Man, my heart jumped when I saw that Silver Apples cover. I would have torn the place apart looking for the vinyl to go with it. And failing at that, I probably would have taken the cover home with me anyway. At least I could hang it on the wall!
I looked through all the loose records in that chest, couldn't find it. I didn't go as far as looking in all the record jackets to see if it was put in the wrong cover.
That Wes Lee Band 45, "Stage Door Queen" you passed by @1:56 is great - a 1976 hair or glam rock bar band sound about groupies! Recommended! Hard to find too!
These vintage/antique dealers are such scalpers. Fifteen years ago they completely ignored records, so hopefully those days will return, unlikely tho 😊. Btw never ignore a good sleeve, someone will want that Silver Apples sleeve. It's probably $50 on it's own. That ain't no contradiction (ie $$$ orientated), I know my rare and great stuff for some music loving time. I've sold sleeves to pay for my own addiction. Second stop better records, a little pricey on some tho. Good video.
@@RekkidTalkI wondered about that Judy Garland 78... Anything Wizard of Oz related. I looked at a classical collection a few years ago. It was a good collection for someone else to get at but I didn't see any rare or even medium rare ones. I bought their stereo for £100 and one record, The Wizard of Oz soundtrack LP (minty 60s reissue) for £10... Put the soundtrack in the window display and sold it in two or three days for £30. Oz kind of lives forever.
That Silver Apples sleeve was in good shape. You could probably sell the sleeve alone for ten bucks or so.... I heard they called back that pressing because Pan Am sued because they didn't get permission to sit in the cockpit, or use the pan am logo or something, and it sort of bankrupted the band. Anyway, I've never seen one of those in the wild. Most of what you saw I've never seen in the wild...
I did find some great lookin boots. That Morphine for $10, call that a steal. I got mine for free, just ad t pay shipping. Some country does that once in awhile, shipping is $9 but that is a good price for a sealed album
I like alot of Neil Young but never heard trans. Morphine is a grunge name and I can't quite recall them though I'd have definitely picked that up. It's interesting to see the different over familiar records there compared to here. Shame about the silver apples though 🙄
Morphine is from the 1990s but they have a very unique sound with the unusual combination of instruments (slide bass, baritone sax, drums). I'm on a Neil Young kick where I'm trying to pick up his records whenever I find them in decent shape.
Occasionally I see stuff undervalued in antique stores. You've got to catch it right after it's put out, though. The overpriced and the unwanted stays forever.
There's a ton of antique mall content on RUclips, so I would guess yes. Most of it isn't even about rekkids, but the other stuff in the stores. I think I saw the VC Inspector confiscating CDs and cassettes from a booth, but I didn't dare film it.
@@RekkidTalk Wow, good to know that VC Inspector is there. I am little worried that he would mess the Finnish Vinyl Community Award ceremony tomorrow. Try to keep him there. Play some punk from CDs to him. I am sure that would keep him busy for day or two.
@@RekkidTalk It's pretty good. Poor VC Inspector. He is fighting against punk in VC and now channels makes own punk records. Is he lost the battle? Or do he have something in his back pocket?
There’s Chris. I haven’t seen you in forever!!! Still crate digging. A Judy Garland 78?!? Wow. I’m scared you’ll get hit while filming! You made it today as you posted this vid! Chris lives to cratedig another day. Those records are overpriced!!!
Randomly came across this video. Cool to see your in my hometown #clarksvillian
I live about an hour away, so I'm not a true #clarksvillian

Some kid put the Silver Apples in a 1.oo chet Atkins cover and the world is a better place for it

Silver Apples ! I might as well get the repress from Jackpot Records, Chris.. Nice video.. Have a good Holiday ! 👍
@@jtsrecordroom3963 Yep, a near miss.
That Dave Edmunds record in the first bin is a good one. I'd have picked that up if it was in decent shape
I didn't look at it, but probably one of the better ones in that bin.

Pretty good prices compared to NY...
Some places are OK, some places have silly prices.

I should have put that $100 Judy Garland 78 someone else noticed in the Silver Apples sleeve, haha.

You should have got Klaatu. It's a prog/ space rock band that people thought were the Beatles! It's a killer hell of a disk!
I have to leave some good stuff behind for the next person!
Makes sense!@@RekkidTalk
That Judy Garland 78 is worth over $100
Oops. I don't know the 78 rpm era very well. Hopefully the right person finds this one.
You passed the Roger Glover solo LP's. I would have grabbed that quickly.
I left them just for you! 😃
Heck yeah I love a good pov crate digging video. Especially since tuco has gone MIA
I'm not as cool as TUCO, but I try.

Maybe, but I don't hang up rekkid covers.
I’m glad you got the Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Loved that iconic movie.
Congratulations Chris, you were past due for a score.
I've had a few good ones recently, some haven't been uploaded yet.

It's very rare to see Morphine anywhere besides a record store.
I wouldn't say "never" but more like "not often". At least that's my story.
It is the magical convergence of good records at reasonable price that can be tricky to find.
@@RekkidTalk
My main problem is it's so far to drive to any place worthwhile. Discogs and eBay are so close and don't cost me $50 in gas!

that Spirit album!

If there Are any good records in an antique shop they are certain to be overpriced.
Estate sales yield much more satisfying results more often.

Hi Chris. Some decent records in these booths I still don’t own tattoo you .. I have trans though . And enjoy it .. cheers Chris👍
But what do you do when you want to hear "Start Me Up"? 🤷♂️

looks like a pile of overpriced junk. I do better scoring 45s at the Goodwill for 50 cents.
Sometimes I find cheap 45s and I like that.
