- Day 2 of Universal Studios Orlando and we are in Islands of Adventure today! Personally, I think I like this theme park more than the other one but... as the day goes on, more and more things continue to go downhill. Between height restrictions, weather disruptions, and others unplanned events, this day definitely did NOT go as planned. Huge shout out to some nice employees that saved the day for my little Landen!

The weather in Florida really does depend what time of year you go, you have gone most hot and humid months of the year where the storms are guaranteed every single day. I’m from the U.K. and a lot of us do visit Orlando however it’s very rare we will go in the summer we will usually go spring between March and may or then between September to November, when you go to Disney world I highly recommend in spring or fall instead and there’s far less storms (I.e they are not usually every single day)
As a floridian, I agree!! But I would also suggest feb March or November, much less likely to run into daily storms!
THIS! Jess mentioned coming to Disneyworld in September I believe and I want to shake her bc thats peak hurricane season😂 I always plan my trips for winter or early spring.
I live in Alabama. I’ve been to Orlando about 3 times. We are going back to DisneyWorld spring break.
I was going to suggest this! Definitely come in the ‘winter’ months😊 It will also be much cooler out and way more enjoyable!

Lillia missed out on Hagrid’s! It is the best ride in all of the Orlando parks in my opinion. Even my 6 year old daughter has ridden that one multiple times and it’s her favorite!!

Unexpected is legit the best way to describe that ride! Loved every second of it!
My parents always told me..."there are things in life that you want to do but can't" and they always said "there are things in life that you don't want to do that you have to do." Makes you stronger in life. Makes you handle things better when something really devastating happens in life. My dad would say, "your to short, lets go" and that would be the end of that.

Nothing makes me happier than Jess’s videos! Honestly I really struggle with my mental health but I can hand on Heart day that no matter how bad I feel, just watching her videos takes me back to a happy place & for a person I do not know to be able to do that is just incredible! I felt so bad that Landen couldn’t do his favourite ride but it was so nice that the park did what they did for him. It’ll be worth the wait.

This is why you never go to Florida in the summer for theme parks. Rainy season is no joke. Go in the winter, so much better

Yeah we went to Disney world last week and Universal studios also and all week I was at Disney world it Rained so half the coasters where closed we normally go around May
I just got back from Disney world and as long as you KNOW it’s rainy seasons and expect it to rain at least a little every day then you’re fine. It only rained a few times.. but it didn’t shock me when rides would close for lightning. It’s all about safety
Idea: you could frame the poster and put it 51 inches up the wall so its the height that landon needs to be to ride it so he can see everyday how close he is!

The express pass is key! I know it can be expensive but, if you book one of the 3 top tier hotels ( Portofino Bay,Hardrock and Royal Pacific) you get the express pass for free!!! Easily way less expensive then buying them for each member of your party!!!!
Hagrids ride was the BEST ride I’ve ever been on! I’m so happy you guys loved it. I just went for the first time the end of June and we had a great time. Universal definitely had longer lines than Disney at the time, but we had a blast
I have always wanted to go to universal and I'm a slytherin. I feel so bad for him at least he won't get hurt.

I have lived here in Florida all my life and im an Disney AP holder and the worst times to go to Disney and Universals is the summer because your in the middle of hurricane season and everyone and their friends are here that make the parks super packed.

I know how Landon feels I was not tall enough for the big rides when I was growing up but that was so nice of them to do that
Honestly, as someone who has ridden those rides and also has a son who turns 7 in a couple week and is over 51”, I still wouldn’t let him ride. Those coasters are really intense. I’d wait until he’s closer to 10. The forces are no joke on them. Many adults come off them disoriented. I’m also a coaster enthusiast and I’ve seen the rides they’ve ridden in your video and they do not even come close to the level Hulk and Velocicoaster are.

Just a fair warning I’ve personally experienced it and it happens quite often at night the hagrids ride is known to start breaking down. We were completely stopped because the ride had broken down but the people who got on behind us ride did not stop so we were so close to crashing. It was so scary even for all of the adults that got on with us.

My heart just broke for Landen. That’s such a hard thing to accept. You not only feel left out but you know you’re missing out as well. Everyone else can do something but you can’t and he can’t control how fast he grows or how tall he is. It’s so unfair!!

Come to Florida in December to May and the rain chance is pretty much zero since that’s Florida’s dry season.

I’ve been to Disney 6 times and I still missed things. It’s so crazy how big the park is! We live like 2 hours away from it so we go like every other year.

I would definitely go at a different time of year ! Me and my family always go during fall-ish season. It's still warm enough to not need jackets (maybe a light one) and there are almost no storms!

We went to this theme park in December. It was awesome; 80s every day and no rain. Plan for winter to go back some year!
When I heard you were you going to Florida in the summer I questioned it... June through September... hurricane season makes it really tough.
