    One suggestion :-
    Its easy to understand and imagine what u try to make us understand and imagine but is it possible to show some demo of using the equipments during the video...it will be really helpfull, so that PPL can also watch and understand the correct posture and equipment using techniques. I hope you get the message to teach everyone specially the beginners.

    But I sometimes face breathing problem..last year my friend gave me a tablet which he took from a medical at Gobindghat..and when we started our remaining 6km hike to Hemkund sahib he gave me that tablet because I was facing problem in breathing but not that much..I took that tablet nd that was not a good decision because I was feeling so sleepy nd vomit..although I was lucky that I have my friends with me who took care of me and helped me to reach gurudwara sahib..I slept 2 hour in darbar sahib nd believe me that two hours sleep was best 😍..

    Since VOF is a monsoon trek hence please can you help me in understanding if one needs to have water resistant trekking shoes or just the waterproof shoes would work.
    If its waterproof then can you also clarify when exactly one needs full water-resistant shoes.

    • @Indiahikes
      @Indiahikes 3 года назад +2

      If the protrusion has not healed, it's better to wait for it to heal and then trek. A trek could stress it further. It's best to consult your doctor before trekking. Another tip would also be to try a light, local trek before heading out on a Himalayan trek. You'll understand how your body is taking to it.

      The third week of October would be a bit too late to visit the Valley of Flowers. There won't be any flowers left in the valley, and there could be snow towards the upper reaches, especially towards Hemkund Sahib. it's better to go earlier, in September or max, wrap it up by the first week of October.

    on my knees. Doctor who performed this surgery told me that one can do trek after this surgery, just avoid to jump from height of 5 feet and more. Is there any situation like jumping from height?

    • @Indiahikes

      Hi Anita, there are no such sections on the Valley of Flowers trek where you have to jump from heights of 5 ft. If you’re advised that you can do a trek, you can go for it.
      But the Valley of Flowers trek climbs up to 14,107 ft and you need to have a good fitness level. You should be able to run 5 km in 40 minutes or brisk walk for 10 km in 90 minutes.

If she finds it hard, there are several other services like mules to bring her back down. VOF was much easier and enjoyable than hemkund because there r no pony's allowed in vof which makes it clean to trek. Hemkund becomes little irritating cos constant passing of pony's were you should be very careful of there rubbing /pushing you from front and back and if it rains path becomes totally messy with their droppings 😮

    • @Indiahikes
      @Indiahikes 11 месяцев назад +1

      True, we agree. One of the reasons we try to reduce the number of mules on all our treks. Firstly by discouraging offloading of backpacks and secondly by making our own equipment light and compact so that we need fewer mules. The story is different at Valley of Flowers though, where even people sit on mules and go up. It's not something we encourage.

      We trek about 5 km into the valley almost covering the flowering parts. We get a good view of the glacier too. After that, the trail becomes rocky and you stop seeing any more flowers. You also have to return to Ghangria. So that's as far as you can go.
