The Arriva Redcar Temsa Avenues - Soon To Be Replaced

Having operated with Arriva North East at their Redcar Depot since late 2009, the Temsa Avenues have became uniquely iconic, being the only examples to exist within the UK, making them exclusive to Redcar, giving the Town 'Temsa Town' status...
There are several examples that have now been withdrawn, and some examples did not originally start their life at Redcar. Although with only months left until replacements start to arrive, the time is limited for these Temsas...
Over the years these have certainly picked up the miles, especially when they've had to 'attempt' to climb steep hills when they've ended up on the X4/X93s, although their use at Whitby has been limited as the Temsas are always a last resort if anything goes down...
It will be quite a miss without them roaming about Teesside & East Cleveland, although with they've certainly proved they are bomb proof in some ways, despite being designed as a typical city bus, with many examples still managing to operate everyday service...

Best one out of the fleet personally for me is 4718. However, 4712 isn't bad either. The worst for me I would say is 4704. Some people will be glad when they go. I will be glad for some of them but not for all of them as there are a few gems in the fleet.

The ex Malta examples don't seem to be the best from my experience, especially when they've been on the X4/X93s from Whitby, and with a full load on-board...

@@NorthEastTravel1 I've travelled from Middlesbrough to Scarborough on that on the X93, not particularly the greatest, and although most seats were taken, nobody actually had to stand, which probably helped it get up the hill a little faster haha...

@@centraltransportproductions That must have been painful trip. I wonder if we will still get to see a Temsa out on the X93/94 before they fully get withdrawn.
However, Its good to see all but 2 of Redcars Deckers are out. 7404 and 7609 are the only ones not out atm. I imagine they will put 2 of the X93 branded B9's on the P & R next year though due to the age limit. But during next summer, we will see single decks serving the X94 again no doubt.

@@NorthEastTravel1 Most likely. I keep meaning to do a proper coverage day across Teesside, although that popular saying "There's not enough time in the day to everything you want" is absolutely spot on! The Pulsar 2s on the X4 are great, so hoping to try that once more before the years over...

​@LAMtransport76 drivers told me that too, its redcars worst bus and is falling to pieces and struggles , and all the drivers are not keen, I was on it on what may have been its last day

these buses are a freakin nightmare they break down and have to wait for another bus the exact same bus ya got off a driver told me them buses are like years old they need new 63s the waiting times too are a joke

@@danieldudley2558 "every 10 minutes is a lie" before I waited 2 hours and not one came and several times I've waited 60 - 90mins
