Such a nice memories sir, my dad became happy after seeing this train trip blogs, dad used to travel to Delhi as a part of Indian Airforce as he was serving, posted during 1994-1998, always used to travel only in TN express, myself travelled by TN express to MAS in 2017, such a nice and thrilling experience.. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇
Thanks for bringing back those memories.. Used to travel between Delhi and Madras in Summer vacation when I was a kid.. Travelled between 1987 to 1996 in both TNE and GTE.. Mostly TNE because it was much cleaner that the GTE and TNE was little faster than the GTE.. Would have travelled atleast 12 to 13 round ways (To and Fro).. And Always travelled in 3 Class 3 tier Reserved.. Those food, those chai, the hot water in the shower, Jumping around the upper berths, visiting pantry to eat breads, Listening to those Track sounds, Wondering why far away trees move along with us, fear while speeding through long bridges, counting the electric poles and much more.. The most worst past which was mixed with excitement was waiting at the New Delhi Rly station from morning to night.. Because we board the Doon Express from Dehradun at previous night, which arrives at New Delhi next day morning.. Then have to wait whole day at Delhi with all those luggage at the cloak room watching all those tracks and Trains pass by until night 9 when the TNE or GTE arrives... The other furistic part was - When the Bhopal Station arrives we shut the windows.. After 1997 (final travel from Delhi being in flight), I could never travel to Delhi or such long distance. Thought Travelled to short distances like Coimbatore, Trichy and Bangalore recently, none of these had that excitement which I had in TNE or GTE.. Planning to travel in TNE soon.. Thats my dream... Thanks for the Video sir. ❤
Wow, the nostalgia really hit hard. I mean look the diversity of locos and rakes back then, unlike now where every single train has a WAP7 with the same LHB Rajdhani livery rakes. The sheer rate of disappearance of the grand-daddies like WAM4s and WAP1s is astounding today. Even WAP4s are becoming hard to spot. Meanwhile in your video, TN getting a P4 feels like the train commands respect throughout its journey. And at least that hasn't changed even today. Thanks for uploading!
Thanks for your feedback. The one thing that I have always enjoyed in IR is the sheer diversity that you have mentioned. Just imagine how it would have been in the 70s and 80s. Many trains with unique liveries. A huge MG network with its own set of trains. And many classes of locos. Slowly but surely, IR is moving towards standardization, I am afraid.

Still some express trains are running in diesel and look that this train have wap 4 on 2000's. This shows how legendary the Tamil Nadu express is..🔥🔥 Purely enjoyed at 40:00 😍😍

During late 1990s and early 2000s, Jnaneshwari had WAP1 and Karnavati had Wcam 2/2p when many Rajdhani and Shatabdi started getting WAP 5/7.
Post 2001, just in order to maintain the locomotives of trains like Howrah Rajdhani and Jnaneshwari Superdelux, many trains from Howrah like Mumbai Mail and Ahmedabad-Howrah express started getting WAP1 locomotives.

Beautiful Compilation Sir!! 22 coach Kerala SF, BRC WAM-4 with JP MAS, and that WAP-4 hauled 'Teaser' (hahaha); all were amazing! That Kazipet Town skip through mainline was a treat to watch; else nowadays one has to be lucky to get that, most of the time some or the other freight is parked on mainline; which brings me to the Mandamari skip; call me sadistic if you want; but i am glad this looping treatment is not a recent thing 🤣🤣 Manikgarh Pass 20 coaches, but the NGP KZJ Pass just 7, interesting; also that Wardha BPQ Pass, in present day, i think same train carries the slip coaches of Sewagram express!
