Lol this helped me so much I am learning how to wash my clothes and my mom got this downy ball to help me but she got rid of the instructions and she was not here to help me so this helped a lot ty❤😅
We have one of these my parents use Downey (I can’t I’m allergic) but I use Suavitel in it. It’s pretty handy to have we use it every wash. Our old washer used to have a dispenser built in but we lost that in a house fire. (A front load nice one by Samsung). I miss it anyways it is neat to have.
Thank you for solving my fabric softener problem that surfaced with my new washer. I gave both GE and the appliance store an earful about the inability to add fabric softener to the wash. Next purchase I'll know to ask even the most mundane of questions.
Wow just when im looking to find a replacement part for my washer machine there is like 20 different serial numbers, nd different size parts! But this is a great option for someone whos washer is broken or never had one to start with!
Thanks for this video. I tried to use the Downy ball before I watched your video and I didn't sense it was snapping closed. So I watched your video and it looks like you pull it up until the edge extends above the hole. I checked in the wash cycle and the ball had already opened up. So I filled it up again and I pulled it through as you demonstrated and this time it worked. I don't think the instructions on the ball are complete enough in explaining that. Maybe they want to sell more fabric softener that way. LOL. Update: After the wash finished I checked the Downy ball. It opened, but it appeared to still have about 1/3 of the fabric softener in the ball. Is that normal? Do you have any suggestions?
@@DIYPinto I just did it. If you want to return the favor that would be nice. You have about 68,900 more subscribers than I do. Way to go! Is that enough subscribers that you can live off RUclips or do you still need a day job?
So, I add the fabric softener bulb to the laundry at the same time I add my Tide pod? I've read in other places to add the fabric softener in the rinse cycle. This way sure is easier!
I tried a downy ball for the first time today and I followed all of the instructions and did everything the way you did in the video but, the fabric softener didn't dispense in the wash. There was still fabric softener left in the ball after the load was done washing. I thought I did something wrong. Maybe just a defective ball. You have any tips for me? Thanks for the video.

put the ball in first. or try adding a little water
It may be your washing machine. On my machine there is a knob that has to be turned to yes that fabric softener is being used.
@@suzyqb7709 you use downy ball?
@@suzyqb7709 I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. AFTER THE CLOTHES ARE DONE, THE BALL PLUNGER IS POPPED BUT THE FABRIC SOFTNER IS STILL IN THE BALL
Can you subscribe to my channel? I will really appreciate it!

@@kbotah2023 good to know
@bowhunter0762 I'm not sure.
My downy ball has build up inside, how can i clean it?
@dguevara2017 did you try vinegar water solution?
How many times can the ball be reused?
I'm guessing until it breaks or stops working.
@briancostanza411 a lot! i havent' had it break down on me
I used kinda a lot and my clothes only smell like detergent nothing like Downey ugh
@916nene a lot of people do
Why doesn’t it always open
@lindawhite3676 I'm not sure.
These things are no good. I bought one today and it broke on the first use. I was pulling up on the ring to close it and the ring snapped off.
@Super_Gotenks sorry to hear that.
my ball anit working. had to make sure I was completing the right steps
@russiansniper98 why not
Has anyone else had staining when using ball? 😭
So annoying all the time. It does not always open and when it does, it stains
can anyone help-out with this question?
Add some white vinegar with your solution or just white vinegar by itself!
Dilute with water till halfway full
@jackrodriguez2887 good tip
Why does this guy kind of sound like John Cena
@lukemcdonald8818 too funny! lol.
Looks like to me in the comments it's NOT WORTH.IT.
