Of course Space X should try to land the Ship on the chopsticks. This will only be attempted if the Ship has a approach course within the error profile Space X has calculated. If the trajectory is outside the safe paramaters it will be blown up or guided to "land" safely in the Gulf.

If Starship is planned to launch three times a day, that means over 1,500 launches a year.

It's not a mini space station! The volume inside the starship that is habitable is larger than the entire space station. You put two of these up and you have more room and space than ever before including all countries combined

If SpaceX nails the virtual landing they will try the starbase landing.

SpaceX should go for it with IFT 5 if IFT 4 goes according to plan! Better to test and fail than not to try. Can make omelets with breaking a few eggs.

Thanks Brother! Do you think the chopsticks will move as the booster approaches its soft-water landing? Simulating the catch at the tower too?

Question, can the booster/tanker fly without Starship?

To fly, it flies but only up to 150km somewhere around there, after which it falls back:)

I would guess at the heart of your question is how well would the booster do at higher altitudes/speeds without the starship in front of it? I’m “guessing” (i.e. without some CFD analysis), there might be some issues with the “bluntness“ of its “nose” as it relates to efficiency/drag/undesirable heating. Just a thought, no warranty expressed or implied😂

If it can't land it can explode there... still a spectacle to watch.😂

it normaly takes a few more trys than elons planning purely seen from results in the past, never the less, i think his engineering talent and drive is amaxong

Acho que quando estiver submerso será emplodido para não cair nas maos erradas.

    Wil,
I’m actually surprised they don't place a huge deployable inflatable balloon in the cargo bay. Why not? If they could keep Starship afloat and tow it back to shallow waters then recover it, I would imagine they'd learn quite a bit. Allowing it to sink means losing all that information. Just my thoughts. Thank you.

Remember; Elons plans May be a bit optimistic.. but Why do you claim its promises?
Isnt it just forward looking statements?
    Doing something newest done before?

So many omissions and much misinformation, please do a better job on the research.
Try and match commentary with images that match.
    Great start, keep it up
