See.. If you want to play a 4231 you need a number 10(creator) a 2 holding midfield infront of the defense line. The 2 dms have 2 roles.. 1 sitting back and being a deep line playmaker to firstly buildup and break the press.. then also add up numbers for your back line when your full back optionally is in an advanced role. Then the 2nd DM has a box to box role cutting passing lanes and picking up all those loose passes and spaces to start the counter attack. Now in these 2 roles, we have our deep line playmaker in Partey but don’t have our box profile - 1st issue. 2nd issue - In a 4231, you need a creative number 10 like in Odeegard of Arsenal, and Madison in Tottenham. In the black stars, we don’t have a number 10. Kudus is NOT a number but can play the false 9 role like in Harvetz of Arsenal. In conclusion our coach is isn’t ready for the Black Stars Pedigree not about being ready to coach but can’t coach blackstars with pedigree. The coaches with balls are those who set up their teams in formations that fit the player strength they have like in Ancelotti’a 4312 from 433 because of Bellingham. With wingers as his front 2.
What I think the coach should have done is, should have played a 433 false 9 formation if he wanted his 9s to strike from the wings. So… Defending We keep the natural back 4 he chose with Alidu balanced in advance role and Lamptey in full overlap so we have a back 3 when Lamptey is in attack. Midfield Partey - deep line playmaker Ashimeru & any other 8 on the bench with Ashimeru allowed to get forward and the 2nd 8 in balanced and picking the box box role Attack Kudus in the False 9 role with the free roam instruction allowing Jordan and Inaki to get in behind after Kudus exits his role with Lamptey adding up to the attack to send in crosses or late runs and to find our physical and well built 2 9s to finish. My thoughts on what the Coach could have done and hope you guys read and then give me a chance to come explain this further in your studio 🙏

The Black Stars are a complete mess right now. This is the worst I’ve seen the Black Stars in my time (I’m 36). What’s sad is, the team has a lot of quality players! The talent is there, but the coaching is poor, the higher ups aren’t making good decisions, players are committed to being on the team but not giving their absolute best for the country. What has happened to the Black Stars we all used to love?! I believe that we will qualify but the boys need to put their pride aside and win the hearts of Ghana football fans

The coach will fix them and all them to play for 80+ minutes and lackadaisical attitudes displayed by these players hmmm.
