I am driving Nios Sportz automatic since last 6 months and drove more than 6000 KM. Value for money car , great driving experience especially in city . This is my first car and I am completely happy with it.
As a owner of i10 grand nios I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. It has good quality speakers and awesome AVN system and also value for money package.
I have been driving a NIOS sportz AMT petrol since past 4 months. I chose it over the swift because of many reasons. 1) black interiors and smaller rear windows felt claustrophobic in the swift for rear passengers. NIOS felt a lot spacious. 2) Better interior build quality. overall build feels a lot more sturdier than a swift. 3) more features in NIOS than swift at any price point. More value for money. 4) stiffer ride on swift while NIOS has a softer suspension. 5) AMT is a lot refined on NIOS as you hardly feel any headnods whereas in swift its very evident. The only advantage swift has imho is that its engine is a bit more responsive than hyundai's petrol version. Better for enthusiast driving.
@@narensir5593 On the highway max i have seen is 21kmpl..but that is rare..average should be around 19. in heavy city traffic you will get about 11-12kmpl.

My family has been faithful to Maruti for more that two decades; stated with 800 then to Esteem and later to Swift. With Hyundai in the market the experience is much better, yes have to sacrifice on the mileage part - the cars are amazing....
For me its always Swift many reasons for that Service network, reliable, very low cost of maintenance, availability of parts, price of spare parts is low, fun to drive and last but not least brand value of Maruti Suzuki. My experience with Maruti Suzuki is phenomenal I own Swift Dzire VDI (2008) I still have it with me almost 12 years 2,00,300/- Kms still going smooth very happy customer so that's why my pick Maruti Suzuki Swift.
In Sri Lanka we get the japanese swift with the 1.0 booster jet engine ,6 speed auto , 4 wheel discs and much safety kit incl. Radar Cruise. It's much nicer than any other rival model, especially hyundai.
Swift's Steering doesn't come to centre after a U-turn... This is what I observed from my test drive. No Reviewer has mentioned this.. GREAT JOB and I appreciate it...
After 9 months of ownership of my Gi10 nios .. i feel proud bcz of build quality and premium cabin .. 9 outa 10 for outer build quality cuz i had a minor accdent with scooty in which i appriciated hyundai's quality .. love u hyundai💕💕

as an owner of the swift for 5 years and now a owner of grand i10 nios I have to agree, all the points are covered in the comparison. The i10 nios has some drawbacks the rear view mirror is not auto dim which is a huge disadvantage in night , the steering weight is very less at high speeds which scares you on the highway, the infotainment system hangs and keeps disconnecting. I would still say better to go with the swift if you can compromise on the weak body.
Even though many Indians prefer mileage over performance, Hyundai has provided an option for the enthusiasts with a 1.0 ltr turbo petrol engine even in i10 Nios. I wonder why that engine hasn't been used in this comparo? 1.2 ltr kappa engine is little inferior to what's present in the Swift, but why not test the turbo in this comparo?
I'm a Swift 2018 owner and honestly the steering in this car a problem. The returnabillity issue is very irritating and risky, this wasn't the case when the car was new though. Infact no other swift review mentioned this either.
I prefer nios turbo petrol 🔥 which will smoke swift petrol easily and nios is made of high strength shell it is also safe , spacious cabin and feature loaded for less price 😃. Reasons to buy swift is for large driver seat , falt bottom steering , sport speedo meter . Nios 🤘
Other reasons are easy availability of parts, less maintenance cost, brand value, better resale value, higher mileage, higher pickup at low end, better road presence.. the only two points where hyundai shines is comparatively good build quality (still not like Tata, ford, vw, skoda, Toyota cars), good interior. Now you decide which is better ✌🏼🤞🏼
People go for Maruti Suzuki for resale value then why buy a car when u want to sell it so quickly I'm driving nios for past 1 year it's really nice car, premium interiors nice built quality reasonable price( 7lac 50 th. for sportz in Oct 1 19) mileage is also nice
I'm sorry but this is a no contest, and I am not even a supporter of hyundai Nios with the 1.0 turbo petrol has now completely killed the swift. It will leave it in the dust. So now, nios is better built, faster, way more feature loaded and has better interiors, and has Hyundai's extensive service network to support it.
Wow! what impressed me more than nios and swift is the crispy sound of the narrator. I love how he explain the whole things in a rather husky and sexy voice. Good delivery without bias... Also in love with both the car too.

