Its been 30 years since I was in Toronto and walked the streets for 3 weeks exploring . So glad I found your channel , reminded me of my adventures around the city.. only I did it in July. Broadview and Danforth was where I started all my walks. Such a beautiful city. Thank you from NORTHERN IRELAND.
How are you Canadians, you live in that freezer, evil snow is everywhere, but life goes on. Greetings to the great Canadian people. Greetings to you, Johnny, I am Ali from Iraq
Forge that path through the snow, Johnny! 🥶 Abso-bloody-lutely stunned by what I've watched on your vids today !! This has been amazing, thank you 👏👏👏💪
I am a native Torontian who still lives in this amazing city BUT yesterday was the very first year in my 40 plus years of working that I was not able to get to my office!
As a kid in the 50's & 60's a snowfall like this wasn't uncommon. Sometimes a snowfall like this was followed 3 days later with another one, followed by a third within another week. The snow piles just kept growing and growing.
I just got back in from carving a path to access the road where the few cars that are able to tread through 40+cm of snow was able to. 1hr of shoveling that (about 40ft worth) and another 40mins of moving the 3 cars around, plus the sidewalks since it seems it may be a while before the city is able to get to them. My manager teamed messaged us at 10:30 saying we won't be open again today *sigh*
That’s crazy, does that happen very often in Toronto? It looks so quiet do people just stay home and no work Iam moving to Toronto this April from Ireland.
This is possibly the worse storm I have ever been through in Toronto. l have never seen so many cars and especially buses stuck in the streets like this. It was bad!!!
It’s looks to be about 6” of snow. That’s nothing crazy. It’s the fact the city doesn’t have crews out doing anything. In Alberta we would have been out battling it in the am so people don’t have to deal with it on the way to work. Then come back for a final clean up later.
@@CANControlGRAFFITI its been a long time since Toronto faced anything like this, a few years ago we had a icey storm but it still wasn't this bad, lots of power outage but still movement was easy. Toronto was not prepared for this.
@@Fred-zk3wv Toronto was prepared, but with almost 6,000 miles of roadways to be plowed, it's just going to take a little time to move millions of tons of snow. 24 hours later all main arteries and most back street neighbourhoods had been plowed and traffic was moving again.
Dear Mr. Johnny Strides..... OK: let's get this over with because people need to know......A Blizard is a cold beverage/ice cream a person purchases at the Dairy Queen.... Johnny is Toronto's Vlogger.... What happened last night, there is a very simple explanation.... The Greek God Zeus was upset with his brother Poseidon, God of Atlantis, and what happened was an exacerbation of two brothers exchanging snowballs.... Two ancient gods were playing, goofing around actually, and unfortunately and neither one will take responsibility for dropping a snowball on Toronto!.... Well... That being said, Mother Nature has decided to discipline the boys by making them shovel driveways, celestial punishment.... Mother Nature sends apologies from the two boys and hopes no one got injured during the antics..... the end.... Always in Good Taste.... CHEERS!.... Be Supportive and Subscribe....
So Johnny Strides. The whole TTC network is shut down because of snow. Millions spent on the Eglinton line, lots of talk about an Ontario line. Youge line upgrades that shut down the subway on weekends. And everything comes to a crashing hault when it snows. What a bunch of B.S.!
I usually enjoy your walks and commentaries however yesterday and today, not so much. Yesterday there were lots of excited kids with toboggans you briefly commented on. They appeared to be enjoying the lovely, magical weather you called "crap" You walked straight by Lawrence park without a look see... possible kids/people playing in the snow. We'll never know. Today you made a comment about tons of buses being stuck... I only saw one. Which is understandable considering the weather. All in all a little depressing and pessimistic I journeyed out when the shy cleared and the sun was setting in golds and purples. The air filled with the scent of burning wood. I watched kids making angels in the snow and tobogganing. I witnessed people helping each other, laughing, talking... It was wonderful. Unfortunately, all too soon it will melt but it was fun while it lasted...
Umm... I try not to film kids whenever possible (unless they're just passing by and it can't be avoided). As for the commentary, they were just observations and there were absolutely TONS of buses that were stuck (I saw about a dozen myself in total).
After 10 am and in the gta without any plow activity. Ontario is pretty ridiculous! I’m in London and they still haven’t even cleared my apt. Parking lot.
This is me just being honest, take it for what it is man. You're channel fell off peoples radar because they got bored of your content because you go to the same places always. One good thing about heavy snow- makes the city quiet.

While in Canada it is snowing, here in Brazil it is at maximum temperatures! From Brazil I leave a like!
OMG snow is only beautiful if u see it through your TV screen. Thanks for showing us the surrounding area though.
We , embrace our beautiful city with tons of snow..👍🏻😍
Thank you for the snow video Johnny keep warm

As always, I enjoyed the video, thanks. That was quite the snow fall, lots of snow in a relatively short period of time.
What a beautiful wonderland! Johnny enjoy the snow and your great city! ❄☃️
That’s a lot of ❄️ for Toronto…..Thanks for all the vids…..great work 👍
I feel sorry for the homeless folk at times like this.
19:51 Johnny definitely needs a pair of timberland boots. 🥾
that snowfall was typical in Toronto in the 60's and 70's as I recall.
Aside from 2 years ago, last I recalled this much snow all at once was maybe 10 years ago when Mayor Mel called in the army.

Great job on this one Johnny!
I did not realize how much snow there was until I left my condo and went outside, and I was shocked 😂

What a snow storm on Monday
A proper winter wonderland
Johnny I must say, Canada get some serious Snow. Keep Warm 👍🏻😁
I hope you have a good day johnny the weather will warm up on Wednesday
I love snow in Toronto. Kinda missed it too.
Toronto looks like Duluth now!
I’m surprised I haven’t seen a snowmobile going down Yonge St downtown yet. I know there were people skiing though.
i mean no one really owns snowmobiles in the city lol
@@bobuxman69
I know plenty of people who own snowmobiles in the city. They just don't keep them in the city 😁
CP24 News did film several snow mobiles and a few ATV's in Yonge Street.
Keep on going.... 🏃💨💨💨
At the end of the video you showed my building
Omg Jollibee!!

I am not a big fan of snow, but strange I do like to look at it but when I retire from work this year, it can snow all it wants.
My wife when I first brought her over was all "oh its so pretty"...then I made her shovel. She changed her opinion quickly but doesn't shovel much.
Lovely
Yah all the craziness would have been an interesting video.😀
