    I get that you need to remove the mirror and cap but do you really need to remove the frame as well to change the led repeater?

    Thanks very useful. Only thing is on mine it was a T10 torx bit not a 15.

    is it possible to do this procedure without removing the mirror glass, if so, can you can make a video on it

      I just did this myself. It is as per the Volvo instructions, the mirror pops off with no issues and is easy to replace.

    Too complicated and not respecting official Volvo work instruction. Was on the replacement in Volvo and they just removed the back plastic cover and then easily unscrew the side repeater! Not really necessary to remove the mirror!!

      Great news. Can you explain how to remove the plastic cover without removing the mirror? It looked like you had to remove the mirror to get access to the locking tabs for the plastic cover. Thanks for any help you can give.

      I just looked this up in VIDA and this is exactly how it is recommended for my 2012 model. Other than using the factory tools, he has done it the way Volvo says to. Mirror has to come off.

      Did this today and you have to remove everything as he does or else it dosnt work.
