Great repair for those metal wheels! Not always easy to get replacements. Got a whole bunch that I can try that on. Thanks for the help!
No problem 👍
KNOWLEDGE is wonderful. Great rebuild. tools everyone needs the right tools.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I cant help but think of the kid who played with one of those when they were new. Now approaching his 90's.
7:08 The "Spray-dy" Bunch split screen. YAY!!!!
lmao yesss!!
@@TRGRESTORATIONS great work but dont u agree that the original colers look ugly
DESTROYER TERMINATOR It doesn’t work for modern sensibilities, but would have been considered attractive when it was made. Tastes change. Lol
Nice job thanks for saving this old toy truck
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
i don't comment very often but i have to echo the majority here and say: the Resin Idea for the wheels was pure brilliance on your part. now i understand why i watch you ! NEW SUB SIR ! Nicely Done !
Thank you very much!
I loved the finished product so much! I wanted it.
Expressively stunning.
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
That's a beautiful job
Another perfect job TRG. I have a request. Could you take some time lapse shots of the paint as it is baking in the oven? Watching the paint magically turning into a high gloss is almost as much fun as the sandblasting! Cheers!
my next oven is going to have lights and a good filming window to get those shots.
TRG RESTORATION: Thank you, TRG! Love the videos!
Simply beautiful
Thank you! 😊
Filling the wheels with resin great idea
Thank you! Cheers!
Absolutely awesome restoration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you very much!
Nice job 👍🏼
Thanks! 👍
The resin wheel fix was very good, will use that myself going forward. Good job!
Thanks 👍
Excellent job.
Exelente tu trabajo amo estos antiguos juguetes
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Brilliant problem-solving. Great idea filling the wheels with epoxy to true up the axle holes--not your first rodeo, I see. That dump truck is better than new now!
Genius!!! Using epoxy to fill wheels is just pure genius. As always love the work you do and cannot wait until the next project.
Great job! The restored truck looks almost like the one from the original picture.
Thank you very much!
Terrific magnificent beautiful jaw dropping eye popping amazing incredible awesome superb outstanding great excellent fantastic job you did with that truck keep up your great work and stay safe
Thank you so much 😀
And he did a great job on it too. lol
Having those kids yell YAY!!!!!!! when we see the sandblaster is genius !!!! I laugh my ass off every time because I feel the same way!!!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
They are cheers that children make. The language is Spanish. What they say, what is translated is: Good!
I am Argentine, and my grandchildren, and before us, when we were children, we said the same thing when we liked something ...
That's a beautiful job, Tim!
Thank you very much!
Love it!!
What child would not like it!!!
No matter the age!!!
Maravilloso como siempre 👌👏👏👏👏💪
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thats so amazing how you brought this awesome toy back to life. Bravo man.
Great save nice look better than new.
Thanks 👍
I was scratching my head at the oblong hole on the wheel during powdercoat. Why is he not fixing that? The resin repair was perfect !
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Beautifully done. I love the bright colors. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much!
That's looks great 👍.
Out of the fire... into the arms of a restorer. Amazing job!
Wonderful restoration with the basic colors 10+ for this job 💙💚💛❤
Very nice job, well done sir ! 👍👍
The toy is so simple yet so beautiful. 😍😍😍
Thank you! 😊
Definitely colorful,great video 😎👍
Thank you! Cheers!
MAGNIFICIENT PERRFECT 👌!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Totally excellent!
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It amazes me how you can pound on an axle to flatten the end (so it won't come out) and you don't miss and hit the newly painted body of the restoration.
lol you only make that mistake once
TRG RESTORATION No, I think I would make it more than once lol.
@@auntielaura5 I've definitely done that more than once!
Resin filling the wheels was GENIUS! Awesome job! P.S. I like the bead blasting parts the most! I need to get me one of those. Lol
Thanks so much!
All I can say is WOW!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Outstanding job. I was pleasantly surprised that there was little if any pitting after a fire.
amazing !!!
Thank you!!
This was god damn amazing to watch. So many pretty colors! I hope there will be more in the future that has so many types of pretty colors to look at! Good work!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I like your gloves!
Amazing! You made a little old truck very happy. ;-)
Watching people doing hard work makes me want to do something with my life 😆
It’s good idea to fix wheels with resin! Great job!
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful restoration, amazing piece. Back to the life!
Looks good as new top job ............... Thumbs Up
Thanks 👍
Every time I see the before and after I just absolutely amazed!!
Fantastic job bud .
Thank you! Cheers!
If you could ever be convinced to part with this truck, please let me know.
It looks exactly like one I used to play with when I'd visit my grandparents... back when I was considerably younger.
According to my grandfather, it was one of my dad's favorite toys when he was little.

