We went back to Lake Whitney and found some improvements and some work in progress. Have you stayed at Lake Whitney Thousand Trails?
Awesome tour! Thanks for nice sharing! Have a great week my friends👍💐
Its a nice campground for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting too.
Looks like a great campground 👍
Its nice needs some TLC but it seems it’s getting it now. Thanks for watching and commenting too.
Great content - I work for the electric company that provides them power. I am very happy that the new management has made a commitment to upgrading their power hookups and the roads. The last group just let it go way down hill. We provide for the front part of the park and the co-op does the back. Hopefully, you will be able to come back when they are finished and find it much better. It was tough watching it go down hill, but very glad they have made a huge financial commitment to bringing it back up to what it used to be!
Nice. Absolutely we really like the park and happy they ate doing the upgrades. Thanks for watching and commenting too
Thanks for the tour. I love swerving around and looking at new places. 😃 #swervygang Ken
Awesome glad you liked it. Thanks
Nice review. We’ll be stopping by there in the Fall. Take care.
We loved the sites here super long the only drawback was the lack of dump at most of the sites there. Thanks for watching and commenting too
Love our Tx Blue Bonnets. We just got our coach washed and ceramic waxed wouldn't want that sap on ours right now...Nice trail for walking. Hey suprise Michael and Shelly Nice y'all!!
That sap came off with just a little rain I was super surprised. Thanks y’all.
We got some "sap" on our RV because of the trees. Hope you got yours clean. This place at Lake Whitney is not bad. Yes I see some upgrades that need to be done. Pull through sites are what we go for. Great review thumbs up. 👍
Thanks y’all. We were glad to see the upgrades happening.
not a lot of campers there must still be the slow season. Resurfacing the roads looks like a must . nice review guys
Yeah its off season in TX now its just getting to hot thats why we’re headed north. Thanks y’all.
We were at Lake Whitney a few of months ago. Totally agree with your review. The roads were pretty bad, and not much to do around there. We didn’t stay long, but did enjoy the quietness of the park. I hope they improve the sites and roads soon.
They have started loop A has new power and the roads are getting resurfaced too.
Nice review.
Thanks
Glad to see they’re making improvements. 👍🏻
Thanks
Nice review!
Thanks
That Ttrails looks much like where I stayed at the COE free camping at Whitney and those parks are very nice. No hook ups. Great views.
Thanks LeeLee. It is nice but still needs many upgrades like a lot of the TT parks.
We have stayed once and enjoyed it and glad to see they are making improvements. I agree that it does remind me of a state park and I like that.
We do too. We hope the improvements keep coming too there is a lot to do.
When you see an octagon like that, which you called a sandpit, the kids know that as "Gaga-ball." Our kids had so much fun playing it, when they hear someone say "Gaga-ball" come to attention real quick.
Thats what Allison told me I have heard of it but never seen it played. Thanks y’all.
We have yet to visit any of the TT Parks in Texas, thanks for this great review. Charging for 50 amp power is not just a Texas thing by the way, we have run into that at TT's in Virginia at the Lynchburg TT. Take care you two and safe travels!! 🍻 Sean & Angie
Oh ok we haven’t seen any others that charge the $3 thats good to know thanks y’all.
Seems like a pretty decent place for the short term.
It is and they are finally getting upgrades. Thanks y’all
We really enjoyed Lake Whitney TT! A shame we missed y’all in Texas…🥲 but we will be back that way! Might even buy a base in Texas? we really liked the state! Safe travels guys! 👍💥❤️
Yep we will have to meet soon on the road somewhere. Thanks y’all.
Good review y'all! Is section A going to have sewer too? Loved seeing Michael and Shelly at the end! ~ Shion and Matthew
I don’t think they added sewer to all the sites but that is a good question we didn’t think to ask. Thanks y’all.
Love Lake Whitney but they do need to do a lot of work on it. We have had to cut tree limbs everytime we are there. And yes their roads suck. Always enjoy our time there though 😊 Safe travels! 😘
Too funny we trimmed trees when we were there!! Lol 😂
@@RVBFE 😆
Yep need to get a small chainsaw for my power tools I could have used it there for sure. Thanks Leslie.
We were up there just as the conned-vid madness was cranking itself up. Everything was shut down and it was like a ghost town. i liked the private sites with the bushes all around my wife hated it (lions and tigers and bears, oh my). Glad they are finally putting some of "our money" into these places.
Me too it will be interesting to see if they keep upgrading or not too. Thanks Scott.
Looks like they are doing so good updates! Paying for 50 amp $3 a day seems ridiculous- compared to the rest of the country... Hope the updates go well for them! Safe travels & see you soon! Chasing RV Sunshine ☀️Joel, Deb & 🐕 Maya
Yeah the updates are much needed too. Cant wait to catch up with y’all.
Nice to have shady spots. So many great amenities. I like the channel stickers on your rv. Where did you get them?
We got them from sticker mule here is a link for $10 off.

Not a Thousand Trails fan I guess but as far as they go this one looks pretty nice. Especially the loop they are working on. Thanks for the tour.
Yeah I hope the trend of updates continues across the system they are getting better now. Thanks for watching and commenting too.
Whitney is our home base park cause it's so close to Midlothian where we had our bricks and sticks. It's close to our youngest daughter and our hometown friends. The pool to the end of the park used to be the Adult Lodge, and the front one was the family pool. They changed them to both family pools several years ago. Agreed, they need to work on their streets and their sites. We understand why they have sites bagged, but it's a pain.
The upgrades are a welcome sight hope they keep it up for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting too y’all
At Bay Landing Thousand Trails 50amp has been upgraded and $3 per night
Awesome I hadn’t heard that about bay landing before thanks.
The park layout is nice. The problem is it's run down. Trees overgrown so much to where people can't even pull in. Roads are horrible. They literally filled them in with sand haha. Staff is mostly lazy. Maintenance is horrible. B loop sites are aluminum wired aka dangerous. Trials are overgrown. Locals use it during holidays such as memorial day, 4 of July etc. They stay there weeks and are loud and don't follow the rules. Staff is always high or drunk.
Yep agree hard to argue with that.
Been-there-done-that typical Thousand Trails it's all about swing the bat is it a hit or miss I've ran into a lot of misses on this trip 😡🤣
Yeah I agree it seems in TX anyway they are getting much needed upgrades though. Thanks for watching and commenting too.
3 dollars a night... Umm depends on who's working and what season it is. But yeah most people are like wtf 3 dollars a night haha
Yeah I really don’t like that $3 stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting too
