How the hell do you play with this on a snare? Snare drum would just be tapping and stuff (idk percussion much, I'm a brass player). I don't think you could've played this on a snare drum and have it sound this way, instead of random beats and tapping. :/
watching someone perform flight of the bumblebee on any instrument is always amazing (if they're not faking it), but I've never seen it done on percussion before. That was great. Five stars.
@homedogword1 Percussion uses both treble & bass clef, depending on the instrument... Xylophone, glockenspiel, & usually vibraphone use treble clef, marimba uses a combination of treble & bass, timpani uses bass. Other un-tuned percussion, e.g. various drums, & auxiliary - triangle, tambourine, etc., uses the drum/percussion clef (2 vertical lines spanning between the 2nd & 4th lines of the stave); in this case, each line or space represents a different instrument.
+Twee Widdershins well i can see who isnt a marimba player let alone someone that knows mallet tempo XD this is possible and not sped up, and i had a front ensemble instructor who could play at this tempo, just lots of practice. also if it was sped up the instrument would sound more high pitched but it sounds 100% like a normal marimba. also sometimes you have to start off very suddenly with more mallet height which gives it that "jerk" look to it, its a sudden octave start/jump.
no, trust me I know its possible to change the speed of audio without changing the pitch, they do it in radio commercials all the time. I tried to incorporate that into my explanation, but I guess I wasn't clear enough. I do listen to A LOT of electronic music and edited recordings and trust me, with what I do basically all the time, I know all about it, lol. I kind of need to. Again, great job FOTBB!!
My band director taught us that as soon as possible so that if we had to play fast for music in the future, it wouldn't be a problem. Not to be rude, but this isn't something special.
while it doesn't necessarily have a key it definitely has a tonal center which is sort of like a key but really it's just defines whatever notes you begin and end on
@Marinbot I am not trying to dis or anything, but he is playing at that tempo. you clearly cannot see his feet. You also have to think about how long he has played marimba.
@kionay No...the point is its NOT in a key. Sure it has Bb listed which would make you think from your music class that it is in the key of F. However, as anybody knows who knows anything (and trust me a know a good deal about music, I dont mean to sound arrogant but your being a little rediculous) about music knows that FOB is chromatic...it literally uses all of the 12 notes, usually in 4 different octaves. There for it is in no key.
This is extremely cynical of me, and I may be wrong, but is this a speeded up video? I managed to get some good results with an audio recording of piano playing once!
Lol... I used to be able to play the first bit of this on marimba... but reading that damn music was a pain in the ass... Tchaikovsky was the devil! But well done sir and/or madam!
Oops, forgot to hit record
Landon Luman For the 10th time

SACRILEGIOUS!!!!!
Can there just be 1 video actually showing how to play this?!?!?!
Just look up the sheet music
you're expecting me to actually READ? you're insane.
@@batboy5023 it's not even that hard to play by ear, it's literally a chromatic scale
Learn on your own
That was AWESOME, if I tried to play half of it my hands would fall off
Watching From The Philippines!! 🇵🇭
This is very satisfying to watch
give this man a prize
This is proof that god exists
That was AMAZING!!! I wanna play like that! Only in my dreams! Lol ;D
at :49 seconds... yeah, I hate to be a "hater" however, I do feel this video was sped up/edited.
Twee Widdershins I think so too. Body movements are too jerky all of the sudden to be real.
Twee Widdershins after seeing the video, that makes sense.

+miloucet winds It sounds more than a half step higher.

But it takes skill, I don't see why you have to be rude about it.
Let me see you do this
The Dwarven Chamber I'm fairly certain you cannot do this. Anyone who learned this wouldn't say something so stupid.
Hm I smell b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-bullshit

while it doesn't necessarily have a key it definitely has a tonal center which is sort of like a key but really it's just defines whatever notes you begin and end on
I dunno why, but I picture huge ass bees in like dreads smoking blunts.
AMAZING ! I love the marimba .
When you switch it to 0.5 speed it sounds like me playing it 😂
I don't see why people would doubt this. Although I admit something like this would take much skill, it's not entirely impossible. Good job breh.
This video is definately not sped up. Wow kid you've got amazing hands!!!! GREAT job!!!
Damn that was awesome!
That's beast right there
why cant people just believe that percussionist can actually move their hands this fast?
Nice performance! Interesting choice of instrument.
Cool!
That was awesome
omg that was amazing! up to tempo too, very impressive! good work my friend, good work =]
Nice, have a look of mine too playing it 8-9 years ago :)
best one ive seen
this is awesome
The thing about this on marimbas is that its just doing chromatics in a easy pattern fast, going fast is harder than the actual piece itself
No one :
A piano player laughing so hard
"The man with wrists of Iron"
I'm very tempted to learn this
@Marinbot I am not trying to dis or anything, but he is playing at that tempo. you clearly cannot see his feet. You also have to think about how long he has played marimba.

@sorakeyblade100 He has to move fast, but that is the speed its supposed to be performed.
@Marinbot Well u may be right. Watching moves of camera and the drumer I can also feel that they're speed up.
Damn this guy is rlly good at circular breathing, didn’t even notice a thing when he did it
Hammer Hero :D

I can play the first 8 seconds at that speed! Working on memorizing the rest! Ill post a video reply when I am done ^^
This is amazing, but i do notice you play on the nodes a few times
