as a guitarist I want to hear bass more often. like how it is in iron maiden or black sabbath at least. If it exist then you should be able to hear it.
As a bass player even the drummer took the bass when taking a small break on rehearsal. So relatable this one! Ah well, being the lesser skilled musician, the others should have been thankful I didn’t arrive with a radiator or fire extinguisher instead of my bass guitar!
I compose music on my guitar since 2014. My guitar work is ok but damn I always have so much fun composing bass parts to my chords. Also like another comment said: "As a guitarist I can say I do appreciate a nasty bass tone mixed well in songs and not buried under everything " I totally agree! The bass is an awesome instrument and should treated as one and not like only playing roots (even though sometimes a simple bass sounds awesome too). What got me really into bass was Queensryche's masterpiece "Operation Mindcrime" and later Trivium's "What the Dead Men say". I could hear the bass pretty well in the mix and what the bassists are playing is just fun to listen to! ^^
It ain't no secret, I love the bass guitar. I've played it just about as long as I've played guitar. I find it strange when people play one but not the other. I love a good bassline and have always written cool bass parts in my own music. Bass is so cool.
idk if it's because I have a British father or what it is but that last part where you say "Ah, forgot my bloody kettle!" actually made me laugh why is this so funny to me lmfaoo. Keep up the good videos I share them with my one friend who actually likes music and playing guitar like me!
I just want to play every instrument ever but I feel like this with my alto sax because it's so loud that I only feel comfortable playing it when the family is away.
Looks like chocolate/dookie. Sure, the shape is super cool, and a multiscale one would look even more metal and cooler… But the colour brown looks like s***
So relatable as a former bass player turned guitar player myself, even when I listen to songs I'm much more interested in a sick bass line as apposed to a sick guitar solo
I’m mainly a guitarist but learned bass in high school for our school band and it’s been my secondary instrument since, it’s a great instrument to have on hand for when you’re doing some recording and you need to do a bass part or live if your band is in need of a bassist
‘Just practicing my wheelies’ Can we please have video where we meet your neighbours and get their thoughts on all the crazy shit they must hear coming from your place 😂😂😂😂
Im a guitarist that prefers guitar obviously, but I lovee the sound of a fretless bass, I’ve liked the sound since listening to one of my favorite bands Obscura
I can so relate to that. I suck at bass but low to pick it up and “play » some funky riffs. But at the same time it is not the sexy/impressive part of a rock/métal song. Since I suck at bass I cannot replicate the virtuoso stuff so Indonit when nobody’s looking.
I primarily play guitar but one of my favorite parts of writing and tracking is bass. I love the impact a good bass line can have on the overall feel and quality of the song. And my 65 IQ has nothing to do with it
I started as a bassist...man I need to start playing again. Just like alot of folks in the comments, I love hearing the bass in metal. Maybe you can do a list of the best metal bass,as far as albums are concerned?
Bradley this sounds amazing the tone and the general playing was really really good for this one mate sounded like you deffo improved lad so well done also keep up the austism spree videos love consuming them much love
I'm probably the only guitarist in exitence that innitially wanted to be a bass player. Yes, for real. My small town only had cheap acoustics and Squire strats, and later I just figured it's easier to stick to guitar if I want to join a band sooner rather than learning bass from scratch. So, yeah, bass is amazing, pls more bass content!
fun fact: do y’all know Another Bites the Dust studio version is actually played in the key of F? so technically the bass part we all love and know is wrong if played in standard tuning. though it’s true that queen used to play it in E live
As a guitarist I can say I do appreciate a nasty bass tone mixed well in songs and not buried under everything
Thank you brother
as a guitarist I want to hear bass more often. like how it is in iron maiden or black sabbath at least. If it exist then you should be able to hear it.
Band-Maid is a modern rock group that does this really well.
