I got to be honest, over the last few months I've seen so much anger and hate in Native Instruments comment section. Sheesh! It seems that a lot of NI customers are whining, bratty babies.
I like it! It’s like scaler, arcade, and other tools combined. I will definitely upgrade to Komplete 15 but I am still hesitant because I don’t know if I should wait for Black Friday. Maybe NI will have a discount on upgrades as well?
Not cool, first part sounds awful 😣 This whole K8 upgrade just added more useless sequence and arp based tools… I don’t get it 🤷🏼♂️ Work at the core of Kontakt to improve it as an instrument and sampling powerhouse. Leave the sequencing-part and related trickery to Maschine SW. Keep the latter also focused, to be a fast and creative groovebox, not a complete DAW, because it’s way behind on the competition. Create a ‘builder tool, as an integration between both tools including an exporter that is capable of generating sample based instruments (including sequences and GUI) for a free Player that can be used as a VST, on standalone devices like the M+ or Kontrol Keyboards, and maybe even for an iOS version of the Player. That way you could still build upon your platform strategy, but without bloating every piece of software and integration you build nowadays… most of it containing half-baked features and lots of bugs. If you want a DAW, then please build it from the ground up, and as separate product. A carpenter doesn’t need a hammer with a build in screwdriver, he would rather buy a belt to have them both within reach.
Oh boy that's not good. I think it's getting a bit ridiculous that we are asked to buy a new version almost every year. It's not as if the new versions have anything that will completely revolutionize ones production workflow. I've recently dumped Battery and Konakt for TAL Drum and TAL Sampler, since they are faster, lighter and have 4k compatible scalable interfaces. I'm still using Kontakt for libraries though and I'm perfectly happy with Kontakt 7 which runs really well for me. I can't really see a reason why I need to spend £100 on Kontakt 8 right now. Same goes for the relentless Ozone updates.
A Kontakt lite version which loads faster and needs less cpu without all these „killer features“ would be a instant reason for me to upgrade.

Hate because they don’t understand.
I did not learn anything, nor this was interesting
