This performance doesn't really appeal to me at all. The soloist is sometimes very sloppy and in the last part there is no real chemistry between orchestra and soloist. Different tempi etc..
Schnittke strikes me as a composer who didn't give a sh*t about anything - is this really enjoyable? No, it isn't, and I'm happy to call him out for being a nonsense composer.

I'm sorry, but that's just ignorant. Schnittke's music is intensely emotional. This piece and the viola concerto are fabulous.
