The funny thing is that was actually one of his more profound statements. I have noticed this over the years as well. On the RARE occasion that an attractive woman is also smart and has a work ethic, I have found SOMETHING in her history that defines her personality. For some, they were ugly ducklings growing up and then when they got older they grew into their weird ears or their acne went away or they filled out. Or she was the oldest child and had to pitch in with her siblings and take on adult responsibilities. SOMETHING happened that made it so she wasn't simply catered to because of her looks.

My friend from college's dad was a super amazing heart surgeon, a great man from what I have heard in pretty much every way. In my friend's Freshman year at college, his father had a heart attack when only he and my friend were in the house (they live in a rural area so it took a while for first responders) My friend did everything he had learned to try and save his own father, using CPR and all, but before his eyes he was unable to save his father and at a relatively young age (his father was about 60) his father and his hero who taught him all he ever knew passed away before his eyes. My friend had to now take care of his family himself (he said his mother is incompetent) and had to help out his younger siblings, He takes care of their house's property, he handles the finances and everything. My friend is very conservative now. He had no choice but to get involved with huge responsibilities, he couldn't sit there and avoid conflict for the rest of his life. I think its very true, a lot of conservatives have things like this happen at a younger age: they find themselves with responsibility that their liberal counterparts would never imagine having.

Lots of us in Gavin's age bracket (I'm 52) who 20/30/40 years ago were anarchists, free festival, ravers, psychedelic adventurers, anti establishment who back then would have been thought of as going onto being rabid socialist and justice warriors. Lots of us (and I am typing this sat in my car in the English Midlands) have actually in our 40s and 50s become really right leaning. Now I know it's a well known urban myth that we all get right wing as we get older but to my observation it's something more vital and urgent than that. I never expected to feel and occupy the political ground I now clearly and comfortably occupy. It becomes more and more abundantly clear that our grandfather's/fathers were actually right (as in correct) and it's also abundantly clear that our grandfather's would weep and spit on us for what we have done with the various gifts they bequeathed to us.

@@RyanCreatesThings I would say that has more to do with the attitude that older (more fundamentalist christian) conservatives tend to have towards gays. They tend to be openly hostile towards gays and tell them that they're horrible sinners who are going to Hell unless they repent and give up their gay lifestyle. They also make it very clear that you "cannot be gay and christian" and that often gets misconstrued (probably thanks to marxist indoctrination) into, "you cannot be conservative and gay." So in other words, I think we'd have far more gays on our side if we would stop demonizing them for their sexual orientation/lifestyle. Sorry if that came off as aggressive. It was meant more as an explanation rather than an attack. But text doesn't convey that well.

Love Gavin. A lot of what he says is definitely still spot-on. Like the White Nationalists thing... In all my 30 years of living in America, I have met exactly 2. One guy was into the whole skinhead Nazi punk thing, Nazi Dave. Legitimate jew-hating, black-hating, racist guy (although part of me says this guy was just into it on a superficial level, like fashion. Being edgy.). The other I didn't actually meet meet but was just at the same gathering and he had very prominent swastika tattoos, SS, all that bs. So safe to say a legit Nazi. A grand total of 2, and one might not even count. You never hear anyone say they hate blacks or any bs like that in conservative circles... it's just not a thing. Obviously that's an anecdote, but still, if white nationalism is so popular, according to liberals, then how come there is not a single, openly white nationalist person in pop culture or government? And why do people immediately deny it when they are called racist? It is obvious that legitimate racism is a pretty taboo thing... considered ... very bad... by conservatives and liberals alike. Yes it exists, but there are like 20 of them, just disturbed people. ...And now I am going to rant about why I am pissed off at conservatives after being a mainstream conservative for 20 years... Unfortunately, a lot of what he's saying here has also become true about the right... The stuff about conservatives willing to be friends with liberals -- I don't feel like that's the case at all these days. Politics has become so poisonous. The conservative movement is hardly "pro-West" too. I'm talking in generalities of course. This was the "facts don't care about your feelings" era of conservatism, which was great, but I feel it is now subsumed by forum-dwelling, tinfoil-hat idiots who do not read, will not listen to any facts or statistics, will not actually read a bill, or a law, or an indictment... Conservatives have become so predictable in this regard. It's seriously every single issue, you can safely guess that their take will be: conspiracy... (1) Ukraine? "Money laundering op" (even though we have hardly given them any money... we give them weapons, then use the funds to spend on _our_ military but again conservatives don't know nor care about facts like this these days). (2) Indictments against Trump? "All rigged, liberal lies" (without even reading the indictments though... The average conservative these days I could walk up to and ask "What's the Trump RICO case about?" and they literally would have no idea... yet they claim it's all just "lies" without even doing the bare minimum level of looking into it). (3) Border bill? "It wouldn't have closed the border or done anything to secure it!" Again completely false, you can actually just go read the bill which conservatives helped draft before they flipped on it overnight all of a sudden. It was the strongest border bill in US history. But again, conservatives won't hear it. Won't read it. Won't care. It's an anti-fact movement these days. Every other issue -- (4) The election: "rigged." (5) The vaccine: "tracking device!" "Plandemic!" Seriously pick an issue, any issue, and your average conservative voter's answer, 100% of the time, will be conspiracy, despite not having actually read much (or anything) about it at all... And holy moly, talk about treating it like sports: This is the 10000% the GOP in 2024. The border is literally open right now and would be mandated closed by law if Republicans hadn't changed their minds on the border bill at the last second. It would have built the wall too (read starting at page 77). It would have allowed summary deportations... All things conservatives have been asking for for years... And again you can go read all of this, the bill is a public document, section 3301, starting on 205, is what would have "closed the border." But because it is better for Trump in the election if the border stays open, because that's a big thing he campaigns on, the Republicans decided not to pass it. ... So now the border is open... great... And we will never get another chance like it... It's exactly like sports. They do not care at all if the border is open or closed, or they would have closed it... And no, executive orders can't close the border. That didn't work for Trump either, and federal courts shut down his orders that would have interfered with "asylum seekers" because we have a law, passed by congress, that allows people to seek asylum at the border. So a president can't just close the border without violating federal law, which is why the courts shut those down... This is why the bill was so, so, so incredibly important to pass. Because it would have essentially "overwritten" congress's own laws and become law itself. Been a Republican for many years, since age 18, probably always will be one, and I am disgusted Republicans did not pass it. Not voting for Trump pretty much solely because of that, and I voted for Trump both times before. And the Ukraine thing is such a cop out. No one's taxes go up because of Ukraine. It spends money on _our military_ not theirs, and it's a drop in the bucket besides...... As someone who has been ranting about illegal immigration for years, I would be in favor for giving literally any country a small payment like that if it meant that a *permanent border wall would be built and we would be able to summarily deport criminals, add an absolute 60-day limit to anyone "seeking asylum" before they get the boot, closed the border by law when the crossing threshold of 5,000 crossings/day is met, and give HLS unilateral authority to close the border even if it's less than that.* I would give any country a donation to get that, permanently, which I have wanted for so many years... We could have had all of that. Despicable betrayal by the GOP and its idiot voters don't even realize because they don't read. Anyway, it's become an anti-fact group and is driving away longtime Republicans like myself. It's gotten downright retarded. The GOP used to be the party of lawyers and entrepreneurs and judges and stuff... Seems to mostly be trailer trash these days. Nixon and Reagan rolling over in their graves smh.