@@TRGRESTORATIONS Wow, I still have an ebay account, didn't expect the login to work since it's been ages since I last used it.
He is gonna make a little city with all of these restorations lmao
lol Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
WOW!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I love how it came out! First video I saw of yours. Very nice!
Love the bright colors!
Thank you! Cheers!
You know it really ticks me off when people give a thumbs down for videos like this. It’s probably because they just want to be dicks and have no taste. Keep doing what you are doing and don’t let the “no talents” get you down! Great job, again!!!!!!!! 👍
Looks like a Foose design.
Definitely has that West Coast style
That was a great idea putting epoxy in the wheels to fix them 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
I have yet to see one of them tonka Belly dragger toys to be restored. Might be a good idea for the next toy to find ^^
I'm always on the prowl for the next viral video lol will keep my eyes open for one.
I remember comments when I started watching restoration videos years ago. Half of them were "you didn't keep the patina". Talibans times have ended and now everyone appreciate the fresh new look.
Thanks! there are still plenty of patina experts out there though lol
I would love for you to take a different old trucks and make a ramrod with them that would be awesome like a kid with a few broken ones makes one to play with plz plz lol thanks the videos are awesome
A ratrod
So just out of curiosity, what do you do with all these restored toys? If you have a collection, your wife is a saint.
Some I sell, Some I keep or give to my kids. Just depends.
Belissimo trabalho.
Parabéns
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I have just subscribed to your channel great work, now I have to go back and watch all your videos, and g'day from Sydney Australia 🦘🦘
Welcome aboard!
Brought it. Back to its former gloly
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Your gloves go great with Halloween coming up...:-)
Glad you like them!
Imo doesn't look like it was in a fire but still cool looking ... did a side by side comparison of this and a light up version .... ^ looks smaller than the lighted version...
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼

“Kill it with fire!”
TRG: “You’ve crossed a line!”
dang right!
How long do you normally bake them for and what temp
some colors are different, but as a general rule 400-degrees for 10-15 minutes. each color usually comes with instructions from the manufacturer
Thank you
A phoenix from the ashes!
Yes!! why didn't i put that in the description lol
Surprised the grill was still in it, they're usually always missing
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
I have a quick question, what would you suggest if powder coating was not an option? I would like to see a video done with other paint options. ( for those of us with no room to setup a powder coating station).
Rattle cans are always a simple option. Some people look down on them, but there are some great quality paints available.
Think I would of liked this more as a restomod. It has great lines but not so great colors
3:25 WHY!!!!!!😂😂😂😂
An artisan!
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Good Work Man, keep working like that, maybe you can teach me to do that xD
I cannot understand, why fresh paint need to be sanded, especially with water to smudge all this dirt over item. Because I never saw restorators wash items after sanding. Maybe someday I'll read why.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Гянджа Тойс: The first coat is the primer (not paint) which fills in the tiny rust pits and imperfections of the metal. The wet sanding smooths out the surface after priming and makes it more adherent for the painted finish coat. Not shown in the video is washing off the dust from sanding. Cheers!
@@Primus54 Don't know why nobody (except Thomas Johnson Antique Furniture Restoration) shows washing after sanding. Maybe it's boring. I must make such video.
Гянджа Тойс: Yeah... usually these videos show enough cleaning in the beginning that more cleaning might be redundant. Cheers from Ohio, USA!
Yeaaa, the sandblaster made me laugh.🤓
hi, i like your channel! The outcome of your YAAAH sandblasting looks much better then in other resto-channels. Whats your secret? :)
I'd have to see their equipment to be sure, but I'd say I just have a better set-up with a better dust filtration system.
Look at the bright side, you don't have to strip any paint.
lol very true
How can someone do this if they didnt have a sand blaster?? Thx
👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Top🇧🇷
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
What kind of truck is that ford?
looks like something out of fallout 4
This deserved the cheering children at the reveal
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Do you take on restorations for customers
I general don't restore items for "customers." It's a much more expensive process than people realize.
Thank you for responding back
I can see that it would be expensive with all the time and expertise to make these toys look brand new. Love the videos
I don't think it was rescued before the fire killed it...
👍
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This would have been perfect if it were a fire truck instead.
lol maybe next time
A car with the colors from flag of Brazil hahahaha
Thanks for watching! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
👏👏👏👏👏🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
The first thing that would happen to me is hit the truck while hitting on the axle
Can you leave the sped up dremmel/sanding noise in when you remove the wheels? The nemnemnem noise it makes sped up always makes me laugh
How come I'm not getting your video's
Not sure. Notification bell? Sometimes youtube does crazy things
Got the truck a couple days ago and I love it, brings back a lot of happy childhood memories and I keep imagining my dad's reaction if he could see it.
Thank you.
WOW!
Filling the wheels with resin was a pro move. Good job
Thank you! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Pretty genius! I Agree! Greets from Italy!
That was awesome to watch. It’s beautiful!
That is my thought exactly. Simple and elegant. VERY well done.

Perfect and pure restoration! Loved the Resin wheel fix! Nice job TRG!
Thank you very much!
The finished truck looks like something right out of an old war-time Bugs Bunny cartoon. Well done!
lol it kinda does!
