I have had a Spreadshop store for just over a year and have barely sold anything due to the shipping costs which everyone complains about, so I am looking for a new company that also charges less for their products too. Thanks for the idea of a couple of less expensive sites to try.
7:34 Damn, this caught me off guard, because in my country it takes months for anything to arrive hahaha the state system here is horrible, but there are some services that deliver the product in 1 day
@@shimmymorris1 I appreciate the response sir. I'd be interested to see if Printify would be a good alternative I could use. Please let us know how Printify works out for you. Thx .
Just set up hoodie sweatshirts and when all is factored in, for the same Gildan 18500 I’d need to charge $4 more than doing it through Printify. On these pricier blanks my buyers would balk at paying over $50 for a hoodie so … this round goes to my Printify. I am probably going to use Spreadshop for exotic things but keep all the basics in my Printify/Etsy.
I have an old Redbubble account that has over a 1000 designs on it. I haven't uploaded anything to it in over 2 years but I still get a few sales a month from it. In fact according the info on RB I do pretty well for the views versus sales ratio. There just aren't enough eyeballs seeing the designs over there to really make any money. My YT channel that I started in February is at 537 subs right now and I'm thinking of moving those designs from RB to my own merch store and plugging it on my YT videos. Many of the designs are in the retro gaming niche which my YT videos also cover. Its just a matter of figuring out which merch website to use. You're right about those shipping times though that is ridiculously long. I doubt I would order anything if I knew it was going to take that long to ship.
Did you order a Spreadshirt brand blank for the print you showed or Fruit of the Loom blank? I think the Spreadshirt blank cost in $19.99 and the Fruit of the Loom is the basic T-shirt starting at $16.49,which is the price you mentioned the quality is way different between the two.
One thing I always loved about Redbubble was that when you made one design the platform would automatically add it to all of thier products which was a huge time saver. You could always go to each design and make small modifications if you needed to but boy was it convenient. Do any of these POD companies do this same format?
Thanks for the awesome feedback! Your input is invaluable, and we're already on it, working to address those topics. Keep up the fantastic work! Feel free to reach out and we can chat about all PoD. Dennis Doerfl, Global Head of Spreadshop
Legend really appreciate the video really useful. Question: In theory could I massively inflate my prices and use this storefront as a kind of bespoke POD back room (seperate to my other POD stores as these prices will be much higher) by diverting organic traffic from places like YT/Tiktok to speadship to create the illusion of a kind of free shopify POD store ? Thanks!
it changes as i test new ones out and re test old ones. printful is up there for ease of use. awkward styles is up there for quality and integration and gelato is up there for shipping. amazon is number one though mainly because of audience size
Hi thanks for the video. My concern is the sign up process. I am in New Zealand and my audience is global. Apparently there are different regions you sign up to accordingly. How do I know if I am signing up to the right one.
that's a great question! I would email support to make sure you get it right. It would be annoying to have an account in the wrong region. I signed up for the US market as that's the biggest
hmmm that's strange. Have you checked spam? I test it every few days so it's definitely working. I would try another email address or your spam folder.
@@shimmymorris1 k . The reason why I ask.. because I heard rumors about getting sued and having all your assets/house or something like this taking if you don't get an llc. But at the same time you re working for these pods.. I don't know who would these customers go after..
Hey Mr Shimmy Can you make a youtube video on how us Indians can start our POD international in a detailed way plssss. From setting up our store to design's. And also how we can accept payments international from India? By the way Love your content 😍/ First to comment!
some companies you can create a payout when you want, but honestly i wouldn't worry about that. Let's start with sales, when its getting busy enough then we can worry about more frequent payouts. Most companies i use you get paid as you get a sale or at least a few days after
Ads is still the best, especially amazon ads if you're part of their merch program. Social media is also huge. Tiktok shops is cool and its gna take off very soon!
@@shimmymorris1 the video editor should let you amplify without busting max volume and getting distortion. You can then also use 'limiting' to boost the audio through some mild compression eg 5db can work very well. So long as the audio has 24bit recording should be good even without increasing volume on the mic, but otherwise a bit of careful increasing of volume to avoid distortion. With a noisy mic however you might have to make it high volume in the first place.

I find delivery sooo important!
My priority is finding a POD printer that is printing designs that dont wash off
it depends on the techinque used.
That shipping time is a deal-breaker for me. Who do you recommend as your next choice, that could do maybe 5-7 day shipping?
ye it's such a shame. I'm now testing printify, hopefully they have they have the answers to our problems

@@shimmymorris1 Have you had a chance to test Printify yet?
Well in germany shipping is 4 days. but maybe because of UK etc.

Do any of those companies allow us to create custom labels in shirt.?
some do and some don't
Printful or printify does. I have seen that feature, just don't remember which one exactly atm

the issue is a design isn't made to work on every product... sometimes it needs to be adapted
Thanks!
wow thank you!
And you are the reason why I signed up with them today 😂☝️
Thanks for this video. I'm still in love with awkward styles since you recommend them, but thanks anyway, hahahaha.
Overall Which is the best in your opinion?
Honestly, because of website traffic and audience size i would have to say amazon

Very helpful vid! I am looking for a POD website that has good oversized t-shirts, produced in Europe. Any good suggestions?

Bro this is off topic.. do you need an llc and ein number for these pods?
I'm not sure about an LLC but you don't need an EIN

There is another video that claims that the quality of the T shirts and the printing is not so good to say the least.
