌🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Archbishop Lefebvre was fighting against this train of contradiction that would be a catastrophe against the present, past and future of Holy Mother Church.
Thank you so much father, your explanation was very clear and enlightening. It caught my attention 'courage'. Even courage should be moderate, I never thought of it, the way you exposed it. May the Lord and our Lady be with you always!
Thank you Fr. Wiseman! For the first time I've really understood at least a couple of these questions. This has been the first one in the series I've seen; I think I need to "buckle up" and watch to the rest. Thanks also, Andrew! The written summary in text is also extremely helpful.
I think the FSSP is running into the same problems of contradiction. I attend one of their parishes and they quietly have no use for Francis or Vacation II
Thank God for this Priest what A great clear teaching us in this confusing time. May God richly Bless you Father Wiseman. Thank you. You are In my daily prayers 🙏
Thank you Farher, it is great for me to know I am not a RETROGRADE PERSON for wanting to follow what the Church have been teaching from the beginning 🙏💒 Thank you ! God bless you 🙏💒🌈🌄🌹
Blind obedience to superiors has been responsible for many atrocities throughout history, including the mass murder of Jews during the Holocaust, and the torture and crucifixion of Jesus. Though it can take courage to stand up to the wrongs of the prevailing hierarchy, the penalty for disobeying God’s Law is far worse. As Jesus said, “And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell.” Matt. 20:28
The pope ordered priests and nuns and lay men to help the jews the Catholics as a result over 800,000 jews were helped by the Catholic church, more than any other group.
Given the apparent duplicity of Gregory and Tobin, so like the Renaissance cardinals who failed in the criss caused by Luther, We can only hope that some of our bishops will begin to take stand. They claim to revere Benedict’s catechism, but without much firmness. So like the English bishops in Tudor times, they sway in the wind.
@John andJudy S... like the English bishops (vs. Henry VIII)? If bishops today are like that, O God help! *Only St John Fisher opposed the Henry. And from what I hear from the different media, there's less than a dozen bishops that have publicly spoken out against Francis's abuses and unjust, unlawful acts. Sts. John Fisher and Thomas More pray for us. St. Michael and St. George defend us
More than 20 years ago I attended a mass that contain many aspects of a traditional mass, but not all. I found it interesting but it never attracted me. When Covid started I was streaming RUclips for a mass to watch because my own church was less than appetizing and I now I had many more choices. I came across the traditional mass and thought it was far more interesting than the one I had attended years ago. I was attracted to it immediately and I wanted to understand it, since the one I was watching was in Latin. The deacon at my church remembered being an altar boy at the Latin mass when he was a boy, before it changed over. The Pope knows that the traditional mass Is attractive and Holy that is why he’s trying to destroy it. Many people found the traditional mass on RUclips during Covid and became enticed with it, but unfortunately, most areas do not offer it. I’m grateful that my sister sent me this link to watch. It’s also interesting that it’s episode 33. Thank you!
Bingo! God can take anything.........literally ANYTHING and use it for His greater glory and honour. Let those who have eyes, see, and those who have ears, hear! Laus tibi Christe.
Deo gratias! I have been conflicted and struggling mightily with the Motu Ptoprio. Thank you for this much needed clarification of what it means to obey.
Excellent presentation, thanks to both of you. Hope you can have Fr. Wiseman back, he explained this important topic in such a clear, logical, and methodical manner and as impartial a manner as one can. Very easy to follow for this layman. Many thanks to both of you.
The discontinuity that Fr. Wiseman, (great name by the way), is cognitive dissonance, I’m sure he knows that, but for others, it places the rational mind in contrast, contradiction, with reality and thus forces the reason of man to either break with reality, or succumb, bow down, to a fallacy a myth and therefore it is an attack on reason itself. If this is done repeatedly, often enough, it disables the ability of the person to reason, think and choose the proper good, always God, for an ‘apparent’ good. Soon enough the person can be left unable to choose or even see the good, that is God. Thx Fr. keep up the good work.
You have just explained how cults work on followers minds. Your explanation perfectly explains how people get blindly roped in and can't seem to find their way out!
