Remove them because it's an embarrassment, but create an even worse embarrassment when throwing them in places to make worse slums. Cape flats are infinitely worse than district six. The money could have been used to maybe renovate the area with flats in that same area. The reasons for the removal was racism as the main agenda and removing these people from easy access to opportunities.
So instead of renovating the area, they decided to forcefully dump people in more slums...,just further away from the city cbd. How grateful people should be for that hey 🙄
