  • With an inclusive and transparent process, Schmidt Associates collaborated with the Indianapolis Public Library leadership team, HBM Architects, Engaging Solutions, JQOL, Greg Fehribach, and Powers and Sons on a facility assessment study to develop a comprehensive plan for facility improvements over the next 20 years. This plan shows the path to comprehensively update library facilities to improve the patron experience as well as library programming and services. For seven months, we collected and analyzed data and developed detailed recommendations based on the assessment, library utilization information, as well as board, staff, and patron surveys and interviews. The result is a $470M, 17-year roadmap that equates to an average projected spend of $27.7M per year. As a firm committed to improving communities, Schmidt Associates is proud of this project and looks forward to continuing our work with this outstanding client. Watch Principal-in-Charge / Project Manager Lisa Gomperts present the plan.
