I build one myself almost 15 yrs ago. In that time it was some puzzle building it, but I guess that should be better right now. A fully assembled build in good condition will cost you around $ 35-50k (depends on options). It will take 200-500 building hours, which depends on your own technical knowledge. So the preassembled car isn't so overpriced in my opinion.
Take whatever you think it will cost, and double it
And how long you think it will take you and triple it
That's a good starting point for what to expect with a project like this

The GTM never "ruled the world". While I love the car... by the time it made realistic production, there were several lighter/faster/more aerodynamic kitcars with more competent chassis.

I wanted one since 2000 when I first fell in love with them as a broke college student it was only a dream thank you for making it come true K1

You should do a review on the GTM Supercar kit. The company has multiple kit cars and would be a great series but the GTM is by far their best. Out of all the kit cars it’s probably the best performance and overall most basic look.
I have a GTM and the body is garbage just so you know, lots of work if you want a nice looking GTM.
I wish you fanboys would do real research as opposed to just taking info from manufacturers and websites. Talk to people who are building to get the real scoop.

K1 Attack looks like a rear engine exocet with a body kit. I like it!
I have sent 4 emails to this company, two to Petr, one to mechanics on to senior sales. Petr’s were kicked back as “undeliverable” my ask was where I could sit in one of the K-1 cars. Not going to buy an anything without having a look. Car must be on the east coast of the USA!! Thanks Dave

If im not mistaken, This kit could replace my jetta, i totally saw 1.8 turbo vw on the list XD Im dying laughing I think i'll keep my jetta just to officially turn it into something else
The kit on it's own may be pretty cheap, but the price of getting everything else would probably add up pretty quickly. It would also take a long time (and I'd assume more money) to put the thing together. Then at the end of all of that... it's still a kit car. This is just my opinion, but I think that you'd be better off just buying an actual car
True but most people that do build kits, its the fact that you have the pride of "Built it Myself", the uniqueness of the car (only 350 in the world) and the ability to customize it the way you want to. I love this kit because its not a replica of anything...so totally unique..that's me.

I might do a video on Ultima soon! It's hard to conpare the two since the RS is much more track-focused, whereas the K-1 is good on the street as well

Exactly. The Ultima RS is track ready and street legal. The K1 Attack is either/or.
The Ultima is a nice ride... but "the best" is a point of opinion. Several SLC Ultralights have outperformed every known example of Ultima I'm aware of.
I never knew the K1 Attack was back for sale as a kit!

Why is there such a large fluctuation in price differences between engine options? The K20c1 option has gone up 3k since this video. I don't understand how different motor mounts justify the higher prices between options? It would be one thing if that specific motor came with the kit, but it doesn't. I think it's overpriced with no way of quantifying if what your getting is actually worth 7k more?
Is it possible to have it with automatic transmission?

I just did a "window shop" and it'll still cost over $20k before you even get it to start building. I was hoping for something closer to the $9k price and then I start building.

K1 Attack a nice kit but the finish tough from the body work sucks i havew see the are not perfect and need to do a lot off finishing your self and the componets not fit at all and need remodeling also a bit pitty that the not finish it good at all

FFR GTM or 818, Ultima RS, Superlite SLC or GTR, DF Goblin or Exomotive Exocet or Exovette...there are a ton of great if not better kits than the K1.

You have no idea what you're talking about. The k1 looks good but it's not a very good kit. It sounds like you're reading a brochure. If you want the best go to Race Car Replicas/Superlite cars. I have a Factory Five GTM and FFR is good performance wise but their bodies are crap.

I'm so glad the B-Racing crew saved this design. I've been drooling over it since I saw the concept drawings in 98/99. I fully intended to build a business around it in 2003, when I was told K1 was going out of business. My goal then, was to offer it with sportbike engines or 4-rotor option, and an electric LSV version.
This car came into my life 3 times: first was when a rich friend’s dad was looking into getting the kit when the donor car was a Honda Accord with the H22 power plant, second was seeing a full functioning K-1 at the local rod run for sale listed at $76,000, then the third was in 2017 seeing someone that grafted the front end of the K-1 onto a 2nd gen MR2 selling for $7,000.

I love kit cars bc in my country cars have to be imported but the taxs are super high depending on the engine size without the engine they only charge the 25% so its cheaper in my country

Is there a kit car that incorporates the Mitsubishi 4g 63t Motor?
I don't know if there are any kits made specifically for that motor, but since it's pretty small it could probably be made to fit in a lot of chassis.
