- Wilfredo Leon vs Yuki Ishikawa | Poland vs Japan | Men's VNL 2023. Wilfredo León Venero (born 31 July 1993) is a Cuban-Polish professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Cuba national team from 2007 to 2012, and is a current member of the Poland national team and Sir Safety Perugia. A silver medallist at the 2010 World Championship, and a two-time NORCECA Champion (2009, 2011).
Yūki Ishikawa (石川祐希, Ishikawa Yūki, born 11 December 1995) is a Japanese male professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
As of April 2021, Ishikawa is the captain of the Japan men's national volleyball team, and plays as an outside hitter. He currently plays in the Italian Volleyball League for Allianz Milano.

@@suisui8147 Then we are witnessing a cultural difference between the perception of cheering in Europe and in Asia. In Europe, every club and national team, if they are the host, will support their team and try to deconcetrate the opposing team at the serve. It's not a matter of disrespecting rivals - it's just the way the game is played in Europe. It's the same in football, in handball, in basketball ect.

Originally from Cuba but made his home in Poland when the national team in Cuba at the time didn't let nationals travel to other countries to play so he decided to bail and make his home elsewhere in this case, Poland.
He has polish wife, he lives here and he speaks polish, what more would you like? To change his skin colour?
Wilfredo is now more Polish than Cuban. His wife is Polish as are his children who were born in Poland. He has Polish citizenship now and had to wait for it. Actually, he could not play for the Polish team until he got the citizenship. He had to go through the process. But yes, his process was probably speeded up a bit considering who he is.