Interiors and plastic quality -> Nios. Everything else, Swift. It is just better in every other way. Nios still feels like a small car to drive whereas Swift feels more mature and almost a next segment car while driving.
Definetly the Nios. It has better safety, a tad extra features etc.. I don't want a tin can.. But if I had a little bit more cash, I would buy the Elite i20. It is the best premium hatchback i feel...

Nios is lazy in higher gears as compared to Swift which is a enthusiastic car. But if you compare acceleration to 100. There is around 0.4 secs difference. Which is not a deal breaker.

I've booked my Nios Asta Manual variant and waiting for it's delivery. In Swift you literally get nothing and is expensive as well. Nios interior gives you a premium feeling the moment you sit inside. Me and my brother went to Maruti, Tata and Hyundai showrooms. Maruti didn't have a demo car for testing!! Tiago & Altroz has power lag, which we both didn't like. Then we went for Nios and the moment my brother sat inside it, he said "The interior is so great". Everyone was saying to go for Sportz but I insisted on Asta and eventually booked it. The showroom staff were insisting on getting Sportz as they had it in stock but I wanted Aqua Teal Asta variant which they told us will take 45 days! We had some arguments but I had made up my mind on Asta. Long story short, forget the crash tests (yes I do mean it), videos, and all the marketing gimmicks. We won't be driving these on a race track guys and certainly most of us can't tell if it misses some punch or not, lol. Just test drive and analyse what features you need and your new car is not your first car then don't buy a Maruti Suzuki.
The old Swift cars and Grand i10's had some muscular and cool looks. I enjoyed every ride with my Swift RS. Now all cars are coming up with different looks (Japanese or Korean style is what I feel) which makes the car look so simple and somewhat a bit dull.
No doubts about as I prefer safety more then anything i would prefer which is obvious if talk about safe in both is i10 grand nios and i think everyone ill also agree with me
Maruthi is excellent for Indian roades no match with there cost effective spare parts maintaince cost.. also coming to swift.. no honda nor tata .. can beat the popularity ..
You will regret when you take your car on highway, it has sluggish engine three cylinder with vibrations and lazy response. It is comparatively on heavier side so not a fun to drive car

Real Indian will buy Swift. I own Swift for past 15 months. I took this car from Chennai to Bangalore, next day from Bangalore to Ooty. Then back to Bangalore from Ooty and Bangalore to Chennai. Travelled more than 1050 KMs after its 1st service. The trip was really good enjoyed well.
Swift is the king on highway. No other car in this segment can catch a Swift on road because of its power delivery. The acceleration,pickup match delivers that no other car in this segment can offer.
Here in the comments everyone is saying NIOS Nios Nios... But the last 6 months Automotive industry Sale gave us completely different story.... Swift topping the charts in 1to3 ranks always... Where as Nios is not even in ToP 10
Ecosport and Creta are both from different segments. Creta competes with Seltos, Harrier, Duster. Whereas Ecosport competes with Brezza, Venue, Nexon. Ecosport is a compact SUV(A sub 4 metre one) while Creta is from an upper segment

Nios anytime better than overrated Swift...compare nios with Figo..swift can't match nios standard.. Ignis is lot better than swift. Ignis is highly underrated car of Maruti.
I have always been a fan of the Suzuki Swift, I love the way it handles and the fact that it is a fun car to drive, I even own the previous version and soo far in all the cars i've driven the Swift gives me more driving satisfaction and its really economical. The Nios looks to be a more comfortable car to be in. The interior looks airy and less claustrophobic than the Swift. Never really driven a Nios before But I have driven the Grand i10, its also the newest addition in our family and belongs to my mum. Back to back I still prefer the more engaged driving of the Swift, however I'm not saying that the Grand i10 or the Nios driving feedback is bad, they have come a long way in the way they make cars afterall, however I cannot fault comfort in the Grand i10. Both cars excel in their respective areas so both cars gets my vote.

