Just now coming across this video. Thank you for the tutorial. I definitely want to try this method but wondering if basting to the canvass wears it out after lots of use more than pinning.
Great work Andrew! I wondered how you did that but could never find a video showing how. You did a great job without having a camera person. I was still able to see and understand what you said. Happy distancing. My car is currently my reception area where I have my customers and I interact through the use of the hatchback and the side doors for the back seat. No contact between people or their quilts and myself. Sanitizing the hard surfaces in between quilts. Thank you Statler and Gammill.
Thanks, Andrew! Wasn't able to watch live but, I am so happy that it's now on RUclips for reference. Learned a new technique for which I am always grateful. You did a great job demonstrating and hope we see a lot more of you instructing us. You and Michelle stay safe.
Great job Andrew!!!! Buying a long arm is on my list of things to do. Learning a new helpful tips is always welcome. Thank you and be happy quarantining to you too, stay safe. 🙏🙏🙏
I been Halloween gamble sewing machine still deciding if I want one or not love to have one but I think I’m gonna still get the Sweet 16 because I like to do the free motion quilting but I still like watching your videos.
Sharon Blackmore showed how to deal with out of square backing. Does it work with this method? When I first saw you do this, I thought it would make a mess of the leaders. In reality, it would be less stressful than straight pins. With pins your prying and pulling on both fabrics to weave the pins through. Thanks, for the Facebook live videos. An online Quilting With Confidence, would be great.
Great tutorial. Going to give this a try. The sound was cutting out for me as well. Seemed to get worse near the end of the video, being able to watch was helpful given the sound. Excited for the next vid!
Andrew I am having trouble my machine goes to auto restart after a few stitches then of course back tracks does not look good. I called Lis she said to go to TB Delay and change to 0.3, I did then watched video wrapped thread wheel once more. Still does it, I have e mailed Doug at Touch of threads with no replay. I need to get this fixed it does not look good on my customer quilts. Will you please help me fix this problem.

Thank you for the comment Barbara. Stay safe and happy quilting!
I am brand new to Gammill and this is one of the best tutorials I’ve ever seen!

Thank you Andrew. That is something I need to try

I’ve always wondered why others don’t do this
Good idea. The sounds is cutting out during the whole video so it's hard to hear what you're saying. Otherwise, great video.
Hi from AZ
I like your method. Will this ruin my leaders?
It can actually help the leaders stay looking newer. Needles go in and immediately back out, leaving a flexible thread in the canvas.
