These guys literally release a video every other day about how Russia is basically defeated and with just one more new weapon, Ukraine will take crimea. Truth is this war has become one of attrition with Ukraine having a net loss of territory so far this year. With western aid, Ukraine can somewhat match Russias firepower. However, western weapons can’t fix Ukraine’s most severe problem: manpower. Unfortunately, giving Bradley’s and F16s can’t magically spawn new Ukrainian recruits. That’s a hard factor to address, given the fact ukraines population is only 40 million vs Russias population of 150 million. Idk how Ukraine and the west can kick out Russia from all Ukrainian territory if they can’t get enough recruits.

In the US government concept of "separation of powers", Trump as President cannot make the decision alone to stop the war in Ukraine or not honor NATO commitments. The power to make war or end war is vested in the US Congress. So, when Pearl Harbor was attacked in 1941, FDR had to go to Congress to ask them to declare that a state of war had existed since the moment of the attack by Japan. And similarly, Harry Truman had to go to Congress to present the surrender statement of Japan as the end of the war before the surrender document was signed. These are Rights and Powers defined in the US Constitution which are RARELY amended because the amendment process is so difficult, and these are central tenets of the Constitution. Look to the US Congress with both Democrats and Republicans for the outcome of such a decision.
