My first 20lb carp was caught in a thunderstorm like that over 20 years ago I remember holding the rod pretty much under the water while I was playing the fish watching lightning strikes hit around me it definitely got the heart racing, great video and what a lovely venue 👌🏻

Its an Osprey . Probably a youngster just starting its migration to Africa for the 1st time ! They will top up their food stocks regularly on the long trip south ! Great bird and amazing spot !
osprey, i was lucky enough to see exactly same thing at a small water i was fishing on se coast it caught a bream and flew into a nearby tree to eat it, amazing sight

That lightning storm was epic, but yeah I always have my storm checker on so if I get notifications for super close strikes, not that you can’t hear it coming but yeah I reel in, and go sit in the car most of the time as my cars usually parked behind me. But that’s due to being at a lake in 2016 and a tree the other side getting hit by fork lightning and the tree just missing a guys bivvy as it slammed to the floor…..so yeah no thanks! But great video curly, really enjoy your content! 😊
Very surprised you never got kicked off the complex fishing over the reads..they only all9w you to fish off your swim i know a few people that have been kicked off for doing the same and still had 48hrs t9 go which they payed for

those shots of the frogs were great they are green frogs a rare kind only found dwon south and in europe

Yes, that's the first time I've seen a close up of those frogs... They have kept me awake at Elphicks many times 😠 😄
@sifishes they got noisy both evenings but not for long. We had 100s if not 1000s of them on a fishing trip to Belgium a few years ago. SO loud!