@@Metal_Auditor they do sound good
@@tarimkoysever I saw them in Dallas in October. Monster sound live.
as a bassist turned guitar player, this might be my favourite video y've'done'yet
Same here haha. Love bass but realistically speaking, there's more you can do tonally and still have it sound good in a mix
Y'veyou'ghk're
I’m not fully converted yet but the new 5 string I bought has just been sittin’ there watching me play my old ass guitar all the time lol
@@acog_quarks8753 That's eerily similar to my 5 string bass hanging on the wall, while I keep the guitar by my side. :D
Still play bass
As a guitarist who has never played bass, I can confirm that this video is extremely accurate
As a bass player even the drummer took the bass when taking a small break on rehearsal. So relatable this one! Ah well, being the lesser skilled musician, the others should have been thankful I didn’t arrive with a radiator or fire extinguisher instead of my bass guitar!
Or your bloody kettle... Wait a minute 🤔
The drummer for The Khind has a funny skit where he plays a slap lick on bass while playing a beat on drums
1:10 Imagine in a live studio recording the bassist just gave up and got a guitar.
Yeah, normally is the other way
🤣
this riff was absolute Megadeth-influenced and i fuckin love it
This is totally accurate. Not a single bassist goes anywhere without his / her kettle, spot on!
There's no secret, I love bass even though I'm a guitarist. I can't wait to finally hear bass on a metallica album...one day perhaps
What is the song name he's playing?
You can hear it quite loudly in certain parts of songs better
Any album with Cliff.
That song really gave me 'Poison Was the Cure' vibes. Great stuff 👍🏽
I was thinking Set Me Free (the one by Heathen).
I have so much fun each time I decide to play bass! Then I remember the social status of bassists and take the guitar for band practice.
As a guitarist of 20 years, I bought my first bass a few months ago and love it. Not even ashamed to play bass on one song in my band!
I'm a multi instrumentalist who plays guitar, drums and bass. And I can say from experience, bass is far more difficult than people think.
Real note, killer bass tone and riffage!
I compose music on my guitar since 2014. My guitar work is ok but damn I always have so much fun composing bass parts to my chords.

This video took an unexpected turn. I love it ❤️
As a bassist myself… yes!!! Also… very megadethy 😊
Bro, did not expect you to just shred the hell out of that bass!!
Lmao. The "just practicing my wheelys" got me. 😂 Yes more bass content for sure!
Damn that lead work is super tight!!!
Bass is also banging FYI 👌
As a bassist I can appreciate the honesty
It ain't no secret, I love the bass guitar. I've played it just about as long as I've played guitar. I find it strange when people play one but not the other. I love a good bassline and have always written cool bass parts in my own music. Bass is so cool.
Bradley Hall after 2 bass videos:
check m8, slap that bass 🇮🇹
Sick tune! Put it on spotify, I need it in my playlist!
That end jam is beyond awesome and powerful! SWEET!
0:20 Smooth, very, very smooth.
As of late I've been noticing that Bradley has been slowly but surely joining us in the Deathspell Omega fan club.
This sounds like Megadeth circa 85-90...which is absolutely awesome
that's so true, every opportunity I have to play the bass I play it
absolutely loving the skit -> kickass solo format ❤
I respect you even more for wearing a deathspell omega t-shirt!
As a Guitarist turned Bassist, I agree
I proudly play both. "Shortest Straw" with the bass added in the the best.
idk if it's because I have a British father or what it is but that last part where you say "Ah, forgot my bloody kettle!" actually made me laugh why is this so funny to me lmfaoo. Keep up the good videos I share them with my one friend who actually likes music and playing guitar like me!
Yes!!! Bass is the most the most evil sounding instrument....also loved that Steve Di Giorgio style thrash bass solo
I just want to play every instrument ever but I feel like this with my alto sax because it's so loud that I only feel comfortable playing it when the family is away.
solar basses are so gorgeous man
Looks like chocolate/dookie.
Sure, the shape is super cool, and a multiscale one would look even more metal and cooler…
But the colour brown looks like s***
The practicing wheelies was so unexpected
So relatable as a former bass player turned guitar player myself, even when I listen to songs I'm much more interested in a sick bass line as apposed to a sick guitar solo
Dude, came across with one video the other day and now this one. Subscribed right away 😂👏
You should really consider doing a full track of that with lyrics.
Holy shit that was wicked!
( Especially the kettle move)
Great vid man! This bass tone reminds me a lot of what Exodus has going on.
Man that guitar solo was fucking sick. Really great video!
