- Finally... the dome is ready to be assembled! Here's time-lapse footage of the steel struts going up, along with a quick tour of the fire pit/hot tub area, and the sad reality of what a windstorm can do.

Great to see how this is a family adventure! All the small touches look great. Of course I watched the whole video for the RUclips algorithm.
Great kids! good job papa
Cool
great video
WOW .......That is perfect 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love this ❤
Hello that is amazing, I'm trying to build one myself and I'm wondering if you can share with me the framing pipe plans of that dome. I will be highly appreciate it thank you so much
Oh gees you all must have been devastated with each recover and then a 3rd time!! Poor buggers. I really felt awful for you.
These structures are surprisingly durable and wind/snow resistant, once you get them assembled. We had a major (unexpected) wind storm the night after we put the cover on... ripped our temporary tie downs apart. Planned to assemble the door and make things more secure the next day... Such is life. Hopefully it makes for better content!
Is it a Pacific Dome ?
That’s some perseverance. Keep up the vids! They help people like me😄
Whens episode 6 coming? Lol im obessed! Appreciate al the great content. It’s my wife and I’s dream to do something similar! Thanks
ukguga yes it is
Hi Blueridge Glamping. Great videos. The wife and I are current glamping hosts in Michigan looking to install a 24ft Dome for STR to extend our season. The videos are very helpful to help us decide which type of foundation build to use. Our bottom of foundation is 42” for frost so the pier method with wood framed deck is also what I was leaning towards. Our business model and vision for glamping setup is also very very similar to yours. Our challenge is of course the cold and keeping the dome comfortable and preventing water lines from freezing. Being in NC I’m sure you have to some similar winterizing and insulating. Wondering what you have done or planning on doing? Thanks for any information! Keep up the good work.
Great content! 🤙🏾. Wondering if y'all ever found out the actual step that was missed which caused the cover to fly off?
Very interesting story (all 5 videos)!! I started to study straw homes, then containers and finally dome homes that I love and I hope to build one in a beautiful montain place in Aosta Valley (Italy). Very compliments for your project and to share it with your family. A little question: what's the name of the clarinet song? Thanks and we all wait other videos
Great work, I am so grateful for this information. I am wondering if you have any bears in the area. Would that be a problem? Looking to build a bear proof structure.
😘❤️👍
How’s the plastic off gassing?
Where do I buy a dome
Hey man great channel, and Thanks for the awesome content!
Also if you could include the topic of the video in the titles plzzz!
We are looking into doing domes on another piece of land. How do you keep them from blowing like that when guests would stay?
Was wondering about the bears also. About how much was it to get electric and sewage out if you don't mind sharing?
How long did it take you to put up the framing and fabric?
Hey there! We got the cover onto our dome but are having a hard time getting it to fit snuggly. It’s about two inches high all the way around, which makes it hard to screw the cover to the wood platform through the grommets. Since it’s not tight, we’re also getting water pooling on the roof. Any suggestions are appreciated!
Hi Hannah, yes, this can be a tough one... other than good old brute strength, we have used a combination of small ropes tied through successive grommet holes, and a tool called a sheet metal hand seamer (grips the fabric) to pull down on the cover from the outside. Pick a spot, then work your way around slowly and the slack should start to come out. Good luck!
As opposed to Wench : A young woman what brings me beer to cry in after Life's little pranks.
Yikes not fun! Glad to see the kidos helping out!
Was the expense of making the glamming dome worth the cost? Like going through making it legal?
Look up the abnb listing. It rents at a premium and they are almost 100 booked. It could cost 80000 and still be a better roi than most other avenues
What is the name of the fabric?
COST?????
Oh no!!! How awful 😫 Still hilarious in the face of disaster 👌🏻🤣
Would you like to joint venture? I have 10 acres with a house already. 30 miles from Seqouia National Park, 30 miles from Kingscanyon National Park and 1.5hr from Yosemite National Park.
Thanks for reaching out! We did our first joint venture earlier this year and has gone really well, My sense is that you would be more successful partnering with someone closer to you (for example, my GC license doesn't transfer to CA) but I'm happy to chat with you about your project. Maybe I can be an advisor? See links in description. Thanks!
When's the next episode?! :)