Only 1 thing i didnt like about the Grand i10 nios and that is front integrated headrest.. they should have given adjustable.

Yes Swift is still a fun to drive car.
But my pick would be nios as an overall pick.
Nios is lazy in higher gears as compared to Swift which is a enthusiastic car.
But if you compare acceleration to 100.
There is around 0.4 secs difference. Which is not a deal breaker.

New Hyundai i10 grand nios is best in segment because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highways. Value for money package.

If yor are looking a hatch back which haves a better ground clearance go for nios because nios lies in a tallboy model
I've booked my Nios Asta Manual variant and waiting for it's delivery.
In Swift you literally get nothing and is expensive as well. Nios interior gives you a premium feeling the moment you sit inside. Me and my brother went to Maruti, Tata and Hyundai showrooms.
Maruti didn't have a demo car for testing!!
Tiago & Altroz has power lag, which we both didn't like.
Then we went for Nios and the moment my brother sat inside it, he said "The interior is so great".
Everyone was saying to go for Sportz but I insisted on Asta and eventually booked it. The showroom staff were insisting on getting Sportz as they had it in stock but I wanted Aqua Teal Asta variant which they told us will take 45 days! We had some arguments but I had made up my mind on Asta.
Long story short, forget the crash tests (yes I do mean it), videos, and all the marketing gimmicks. We won't be driving these on a race track guys and certainly most of us can't tell if it misses some punch or not, lol.
Just test drive and analyse what features you need and your new car is not your first car then don't buy a Maruti Suzuki.

The old Swift cars and Grand i10's had some muscular and cool looks. I enjoyed every ride with my Swift RS.
Now all cars are coming up with different looks (Japanese or Korean style is what I feel) which makes the car look so simple and somewhat a bit dull.
No doubts about as I prefer safety more then anything i would prefer which is obvious if talk about safe in both is i10 grand nios and i think everyone ill also agree with me
I would prefer Nios as it has really a cool design and premium interior. Also I would never by a Tin Can.

Maruthi is excellent for Indian roades no match with there cost effective spare parts maintaince cost.. also coming to swift.. no honda nor tata .. can beat the popularity ..

You will regret when you take your car on highway, it has sluggish engine three cylinder with vibrations and lazy response. It is comparatively on heavier side so not a fun to drive car

Real Indian will buy Swift. I own Swift for past 15 months. I took this car from Chennai to Bangalore, next day from Bangalore to Ooty. Then back to Bangalore from Ooty and Bangalore to Chennai. Travelled more than 1050 KMs after its 1st service. The trip was really good enjoyed well.

No other car in this segment can catch a Swift on road because of its power delivery.
The acceleration,pickup match delivers that no other car in this segment can offer.
Autocar India pls check how long Hyundai engines last. We can find old Altos and 800s running without any problem however not santros eons i10s.
But Hyundai engines are more reliable than Tata engine.

Nios anytime better than overrated Swift...compare nios with Figo..swift can't match nios standard.. Ignis is lot better than swift. Ignis is highly underrated car of Maruti.

I have always been a fan of the Suzuki Swift, I love the way it handles and the fact that it is a fun car to drive, I even own the previous version and soo far in all the cars i've driven the Swift gives me more driving satisfaction and its really economical. The Nios looks to be a more comfortable car to be in. The interior looks airy and less claustrophobic than the Swift. Never really driven a Nios before But I have driven the Grand i10, its also the newest addition in our family and belongs to my mum. Back to back I still prefer the more engaged driving of the Swift, however I'm not saying that the Grand i10 or the Nios driving feedback is bad, they have come a long way in the way they make cars afterall, however I cannot fault comfort in the Grand i10. Both cars excel in their respective areas so both cars gets my vote.
Nios is better because hyundai now offer 1.0 l turbo engine for 3rd gen but swift is same as that 1.2 vvt technology😁 and looks like a minicooper
1.0 engine makes nios a pocket rocket.
