- This weekend I made it over to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex to watch Finals at The Cheerleading Worlds 2018! I sat in the new Arena for a few hours so I could watch the Large All Girl division! Here are the top 5 teams from Large All Girl including Maryland Twisters F5, Cheer Extreme Senior Elite, World Cup Shooting Stars, The Stringray Allstars Orange, and Cheer Athletics Panthers!

Senior elites routine literally brought me tears the passion those girls have is just omg
the energy in senior elite's routine is absolutely phenomenal. i always get chills and tear up when i hear the crowd singing along and see the bond between the girls. even though se will always be my favorite, wcss did a FANTASTIC job, and the panthers' dance was so good!
I am so happy people are starting to realize cheerleaders aren’t just “peppy girls with Pom poms who yell” we are dedicated athletes😁
WOW!! Cheerleading has come a long way since I was in HS/College!! Who knew people could fly!! I don't think I've ever seen so many people simultaneously off the ground!! What an amazing mix of choreography, gymnastics and dance!!!!!!
There is 2 different types of cheer. Allstar and highschool. This is allstar😁

Kathy Beasley Cheer Athletics Panthers won, followed by World Cup Shooting Stars and the bronze medalists are Stingrays Orange. Senior Elite is in 4th and followed by F5 in 5th.

My daughter is on WC Shooting Stars. She wasn’t on the team in 2018 but she did win worlds 2019!

I know its insane! I been an allstar cheerleader for 6 years and I've completed at the Cheerleading Summit and I went to Worlds last year to watch my old gym and other teams and its crazy!!
I bet at least one of you, if not both of you, are going to Hollywood Studios tomorrow for "May the Forth" and "Force Fridays". Can't wait for the video! :)
Most likely, we will see what the crowd is like. Idk if they are doing anything official though :(
I love cheer and do photography of it. I started out doing the dance pictures for worlds and Uk bid teams as my daughter daned there,, but over the past year cheer has just grabbed me, i will miss 2019 and i am gutted but yrs and yrs of worlds financially kills, so i am taking a year out to recover. 2018 to 2019 will be uk cheer only for me, after that its back to worlds for the foreseeable future . I do miss it, its just the disney thing, then the ESPN/Coronado experience and seeing the effort that goes into it from the athletes, one thing i did shoot this year was in the Arena, cheer for learning difficulties teams and the paracheer teams, cheer for me is all inclusive, and seeing both able bodied teams and those with difficulties treated the same was wonderful, in fact one team in particular almost mad me cry, i have never seem teens loving their dance so much with the disabilities they had, was amazing and humbling at the same time. I left the arena with a massive smile on my face, and went to thank the teams exiting. Loved my time there.

Loved this. I was an all star and Pop Warner cheer coach for 10 years. Went to Nationals a few times there. It's been 12 years since. It was good to see it again. My family will be spending a week at Disney last week of September. Maybe we'll see you guys?

We live in Colombia. My husbands trainer went to that competition and competed with his university. I will have to show him this video.
You should also go to the summit and d2 summit, they are like worlds but for lower levels :)

I cheer at the same gym of f5 I know some of the girls I have been cheering at Maryland twister for 7 years and when I saw the video title and it said large all girl I said I bet it’s gonna be f5 and it was lol

Cool video. I had the opportunity to experience some of this way back in 2001 when I worked at Disneyland. I was primarily an attractions host at Splash Mountain, but once in a while I would be scheduled to work either crowd control for parades or special events. In 96 or 97 after Hunchback of Notre Dame came out, Disney built this "Festival Arena" for a show based on the film, Eventually that show was stopped and the arena (which still stands today I think, well at least according to Google Maps it does. May be done away with for the Star Wars expansion) was used for special events or private parties. In March 2001, I was scheduled for crowd control, for they had the Dance & Cheer competition at Fantasyland stage inside Disneyland. The girls were using the arena area for practice. My job was to prevent regular guests from going into the arena, only allowing the girls and their families. It was something seeing the hard work & effort they put into it, as well as seeing their disappointment when they didn't win. Winning those things is everything to them.

The one I worked probably wasn't cheer worlds. It was some sort of other competition. But it was definitely cheer leaders.

chelsea byerley he’s right they used to have National cheer competitions at Disney Land in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I cheered for Maryland Twisters. Also Mike is talking about Disneyland which is in California. DisneyWorld is in Florida where Worlds are currently held.
So sad to see what happened with F5 and seeing some of the girls at the end give up :(