I’m mainly a guitarist but learned bass in high school for our school band and it’s been my secondary instrument since, it’s a great instrument to have on hand for when you’re doing some recording and you need to do a bass part or live if your band is in need of a bassist
"jus practicing my wheleiys"
I'm dead 💀
0:17 reminded me of that video where the guy resorted to saying "drugs" instead of anything.
Yes and yes to more bass videos!!
‘Just practicing my wheelies’
Can we please have video where we meet your neighbours and get their thoughts on all the crazy shit they must hear coming from your place 😂😂😂😂
I play both for various projects and live bands, gotta diversify lol!
as a guitarist i love the the bass because of the Ummppfff that you feel you play it
Im a guitarist that prefers guitar obviously, but I lovee the sound of a fretless bass, I’ve liked the sound since listening to one of my favorite bands Obscura
Yes! So true. Have been there and done it.
Archspire's bassist is epic. Archspire being my favorite band to. Anyways great video.
mighty fine bass there. make more bass videos, itd be sick
Love bass! My first love. Played bass for years in a band. Now I'm learning guitar to write my own songs. 💪💪
every guitarist has secretly the desire to play bass :D
as a guitarist i love playing bass!
Nice coming out bro
Damn that Solar bass looks badass!!
last part is literally "What if John Myung joined Megadeth"
Love your shit! Fun and inspiring!👏🔥🤘💪
that track at the end **chef's kiss** 😘 👌
As someone who plays both this is on point 😅
You are great. So joyful and funny as always.
Nice playing!
Guitar player of about 15 years here. I’ve always loved bass as well. There’s not that many things more satisfying than a nice groovy bass line
As a bassist who only plays bass I can say that I do like bass
bloody accurate
I can so relate to that.
I suck at bass but low to pick it up and “play » some funky riffs. But at the same time it is not the sexy/impressive part of a rock/métal song. Since I suck at bass I cannot replicate the virtuoso stuff so Indonit when nobody’s looking.
Bruh the switch from bass to guitar got me💀
I do be diggin the bass
This is all so true, there's something about bass that makes me secretly prefer it over the guitar. Don't tell my guitar teacher
I’ve had to learn how to play pretty much anything I’ve wanted in songs I’ve written. Bass is easily one of my absolute favorite parts to record
Fan theory: Lars and James mix Bradley's music.
'I like low end, as long as it's... somewhere else!' to quote James.
I primarily play guitar but one of my favorite parts of writing and tracking is bass. I love the impact a good bass line can have on the overall feel and quality of the song. And my 65 IQ has nothing to do with it
More bass Beanley ‼️ I play guitar but I've been meaning to get myself a bass just cause I love how sinister it can be in a mix 🤘🏾
I got a bass last year, for recording demos. I am now thinking of playing bass in a band.
insane hypothetical.
I started as a bassist...man I need to start playing again. Just like alot of folks in the comments, I love hearing the bass in metal. Maybe you can do a list of the best metal bass,as far as albums are concerned?
Ah, what a lovely and adorable old-fashioned sound. Absolutely great! More BASS!
That is a NASTY bass riff you made!!! I dig it!!!
Bradley this sounds amazing the tone and the general playing was really really good for this one mate sounded like you deffo improved lad so well done also keep up the austism spree videos love consuming them much love
As a bassist, it’s kinda like the opposite for me. I sometimes like to play a cheeky little bit of guitar
Bass makes me happy
Glorious.
The solo is sick
Without bias, I say yes, more bass please and thank you.
I`m a guitarist but i borrowed a bass from a friend yesterday, this video has the perfect timing!!! 😄
That's some thrashy goodness
your so good at playing the guitar
Meanwhile, the bass in almost every speedrun video by Beanley : am I a joke to you ?
Is this my sister secretly trying to play my bass when I’m gone and when she’s gone, I play her guitar? 😳
That tone is nasty!
Hey bradley that bass looks good which bass is it?
bass domination
Nice deathspell omega shirt!
Yes please
Nice riffs at the end. Reminds me of Voivod!
Early Megadeth
Catchy song... and catchy bass too
fun fact: do y’all know Another Bites the Dust studio version is actually played in the key of F? so technically the bass part we all love and know is wrong if played in standard tuning. though it’s true that queen used to play it in E live
