Very nice workmanship! Loved the cute details of wood clasp and sun motif. Your love for your daughter shows in that. Your daughter is so darn cute!!! Adorable expression. That's a nice age before they get all sassy on you. She's learning a lot watching you, very good! I needed this video. I am building some desks for my RV, very narrow like this one. Gave me some inspiration, thank you! Please wear safety glasses when you work.
Just right size for her! So cute! Saves a lot of floor space, and folds away when not in use, perfect design. Nice work on eliminating the chains to hold it up. Please don't add music to any DIY videos. It hurts the ears. Natural sounds are best.
I WAS LOOKING FOR A FOLDING TABLE AND ITS TABLE IS IDEAL ALSO IT BROUGHT ME THE REMEMBER THAT MY FATHER, WHEN LITTLE PEOPLE, USED A SIMILAR TO DO HOMEWORK AT THE SCHOOL THANKS
We kept finding we needed a folding table. This is so easy to store. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxStL0QRChBju4aQlnTrRgBZvafFog0KU3 Opening and closing is easy as well. It has a great handle for carrying around the house. Its pretty lightweight and slides around easy. We bought it for our daughter’s first sleepover. Breakfast was a blur - but 12 7-8 year olds fit at the table with room to spare. We used it at thanksgiving and 6 adults fit comfortably on each side plus 2 on either end for a total of 8. Super easy to clean up afterwards as well.
I bought this for my friend for his birthday as we just moved into a new house and he finally has room for a workshop. The bench was very easy to set up ruclips.net/user/postUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh They center support is a little difficult to snap in and out of place at first but at least then we know the bench is secure. It was a pleasant surprise when we saw it came with clamps. I apparently missed that in the description. My friend loves the versatility of the bench. Great starter bench for his workshop and easily transportable all over our property. I wish the bench was a little taller but the other features of the bench more than make up for that.
How you added the support for the foldable table is very elegant, way more elegant than i have seen in other versions of foldable tables. Question: how stable is it really? Good enough that an adult can lean on it (not with their full weight, I'm talking the typical weight desk work would create). Thanks
hey, great project, I'm trying to make a similar project and what I was looking for was how to add some hinge supports on either side of the fold-out panel.. to give a little more support when you write on the surface and I think this project would also need it too. I don't know if I'm explaining it well, I think it's called a "butler's drawer"? with kind of round groove metal hinge-supports on either side of the writing surface.. but anyway, nice work!
This is great. I would love to have one of these too. If you live in the Chicago area, I would totally buy one from you. I would probably like to add a mirror to the cover and keep everything else the same. Nice work.
Very cool build and concept. Beware brad nailing at eye level that close without eye protection and with fingers in path of the nail- blowout is a bitch and just a matter of time (speaking from first hand experience and as a medical practitioner who has treated hundreds of people for those types of injury including many who had to have knuckles fused because the nail hit the joint and destroyed the joint surfaces). Like the build and hope you stay injury free so you can keep building with your daughter.
I need to know what hinges you used ASAP for school project thats due, please I'm doing similar design however there are 2 larger bases of the desk, so i need to know where to get or what hinges to use so that it opens up 90 degrees from the wall, please reply asap, ty.
The long hinge I believe is a piano hinge and in an earlier reply he puts the dimensions at 80×30 cm with a 10 cm depth. I only know as am planning to build one for my son and this seems the best and easiest method
Love the side braces when the desk is opened.

Lucky little girl has a handy daddy willing and able to make something like that for her.
Kind words, thank you :)
Terri Krikie
My dad's handy too hehe
Great job! Nice to have because tho I can build many things as a Mom, I do much better with video than directions on paper. Thank you!

doing a good job
That was nice. I must make one. Great job.
Wow your tools is and also work

No I would not do that for an adult. You could add swing out metal legs that tuck sideways under the desk and lock into place - 90 degree angle.
really nice work .......... good....... hats-off to the maker
I am trying to make folding table like that.
Cool little project. It turned out nice. I just subscribed.
Thank you :)

good idea, good job
Nice job
Muy buen trabajo, por que es del corazón, bendiciones
Excellent work
Looks nice. The only concern I would have is leaning on the desk or any heavy weight it will eventually give in or start to sag.
A great dad !
Thanks 👍
Excellent Work....👍👌
nicely made man
+Russell Myers
Thank you 👍
your welcome
This is great. I would love to have one of these too. If you live in the Chicago area, I would totally buy one from you. I would probably like to add a mirror to the cover and keep everything else the same. Nice work.
Thank you, and my daughter agree with you about the mirror :)

That's an amazing idea
Good job
Go ahead 👌
That's a really cool desk though I wish you had shown or said the dimensions for the boards.
As always, I LOVE your DIYs girl! So inspiring, thank you! 4:48
I’m not sure if you’ll see this or not, but the two curved wooden pieces at the bottom of the desk are they needed for the extra support?
Yes 👍
Thank you!
Thanks
Great work, Sir! What size nail gun is that?
Pretty smile on a pretty young lady!
Awesome desk. Just what I am looking for my home-schooled kids. Do you make them for sale?
+Alexandra Daudert Thank you :) Sorry, I do not make them for sale. But it is super easy to make - give it a try 👍
Thank you :) It's a beautiful desk
Nice work sir.
Thank you very informative! I'm going to apply this technique to other things. 3:17
Does it sturdy enough to put my computer in it?

simply Awesome! Thanks.

I believe those were piano hinges.
+Astret Vitija Those long hinges are called PIANO HINGES. They run the full length of the desk. Strong support. There are many other ways.
can you please share the dimensions/measurements of each wood used? and what is that long hinge-thing called? i'm going to try to build one
Thanks
The long hinge I believe is a piano hinge and in an earlier reply he puts the dimensions at 80×30 cm with a 10 cm depth. I only know as am planning to build one for my son and this seems the best and easiest method
Hello , nice job , i have a proposition to add a small hand on the back of the table .
Would it be possible to use a hook and eye insted of the pin?
+Emma Nekaf I am not sure I understand. English is not my native language :) What pin do you mean?
+Life X4 (Lifex4) I was reffering to the little heart and dowel rod that was used for keeping the desk folded.
+Emma Nekaf Ah ok :) Yes, you can use that 👍
how can you stick the desk in the wall ?
+felix I just used 4 screws. Nothing fancy or special :)
In the wall? Cut a hole in the wall. On the wall, use screws through the back into studs.
awesome man
+scott mclean Thank you 👍
Thanks for this idea
@5:57 what is tha machine called?
+Mazin Jameel It is a belt sander
