Living as I do less than 5 miles from Gatwick, I know never take the Gatwick Express - it’s often only 5 minutes faster and a lot more pricey! The standard trains (southern to London Victoria - good for the west end) or Thameslink to London Bridge / Blackfriars / kings cross st Pancras is good for the city and connections to travel north. Also if you get bored, it’s great to take the monorail (I know it isn’t but everyone calls it that!) between the terminals - it’s free and kids love it! 😆
OMG going to Cuba, Cuba does not deserve tourist to go there, they only show you the "nice" things but they are corrupt and they have a horrible dictatorial government, they have kids in prison just because of expressing them self , they torture and abuse the people, they have nothing to eat, to cook, no cloth, no medicine, people are dying because of the lack of medicine, recently 8 newborn died and they will give you any reason to shut you up. I can be months telling you why you shouldn't go and support the dictator ship. Pleas ego some where else
London is great! I try to visit from US every other year (thanks Corona for wrecking it this year!) i've used Gatiwick and Heathrow, no issues. I train from Gatwick to Blackfriars, tube to Tower Hill, 3 minute walk and I"m at my hotel. This video was made 1 month before my last visit when drones caused a huge airport shutdown and I ended up staying 3 extra days there.
Nice! I have looked forward to this. Gatwick Express is a bit more but it's super convenient, every 15 min. Customs were good too, not cheeky for cranky like other customs at airports. Super quick.
I actually missed my flight out of Gatwick to Los Angeles, had to fly out of Heathrow 6 hours and $300 USD later. Nevertheless I got to take the Gatwick Express. Thanks for the vid Jess!

Not much difference between Heathrow and Gatwick in regards to Southampton; actually easier to access via Heathrow I think. Both, however, get you anywhere in the UK eventually and without too much fuss. :)

Hi Christos, I'm not sure that you will be able to buy an Oyster card at that time, and if your flight is delayed, I'm not sure any of the usual places you can buy one will be open. You also have the option to buy Visitor Oyster Cards to get sent to you, or you can buy Heathrow Express tickets ahead of time (you'll get them super cheap if you order now, because the earlier you buy the tickets, the cheaper they are) Hope that helps!

Oh gosh no you can't walk to Victoria. Certains trains go to Victoria. When you're at Gatwick it's very easy to see which ones do as on the board it will say "next train to.... London Victoria" super easy,.
Haha. You can walk if you want! Will take half an hour but you can get direct trains from Clapham to Victoria. And From Gatwick as well. At Clapham tou can also change for Waterloo which is more central London than Victoria which is on West Central London
I love Gatwick Airport. Its elegant perimeter road, its state-of-the-art monorail system, its kerosene-stuffed aeroplanes soaring overhead like aluminium eagles. It's the London airport it's OK to like. Stansted, or Stanstead, or Standstead or Standsted as it's variously known, is an arrogant upstart. City Airport? Full of bankers. London Luton isn't in London and is barely in Luton; and Heathrow is just an absolute TIT of an airport. No, Gatwick is the place to be.
Hello Jess I have a question as I purchased two separates tickets due to coupon rules, one from Venice to Gatwick and then after a few hours gatwick to Oporto , the airline company told me I need to pass through the customs and then go from the arrivals to the departures and pass through the security again (same terminal) how far are departures from arrivals? Depends on which gate you are coming from and also which terminal the second flight is departing from, you might have to change terminals. Just follow signs to exit and then follow for departures for the terminal you need.
@@lil_oreouwu3367 Used to be before they changed to the class 700 rolling stock. Was much more luxurious and comfortable then. Now it is just the same as Southern and Thameslink with a different livery and not much more frequent or quick. All 3 companies are owned by GoviaThameslink now.

Can you use your oyster card for the entire journey, such as Walthamstow E17 to Gatwick?
For Gatwick you can but not for other places outside of London (Gatwick is outside the city.)

How we can buy online train ticket from South terminal train station to pecham high street London
You don't have to buy a ticket, just use contactless debit or credit card, apple or google pay or an Oyster card.

Don't take national express. Regular train is just a few mins longer than Gatwick Express.

MOst likely Aerlingus or Ryan if you have little to no luggage. £15+. Extra luggage is *really* expensive on these airlines

I love Gatwick Airport. Its elegant perimeter road, its state-of-the-art monorail system, its kerosene-stuffed aeroplanes soaring overhead like aluminium eagles. It's the London airport it's OK to like. Stansted, or Stanstead, or Standstead or Standsted as it's variously known, is an arrogant upstart. City Airport? Full of bankers. London Luton isn't in London and is barely in Luton; and Heathrow is just an absolute TIT of an airport. No, Gatwick is the place to be.

Hello Jess I have a question as I purchased two separates tickets due to coupon rules, one from Venice to Gatwick and then after a few hours gatwick to Oporto , the airline company told me I need to pass through the customs and then go from the arrivals to the departures and pass through the security again (same terminal) how far are departures from arrivals? How can I reach them? Looking forward to your reply and thanks in advance
Depends on which gate you are coming from and also which terminal the second flight is departing from, you might have to change terminals. Just follow signs to exit and then follow for departures for the terminal you need.

@@lil_oreouwu3367 Used to be before they changed to the class 700 rolling stock. Was much more luxurious and comfortable then. Now it is just the same as Southern and Thameslink with a different livery and not much more frequent or quick. All 3 companies are owned by GoviaThameslink now.