Maybe not all people will Have such an intense reaction but some do.. Have faith in humanity to do the right thing. Being divisive is the last thing we need, we need to come together and unite against the injustices of the world. As one we can accomplish infinitely more than if we're segregated into so many different factions. As far as I can tell Gavin has extremely moderate views of the world. I still don't understand the big deal.
That is just it. He is a regular guy that isn’t radical and he has influence because he is likable and funny. His history as a publisher scares the regressives that he can spread a message that is not theirs.
"Extremely moderate"
Simple. He opposes Islam.

Broomtwo but then the other side I grew up in a rougher neighborhood in Boston and most of the people I’ve known have been products of single parent households that struggled with crime and drugs and most of them turned into raging leftist I think experience has a lot to do with it but maybe environment has a lot to do with it ..

They also make it very clear that you "cannot be gay and christian" and that often gets misconstrued (probably thanks to marxist indoctrination) into, "you cannot be conservative and gay."

I'm from Southern California and I used to say "like" all the time and when I escaped to the midwest every single person I knew called me on it. Lol I never knew I was saying it.
Haven't seen a kid climb trees in ages.

This man really needs a voice, he deserves the opportunity to speak to people who want to listen and He is not responsible for the actions of others. He may say things that offend people at times but he deserves to be heard. And if you are not interested in what he's saying just don't listen. But if you want to expand your knowledge of the world and others in it lend him your ear. Set aside your preconceived notions of Gavin and you may be surprised. Or not, and that's okay too. If Gavin really is all bad or as bad as you think he is, the best thing to do is give him a platform and let people decide if they want to listen. Silencing people will only serve to radicalize. Maybe not all people will Have such an intense reaction but some do.. Have faith in humanity to do the right thing. Being divisive is the last thing we need, we need to come together and unite against the injustices of the world. As one we can accomplish infinitely more than if we're segregated into so many different factions. If you treat people with respect and listen to them you'd be surprised at just how well you will be treated in return. We need open minds and open hearts.

It's completely fair to find someone reprehensible but to take away their ability to reach people isn't the right choice. People can be idiots at times but I have enough faith in them, in this modern age, to make the right choices. I don't believe letting Gavin have a platform makes anyone commit violence. People are responsible for their own actions. And I think there are more level headed individuals out there than lunatics. The instances we hear about through the media give us the perspective that there are huge swaths of people out there that are violent or want to cause harm to others. I just don't believe that. Damn gavin grilling the interviewer right off the bat with those serious questions
Surprised RUclips still allows this.
My parents got divirced when I was 11and it was 100% my mom. My dad fought really hard to try and keep it together but she wasn't having it, and it kinda broke him for like 5 years. And Gavin's right it makes me terrified of having kids because my dad would see us maybe once a month and it's shitty.
Zennials? You mean Zoomers.
Generation Zyklon
2000mers, correct.
Zoomers are women that suck dick for crack rocks. Been that way since before I was born.
Centennials I heard is the term for us now
Boofers
The Superman part is so hilarious Gavin is a comedic genius
More interviews 1791- you do a great job.
The world today desperately needs men like Gavin.