We MUST take the stance of the Eastern Bishops who Refused to obey Pope St. Victor [d. 199] - without denying his Universal Jurisdiction - who ordered them to abandon their Immemorial Custom/Tradition and observe the Roman [Traditional as well] day for Easter. He even threatened them with Excommunication. They said NO! They said that they did Not Innovate in Anything [unlike the whole Novus Ordo] but held on to the tradition they received. They even quoted St. Peter back to the successor of St. Peter: “We must obey God rather than men"! See Eusebius "History of the Church". "The power of teaching in the Church involves a commitment to the service of OBEDIENCE to THE FAITH. The POPE is NOT an Absolute Monarch whose Thoughts and Desires are Law. On the CONTRARY: the Pope's ministry is a Guarantee of OBEDIENCE to Christ and to His Word. He MUST NOT proclaim his OWN Ideas, but rather constantly BIND HIMSELF And The Church to OBEDIENCE to God's Word, in the face of every attempt to Adapt it or Water It Down, and every form of opportunism. The Pope knows that in his important decisions, he IS BOUND to the great community of FAITH OF ALL TIMES, to the BINDING Interpretations that have developed throughout the Church's pilgrimage. Thus, his Power is NOT being Above, BUT at the service of, the Word of God. It is Incumbent upon him to Ensure that this Word continues to be present in its greatness and to resound in its PURITY, so that it is Not Torn to Pieces by CONTINUOUS CHANGES in Usage." Benedict XVI - Homily May 7, 2005
It seems Francis didn't hear Benedict XVI's words-or rejects that they apply to him.... When Francis rejected 2000 years of official Church teachings about capital punishment-*and* by such an act said "non serviam" to God's own words in the Torah, he literally put himself above the Church and God. It's obvious now where his allegiance is. +Bl. Mary, Mother of Mercy, intercede for his soul+
I live in sin. I married a non-Catholic. Forty years ago, I love God and Our Lady. It’s a dilemma. After ten minutes of this talk, I give up, have a beer and go to bed. But he’s still talking. Lights out.

Thank you father for a wonderful and clear explanation on the crisis we'r going through. Blessings
St. Francis of Assisi also discusses the responsibilities and limits of obedience in his Admonitions.
Can you share a link to this??
Thanks. Will see if i can find it
What this Father says, how he says it and all his arguments so well versed in the teaching of the Church and Her Saints - it is like a breath of fresh air breaking in to the unbearable atmosphere of ambigious, fuzzy and unhealthy, non catholic ideas we have been fed with from 2013 by the bishop of Rome. We are fed with one heretical idea after another and when we refuse to accept them, many "pious" voices say: "Obey". It is not enough for them to be lost, they want to take everybody with them to the precipice. Thank you,for keeping the Faith, SSPX.
This episode is truly the key to this phenomenal series. The SSPX's position perfectly explained.
And there's more to come in the very near future!
Clarity is a beautiful thing.
Thanks for that !
This helps so many understand in a clear and logical way which is supported by the real Tradition of the Church. I wish more people listened instead of judging the sspx based on here say or rumors.
True in all the issues we’re dealing with! RunsFrom Bears? Did you perchance encounter one while on an SSPX retreat?
Thank you for this conference. It clarifies and answered all my questions regarding SSPX.
Our Dearest Lord was 33 yrs old when He was crucified and died for our sins to open up the gates of Heaven for us and to bring himself to us in Holy Communion The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
Our Lords Sacrifice for us .
This is also Episode #33 Divine Providence at work here. Praised Be Jesus Christ
Ave Maria
Viva Cristo Ray
33 (AD).is also when the Roman Catholic faith was founded.
Thank you Fr Wiseman for this talk.so clear .May God Bless you.
Saint Padre Pio , pray for us and for the healing of the Church. Amen
Documentary on Lefebvre: @
Two yrs later this is more relevent than ever! The gulf widens and the faithful are even more confused. God bless you abundantly for helping us reason this through. Christ is King
Very clear, incisive and fairly presented. This episode needed to be done well and it was.
Fr Wiseman is a pleasure to listen to- his Seminary students are most fortunate.
Thank you for a clear explanation on the extent of obedience towards a pontiff who confuses doctrines.
It’s fairly plain if commanded to sin, even if it comes from rightful authority, we must obey God, not man.
Fr Wiseman’s explanation is clear and precise. Thank you
Thank you . I can’t compromise on the defining point either . Thank you for speaking on this .
Wiseman is an appropriate name .
Thank you , Father .
The demons get totally wrecked by this guy.!! Christ is Truly King! Tradition is Truly Blessed by Jesus Christ The King.
when I was a Capuchin friar the Franciscan rule states we are to obey the Guardian/superior in all things except sin. That's how I would follow Amoris Laetitia in giving communion to divorced/remarried couples. Not obey because it's sinful.
@@granmabern5283 That’s quite difficult. One couple did, however, and their son. became a priest.
How can a pope who was witness to a Eucharistic Miracle in the diocese where he was bishop. He wants to consider Communion as The Bread of Sinners! It is the Bread of Angels, The zBread of Lide.
Niel, you were taught correctly, unlike so many for the last half century. God help us.
@@johnholmes6667 he is following the Masonic tradition as he has been swallowed by the evil one. As St Pio has said masonry is in the hierarchy of Catholic Church of Jesus Christ.
Love this series. A light in the darkness if chaos.
Great series! Every time we learn something new. Indeed the Catholic Church is an endless mystery full of treasures. It’s the first time i
I hear about Jesus’ two wills, because of his two nature (human and divine). I’d love to learn more about that.🤔
Thank you for the dedication and work put into these podcasts
This should have 50k views, already. Very timely information. I’m most grateful.
Outstanding, thank you very much !
