I don’t think that this is a boring video. Maybe you can do one of your regular and more of this, mostly to show that the things you work on takes time and investiment. It’s ok to show you tired or just chilling (if you want to, of course), because we like the style of your videos and to see you working and having fun. I think all of your videos are welcome, so thank you for showing the to us. Best wishes!
Nothing boring about this video at all. You have a sweet and endearing personality that I love and find very refreshing. Nothing pretentious about your videos so to see your process through to final presentation and your reality is good and appreciated. Thank you for sharing.
I LOVE how you're so organised & tidy 😍 So much respect for your professionalism! I love watching everything you put out, because it's with so much care ❤️
I so enjoy your videos (and voiceovers) 😊 As a writer, I totally relate to the “not so glamorous” life, and now I don’t feel so bad for eating late lunch and then dinner at 9. We’re on the creatives’ schedule 😉 Your grill counter came out so well, by the way! (Can’t remember if I said so on that video.)
as always an amazing video!! is just so refreshing watching someone who's showing you the entire process, and i really like how honest you are :) for now i'll be patientily waiting for the part 2 of the patio makeover.
I love how you say, that Pat always supports your hobbys, so you support him too. This support for each other should be more common in every relationship 🫶🏼🥰
I loved this video, it's nice to see behind the scenes and the processes you use to plan your day, it helped me realise a better way to tick things off my to do list. Very inspiring! I also love how lazy your penguin cushions look at the beginning 🤣
All very useful and helpful tips, not boring at all, but I am a sucker for organisation and planning myself so I might be biased. The ufo is also a nice thing to see here, I absolutely love that thing 😊😊
Thank you for your calendar tips! They couldn‘t have come at a better time. I was diagnosed with ADHD at the end of last year *and* I‘m self-employed since last month. Actually, I had already blocked some time today to sit down and overhaul my organization system as it doesn‘t work for me right now. So your input by showing what works for you atm is really helpful! And I love the whole vibe of the video. It wasn‘t at all boring. Please don‘t feel pressured to only make „perfect“ videos that show the whole process in one go even though it takes a long time. I would really enjoy to see your „original“ pace, kinda vlog-style this this video, If you feel comfortable sharing. (And if you wanted to still post full-process-videos, you still could!) Okay I‘m babbling now 😂 I hope what I meant is understandable and came across 😬
A gentle reminder that everyone demonstrates adhd symptoms differently and while some solutions make work for others, it may not work for you. It's taken me years to find (and I'm still optimising) systems that work for my adhd brain, so don't be too hard on yourself ❤️
@@cloudyhills oh, definitely! What worked for me for the past few years is switching up my systems every now and then. But I've found that it's just not sustainable for me to try completely new systems. Yes, it gives me a lot of dopamine, but I don't stick to it because the novelty wears off too fast. Trying out simple adjustments to my now accumulated rotation of systems has worked the past few years. But I crave something new. And your system of only "time-blocking" half a day is something I can try out without putting too much time and effort into it, so it might be very sustainable. I'll see if it works for me, but I imagine it really could, since time blindness is a big symptom of mine and so I usually plan out too many tasks into a day. And it gets really frustrating to push the tasks to the next day, and the next, and the next... So having some plans but also having the time and space to adjust those plans is actually a really smart strategy that I'm excited to try out
That was insightful and I totally agree with planning less than needed for the day! It really helps stay motivated and feel even more accomplished if you did more 😌 Thank you for sharing!
I hear u girl…I have a love hate relationship with painting. I hate the doing…but love it when it’s done 😂. Not so enthused about the paint spatters on the hands or the clean up either…I am also with you when it comes to the inevitable mess from DIY…I don’t have a workshop so all my DIY is in the covered back porch…and I prefer to pack everything away and vacuum all the sawdust at day’s end so I don’t feel so overwhelmed with the mess. Unfortunately a lot of the projects do take up more than a few days so it means I am constantly having to take stuff out and then putting it away which makes it a bit of a drag. Love ur aesthetic though. Gives me inspiration to keep going. ❤
What a super video. Thanks for sharing your planning process with us. Oh, and the less said about that football match the better😢 From a Scottish fan!!
I love all of your videos, even a seemingly mundane one like this. I never considered making a To-Do list for small things like chores. I'm scared about failing to not do them. But, I think at least for today, I will do dishes and maybe after spruce up the bathrooms (might push that to tomorrow, though). As a treat, I have set up a delivery order (but haven't purchased it yet) for some bubble tea and Japanese treats from a cafe. That will be my reward for cleaning the house. I don't want to officially put it on a list, though, because I might delay and push it back 😅
That's why I adopted the reverse to do list/ completed list! You can try taking a few mins at the end of the day listing out the things you did - even things you might deem small. It really helps to motivate yourself mentally ❤️
My two cents: if I was your neighbor and I could hear your workshop activities anyway, I'd probably prefer a steady white noise from the vacuum, which would also dampen the sound of the saw, than to keep hearing the machines turn on and off intermittently. Anyway, I'm glad you found a solution and it's a very enjoyable video :)
Hi I have been following you for a while now and I have been especially inspired by how organised you are. Can you do a video to show us how you do your digital organisation please, I.e. which apps you use and for what purposes for your daily life. I think you use Notion (track your plants) and Milanotes for projects. But which calendar do you use etc. and how do you use all these various apps to keep organised. Maybe you can always show us your iPad home screen etc. How you customized etc. 😊
Hey, I also dont think it's a boring video :) Tip for Working in Premiere: Working with Proxies spares you from manually downgrading your footage! Take care :)
Okay I loved this video more than anything. Please keep making daily vlogs including your regular chores. A request from a very old subscriber of yours. ❤🇧🇩
Hi Hills, I've been watching your videos for a while now and I've always wondered what you do for a living? If it's not to rude to ask this because it could be a private matter, but I was just interested cause you seem to get SO much done and never mention going to a job or doing work-from-home. :)
1:41 do the different colours of the LED light really have an effect on your skin? Like is there any evidence for it? No hate, just trying to understand :) Other than that I really enjoyed the video (as always) and I was stunned when I was reminded how much work actually goes into your videos with all the editing etc.!
Hmm, I do know that there have been clinically proven results and there are other beauty products in the market that also provide led light therapy. So to some extend, I'd say there are healing benefits :)
It's only for the puppy stage, she's highly active and will walk around the room all night if not in the crate haha, so the crate is to practice "time to sleep and rest". Once she's over a year old we'll transition her to her own bed :)
Since you mentioned your neighbours: That is a question I have ever since you moved there. You are using quite a lot of loud and noisy machines and it seems that you are constantly building something. How do they react to the noise in the garden and the flat? Are they ok with it? I have to admit I wouldn't if anyone would constantly use saws etc next to me... But if they are... good for you.
Our house is a new build, so the windows and walls are quite well soundproof. Only our upstairs neighbour can hear some muffled noises (the dad is a carpenter so he has some projects that I can hear muffled noises sometimes too.) The only time it's really loud is when we drill into walls, and we tend to do all the drilling needed within one day per room. As for the backyard, I do loud diy work there probably less than 5 days a year!

My hand is cramping watching you editing on a touchpad! 😂 You do such good work, love your videos and projects!
This video isn't boring at all! We all lead such different lives, I always enjoy a peek into how other people live theirs. ❤
Beautiful video! It's so good to see the "real life", the entire process for a DIY, and your videos are always sooo good!!! Thank you!!
