Thank you so much for your support and kind words! We're so happy with how the video turned out and are so pleased that the stories piqued your interest! We're beyond grateful to have gotten to work with you. And although we can only provide boxes to subscribers within the UK at the moment, we happily accept submissions from anywhere in the world 🙂
Sounds like a nifty service, particularly in promoting indie works, which don't usually have the same sort of marketing budget as mainstream publications. Thanks for alerting us to this operation.
Thank you! That's one of the pain points we're trying to address, although we'll never be able to fully replace an indie author's marketing, we definitely hope to be able to supplement it 😊
Wow! This subscription box is amazing. I downloaded both books. I hope they consider the U.S. in the not so distant future. Thank you for sharing. Happy Reading!
I like their attention to detail. Made me think -- hey, I should do something like that in retirement. Then I started figuring shipping and other costs here in the U.S. and immediately got a headache. 😁
Thank you so much!!! The logistical side of everything has proven to be an endeavour/nightmare to say the least, but one that we're happily working through! 🙂
Sounds like really good books! But orchard of skeletons sounds like a book i would like to read but sadly it doesnt ship to sweden. I hope you enjoy them
This does look good. I'm rather disappointed that they don't stretch things to include impoverished very small presses. 🙂 I am tempted to try to talk them into taking on Bev Allen's 'A Solemn Curfew & Other Dark Tales'. She couldn't self-publish it, due to her chronic health condition. We took it on knowing full well we'd likely never recoup our costs, because we really love her, and her work. We don't care about the money, we'd just love people to read it. I do wonder, though, if their idea of doing a different genre every month might not cost them regular subscriptions.
I think it's definitely worth you getting in touch with them. I kind of agree about your final point - the focus on the kind of author rather than the genre is different take on subscription boxes for sure. I hope it's successful for them though
Our submissions are always open on our website! Although we do specify and focus on self-published, exceptions can always be made under the right circumstances. There are more considerations when dealing with publishing houses, especially given that we handle printing and distribution, but we're happy to discuss such things! Our ultimate goal is to help support indie authors, whatever that might look like ☺
@@CriminOllyBlog It could be made to work. I imagine they could give subscribers the opportunity to opt out of any particular box, simply by checking a box on their account page. I forgot to mention, by the way, that Necrotown definitely looks to be a good fit for Occult Detective October, and if someone was to fancy writing a review for the magazine, I would be glad to receive it. ;)
@yourpaperquest Thanks. I'd rather hoped that would be your attitude. I shall contact you soon. The advantage is we could give you the pdf we uploaded to Amazon, which you would have to tweak, but it would save you some time. Bev has severe MS, and is pretty much immobile now, and she also had cataracts so bad she couldn't read, or write for ages. Thankfully, she's had one of her eyes done at last, and can see again. Add to that the fact that she's dyslexic, and you'd be pushed to find an author who has suffered under harder conditions to get her work read.
Looks great! I live on an incorrect continent, unfortunately (though we do have people taking alligators to sporting events on leashes), so I can't play til they expand. But the books look good, and i really do like that watch band!
@@yourpaperquest Thank you. I have decided to give you a fair hearing, so I’ll get at least a couple of boxes before I decide whether you are for me or not. Anyway, I just subscribed.

I'm so sooo jealous! Manifesting amazing book boxes like this in Australia 😌

Congratulations on the sponsorship. Both books in terms of the overall look seem to be high quality and the packaging looks pretty sustainable, too.
Yeah I was impressed by the overall package
Thank you! Yes, the packaging is made of 100% recycled material that is fully recyclable itself as well.
Thanks so much for your kind words for Necrotown. I appreciate the spotlight on your channel.
My pleasure! I actually just finished it and talk about it again in my video going up later today
The UK has all the cool subscription boxes.
We do!
Thanks for the mention, it's much appreciated.
A pleasure!

Hopefully they will! Thanks Diane 😊
@@CriminOllyBlog You're welcome. Thank you for all you do.
So, you can send them your work and they’ll maybe publish it?
No; I think if you have an already self published work they will consider including it in their box

Both of those books look cool ! I wonder if they have plans to expand to include the U.S.