Bravo Fr.Wise this is my 5th time watching this talk,Thank you so much, all for the glory of God May God Bless you, love from Sydney Australia.
Clear, rational, true, CATHOLIC.
wow.. amazing
I feel like studying summa theology of st. Thomas Aquinas
thank you Fr. 🙏
Our Lord Jesus Christ bless strenghten and proect Fathers of Sspx. With our LADY Most Holly Mary ever Virgin..
I have enjoyed this amazing series so much. It has been truly educational on a variety of topics pertinent to things concerning, not just SSPX, but the ENTIRE Church. I'm a better Catholic for having watched. I look forward to future sessions with great anticipation!
Well Said!
As dogmatic and philosopher, Fr Wiseman is superb.
I was hoping for this topic on true and false obedience.
It’s totally relevant.
Wow. This was monumentally helpful !
Thank you very much.
Fr. Alexander shot all the arrows, bull's eye. Leading faithful straight to the Heart of JESUS CHRIST.
@@lulucarvalho2199 agreed! The Truth shall set us free.
I am learning a lot about our faith and the Traditional Church. I have had until now little knowledge of the SSPX. I am finding it so helpful advice will continue to watch these videos. Thank you.
Excellent episode
Clarity is Charity. Thank you for making things so much clearer about the virtue of obedience. This video is very helpful.
Given that Fr Wiseman’s family once was part of an “indult” parish in NJ many years ago and subsequently found their way to Tradition, I would love to hear a podcast addressed to present Catholics at such parishes to explain the errors/contradictions one has to abide at such places to retain the TLM.
A good idea. I used to attend an indult from time to time.
John. Do you see a contradiction by attending an "indult" parish, FSSP or SSPX? I consider each to be faithful to Church and God.
Thank you very much for this podcast. It surely clears all these dilemma left for us the laity. Keep on talking and spreading this clarifications for thefaithful. 👌🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Beautifully explained !
One of the best episode if not the best
Archbishop Lefebvre was fighting against this train of contradiction that would be a catastrophe against the present, past and future of Holy Mother Church.
Father we have to obedient to God, Jesus yesterday, today and tomorrow are same we need traditions please don’t take away
The SSPX is very committed to traditions. They are good men. They will safeguard the Latin mass & tradition. ♥️
Thanks
Thank you so much father, your explanation was very clear and enlightening. It caught my attention 'courage'. Even courage should be moderate, I never thought of it, the way you exposed it. May the Lord and our Lady be with you always!
The comments on "blind obedience" are helpful as I always wish to follow the Church.
Thank you Fr. Wiseman! For the first time I've really understood at least a couple of these questions. This has been the first one in the series I've seen; I think I need to "buckle up" and watch to the rest. Thanks also, Andrew! The written summary in text is also extremely helpful.
Thank you, Fr. Wiseman.
My wife and I will be looking for SSPX near us and will join them, so disappointed with this pope!!!
Thank you Farher, it is great for me to know I am not a RETROGRADE PERSON for wanting to follow what the Church have been teaching from the beginning 🙏💒
Thank you !
Thank you!
At least now we won't be saying the silly phrase..Extraordinary Form, we can now call it what it us.. the Traditional Latin Mass
Who's "we"?
Or simply THE MASS. Like Jeep, there's only one!
Bingo! God can take anything.........literally ANYTHING and use it for His greater glory and honour. Let those who have eyes, see, and those who have ears, hear! Laus tibi Christe.
@@brandywineblue LOL, comparing a mass to a jeep?! The vehicle designed for war.
Deo gratias! I have been conflicted and struggling mightily with the Motu Ptoprio. Thank you for this much needed clarification of what it means to obey.
This series is a gift. Thank you. I wish I lived near an SSPX chapel.
Great explanation, thank you Father.
The entire world is a sea of cognitive dissonance. That’s why common sense is a rare commodity.
You have just explained how cults work on followers minds. Your explanation perfectly explains how people get blindly roped in and can't seem to find their way out!
This makes sense to me... don't follow blindly...
Excellent talk
Truth and charity are first then obedience comes third and is always filtered by truth and charity before anything can be obeyed and pleasing to God!
This is a wonderful video. Thank you Andrew, and Fr. Wiseman
This priest is brilliant. I've never felt my brain growing in my skull before.
Bravissimo 👍
It is Incumbent upon him to Ensure that this Word continues to be present in its greatness and to resound in its PURITY, so that it is Not Torn to Pieces by CONTINUOUS CHANGES in Usage."
Benedict XVI - Homily May 7, 2005
It seems Francis didn't hear Benedict XVI's words-or rejects that they apply to him....
Lights out.
Our pope has fallen before our very eyes, how 😢. We're in God's hands as we should be😇
Thanks for the great video. The graphics with text are very helpful for those of us that learn better by reading.
Thank You so very much for this episode. I can always count on getting the "facts", when I've questions regarding the Traditional Latin Church+
