    Summary:
    ●Impulse conducation pathway:
    SA node(60 to 100 beats/minute) --> AV node -->AV bundle(bundle of hiss)--> purkinjie fibres(left and right branches)
    ▪︎P-Wave: atrial depolarization
    ▪︎QRS Complex: ventricular depolarization/atrial repolarization
    ▪︎T-wave: ventricular repolarization.
    ●EKG INTERPRETATION:
    1. P wave :
    > the first small bump(atrial depolarization)
    > upright
    2. PR interval:
between P wave and QRS Complex
    > counted by measuring the number of small boxes to 0.04s
Normal value= 0.12 to 0.20s (any value greater or less than thi indicates arrhythmia )
    3.QRS Complex (inverted V shaped
    •Many big boxes are present
•One big box has 5 small boxes in one row and there are 5 rows.
    •one small box represents 0.04s.h
    ●Rules for measuring the graph:
    A Six seconds rule:
    >works for irregular beats
    > No. Of Rs between 1st and 3rd mark
    >Multiply the number if Rs by 10( for example, if there are 6 Rs between the 1st and 3rd mark then 6×10= 60beats/min
    B. Big box method: count the number if small boxe between 1st and 2nd mark and divide 300 by that number( for example: no. Of small square= 5, 300/5= 60 beats/minutes.

Man I’m in my EKG course now and originally picked instructor led for this reason. I was the only one who signed up so I had to do self paced. This helps so much with somebody explaining to me with visuals. Reading the strip with determining rhythm and heartbeat is the main issue I’m having. This helped so much more than the ECG mastery textbook I have.

@@funnylittleworld2154 if you can explain as clearly to me all about atrial fibrillation it would be most helpful. It runs in my family and the cardio physiologist put in a loop recorder because they thought I might have it too. So far they haven't found anything but PACs and PVCs and a few SVTs. I ask ny cardiologist what A Fib looks and feels like and he just says it's an irregular heartbeat. I have Kardia as well but it only picks up 3 of the most common types of arrhythmias. When I was having a few bouts of "possible A Fib" as recorded on Kardia my cardiophysiologist said it wasn't long enough to worry about blood thinners but they put the loop recorder in anyway. So what is it???

I am an old person with a dodgy heart. I decided that if this test is going to be in my life, I need to know how to read them. The technician at my cardiologist was *very* disparaging as to my ability to learn this. (My basic theory regarding learning is, since a person can read these, and I am a person, I can learn to read these too-even though my learning curve is not as steep as it once was.) I watched the more detailed (complicated) MedCram video. Then I watched your marvelous video which tied it all together for me. My cardiologist appointment is next week. By then, with review, I should have this down *pat*. 😁 THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I love your tutorials!! I have been an RN for long time, however, have not worked in medical centers in a long time. Decided to go back and having anxiety attack about upcoming tele test!!! Mental Block and anxiety off the CHARTS and so much self-doubt almost decided to not go back to it. Your videos took a load off my shoulders because I needed the review (it started to come back to me) and made the the EKG reconnect. Thanks!!

Your missing the internodial pathway from the SA node to the AV mode. Which has 3 pathways antierior, middle, and posterior internodial pathways.

yes, but for simple straight overview, I think it's ok to skip if the goal is quick size up of the EKG
