When you see something at 350m if you wiggle back slowly until you hit 351 then stop and wiggle until you hit 350 again and stop. The bullets move slightly lower or higher. I went from 349 and then slowly tapped my controller until I hit 350. Then I would wiggle back 1 time each shot until I hit 351 and stopped. You can see the bullets creep down. Unless it's my breathing lol...
Darkdally I did non stop testing and just with the cock and it moves little less than quarter a bullet down or up. However, auto aim will correct that and it's not that much of a difference unless your going for a 1k shot, lol.

Its likely un-represented visually ingame but assumed that the range finder would allow you to adjust your scope to compensate for range, thereby reducing apparent bullet drop (compared to crosshairs, "actual" bullet drop doesn't change, the scope just makes you aim higher) and increasing effective range by increasing "vertical" accuracy, not so? EDIT: With a Digital Scope it might even auto-adjust, so they're not even handwaving it. Also notice that the p416 zooms in further with scopes. I noticed that when using the digital scope the iron sight ring on top would be partially cut off with most ARs but completely gone with p416. Some snipers do that too which changes the fov.
Yeah it's something I've showed a few times, that all the rifles kind of have their own unique field of view, even with the same scopes. But as they each have their own bullet drop, you're adjusting what mildots you use anyway, so I don't see it as a big deal - just a minor inconsistency.
There is still a problem with changing scopes. Here are a few examples where the small crosshair is the center of the screen that is the actual point of aim. I could, it'd mean redoing it all again, but wouldn't mean doing a whole new series, I know. I'll probably get to that, as I'm sure it's something that'll get requested more as I do this with the assault rifles.

SIEGEENGINESLUG here (that's my profile name in GRW), love your videos and channel ;) When I'm playing GRW co-op with newer players I always recommend them to your channel, especially when I see them missing easy shots at short distances, I'd say to them "Have you checked out any of DARKDALLY's YT videos on GRW weapon load outs or bullet drop, if not you should as they've helped me out a lot" and I really do mean that as I've just recently passed the 1000 long distance kills threshold and I probably wouldn't have been able to do that without some of the tips that I've used just from watching your videos. If you get a chance please check out some of my recent Predator takedown videos on my YT channel were I take him down with the El Cuentista and two other videos were I use just handguns.

Well, I didn't have this fully 100% figured out at the time I did that one, but in that video I did compare it to a stock SR-1 also using a TARS101, and they hit exactly right on which tells me that it's right in line with the stock SR-1. I was still using my flawed aiming system there, but it's clear that if I were aiming at a static target, and not that one I placed, they'd hit exactly the same, though of course the mildots on the scope are different.
interesting. in real life, you would zero your rifle at a specific distance. you would compensate your point of aim based on distance. so my question is, at what distance did they zero the fire arms at? great content by the way. subscribed
@@derekjeffords9389 I actually think the zero distance is what creates the change in impact point when you change optics... that seems to be sensible as a shorter zoom optic would be zeroed for shorter distance than a longer zoom optic.

probably just the way it's showing the arc. I'm sure it's not changing where they actually hit.

I find it easier to aim over the shoulder on like smgs, ars and shotguns but it’s easier to aim in the scope with dmrs and sniper rifles
A "digital scope" or elcan, possess greater accuracy. The panoramic sight is probably a 2moa sight

Found out that the TA31H acts differently based on what weapon it is placed on, even on the first zoom level.

well it depends on your range. with an assault rifle at ranges over 200m, you do have to start aiming higher to compensate.
