Totally agree with you regarding DTW. Even transferring through internationally flying Delta LHR-DTW-LAS, the customs and immigrations were quick, baggage transfer was seamless, the airport had a pleasing aesthetic plus had ample shops, food and drink options, rapid transit access, and seating. All good! Much better than other US airports I have transferred through internationally - ATL/JFK/EWR/BOS/IAH/MIA/MSP/LAX/OAK. Would definitely transfer through there again.
