  • Almost Christmas and a cold spell moving through. I finally get to try out the old pot belly stove I restored. The paint curing wasn't a delight to smell. Numbers tells me a lot, so I did some testing to check out temperatures of the firebox, stove pipe and the surrounding area, even from down below. Everything checked out great.
    Merry Christmas!

It's an old timer for sure, and I got a smokin' deal on it. I'm surprised at how efficient it is, expecially for its age.

Man I found a wood stove identical to yours at a flea market 10 years ago and could kick myself for not buying it. Been looking for one ever since. Merry Christmas Blair.

@deanbarr5740 thanks and same to you and your family & friends. It's small, but almost too big for the area I'm heating. I hate to keep the stove temperature too low and load up the chimney with creosote. It seems quite efficient. I can't even see smoke coming from the chimney.
