Just got the worst RNG for Sasquatch with all 6s to unlock him😢, but normal do open 2-4 orbs to get 20-30 shards ahead …. This has given me 4 star most times.
Basically have been doing this for a long time. General rule I utilize is use cores for orbs until obtaining about half the shards needed for the unlock, then wait for the event. On rare instances I'll do more, and with good RNG I hit the unlock or close to it before getting to half and I'll just finish it off. Otherwise I wait for the event and get the character early in the milestones, and almost always at least wind up with a 4 star.
Yessir, I'm loving it. What an amazing F2P strategy for unlocking newest toons in the game. Makes it easier because you also don't need to focus on events as much, such as those requiring you to spend power cores in order to hit certain milestones, etc.
been doing it on 45 shard unlock only, funny thing is i unlocked sasquach before guardian. keep up the good work on F2P
HONESTLY THIS IS THE WAY TO WIN IN THE GAME. ATTABOY, anytime you can budget man, you are winning this game, easy lol That's all it takes, discipline, commitment, and following an executing your plan

Hey Rayge...you knoooow i rock with you😊 i been doing this strategy for months and hit big doing this with Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider and i hit 100 shards! I usually open 2 to 3 orbs with this strategy. HERE IS MY ISSUE WITH THIS STRATEGY: i just this month made it to top 100 in arena. I t has been a struggle staying there, but i get 150 cores. Its hard getting to top 10. Also if you are using 100 cores daily for refreshes for gold orbs it's hard to build a surplus of cores. Could you explain or make a video for What strategy should be used for building your cores who are not in the top 10 of arena? Also maybe for newer players your strategy for moving up in arena. As always KEEP GRINDING 😊😊

When you are end game at level 100 this seems fine to help you unlock characters a few days early but I think it’s a bad strat until then. I think there is more value in using those cores on energy to get your account to level 100 and farm the training orbs, gold orbs, iso, etc. The value add by getting characters unlocked a few days early is pretty marginal. Although, you did pick the right team to start with because they have more value early than a lot of other teams.
Not unless you follow a strict budget gold spending per day my man. each and every day matters. For example, unlocking the toon with it's F2P and seeing another event shortly afterwards where you need them built (i.e. Spider Society and Cabal with Kyln, Pocket Dimension, etc.). Each and every day matters more than you think brother. I also would argue, if not for campaign energy, then what else? Power Cores is $$$ in this game, literally especially having access to exclusive toons. I unlocked Black Knight more than just a few days before his event, catapulted me to Top in Arena on the day of. Each and every day matters.
@@RaygeMSF but you would have unlocked all those toons eventually, it’s not like you NEEDED to spend power cores to unlock them. And you aren’t going to compete in Arena without Apoc, Skrull, etc. So, you need to get to those levels and build other toons FIRST before utilizing this strategy makes any sense. That’s why I am saying, it doesn’t make sense to do this before level 100. Before then hard focusing your cores to 50 core energy refreshes is better value for your $ then unlocking a character you are going to get anyway a few days early. I can appreciate there may be exceptions, like BK or maybe this Alpha team. But if you did this for Mercs, Knowhere, OOT other than BK then I would argue that was a waste of your cores. There are bigger priorities when you are early to mid game.
Ahhh apologies brother, and appreciate the discussion and dialogue. I misread and thought you were saying it's not a good strategy in general. I see what you're saying and agreed, really depends on where you are in the game. For those needing to level and progress, no it doesn't make sense to core as they likely wouldn't be in the competitive arena stages anyways. This strategy ultimately shine for end gamers

What else should I spend cores on then? Right now I'm spending 200 on energy and 100 for my alliance donation. I'm also top 250 in my arena
I assume you are only buying daily energy and Iso if there is an event? What about for an account that is not level 100 yet? Would you recommend this strategy or spending cores on extra energy and iso.
Buying as in using cores for additional energy? Nah I don't do that at all unless there is an event. The only time I wouldn't recommend it is if you are level 90 and below, because once you get to the level 90 grind without the account leveling boost, progression in levels isn't a priority. Very interesting! So by accelerating new character unlocks by spending cores, you have more time to prepare for future events? And those events require specific star levels or not? I'm a bit new to the game.
What im trying to understand is if using cores to buy characters will net you additional rewards, apart from the time saved😅 It is a bit confusing..
You'll be able to farm better nodes in the team events for longer, that always helps, and you give a boost to getting 4 stars on these new characters (whereas the milestone and orb shards might keep you at 3 stars)

Yeah I mean it's also just a guideline. If you want to Hoard cores just for characters newly released, that's a good strategy as well. No right or wrong, really dependent on your game goals
I personally spend 200 for campaign energy every day, and 200 more on ISO energy some days when I’m really low on it. I didn’t track it closely like him, but just take a glance that it didn’t drop significantly and I’m pretty much stay afloat & slowly creeping up. I’d say 200 for campaign energy is fine; the extra 200 is *maybe* fine.

I've been following your guides and stored up enough cores to unlock Northstar early (only 22 shards, bad rng). Guardian I got 50 shards from opening 5 orbs with cores, so he's almost unlocked because haven't opened any orbs from event yet. Will do the same for sasquach this week. It's been excellent advice. I turned level 89 today so that why I asked when I should slow down with the 50 core refreshes since I'm falling a little behind with leveling up my characters in line with my player level.
I am doing 3-5 obs of each character hoping it gets me 1 extra star level
Solid, all about pace and setting that budget goal and sticking with it!
How many orbs per new character do u open, roughly?
From the past 2-3 weeks for Alpha Flight, I've been budgeting cores not orbs or shards initially. However, if I get the unlock earlier I stop. Here were the results and what I did for each
a) Spent 5K cores of orbs Northstar
b) Spent 5K cores of orbs Guardian
c) Spent 3K cores of orbs Sasquatch as his 45 shard was much quicker and easier

how to beat the bugged xtreme xmen? without meta changer characters such apoc, dorm, logan etc.
That's a good question boss, I don't see this in my Arena at all. Have you tried mirror matching?
@@RaygeMSF unfortunately, yes. but my xtreme xmen are not well built so I don't get to see whether my ones produce the result bug as well.
