The thing that worked so well about the marketing campaign at the launch of BF3 was that the developers were so confident in their product that they didn't try to sell us on glamor shots of simulated skirmishes full of AI soldiers stiffly running in slow motion. They sold us on raw gameplay footage that looked so good that it let the game speak for itself. In other words, they sold us on what it was like to *play* the game.

@@Remy-eu8fm I personally am a fan of bf3 because in bf 4 the map loading is very long (because I have hhd and 4 gb ram I guess). But anyways both of them are very enjoyable. The only thing that makes bf4 a better option to buy is the fact that there are more populated servers. You find enough servers in bf3 as well, don t worry. In bf3 the visuals are a bit exagerated, it means that on some maps the sunshafts may blind you xD. Best games made by human

Who else gets that feeling when you’re playing BF3 in a coordinated squad and you decide to land at a certain objective out of a chopper and you get that feeling of “oh I’m just a part of this unit.” It felt so alive. The character models were pure gold.

It just means that graphic quality stopped evolving 10 years ago. There isn't a lot more they can do to make games look better. Most features will impact the devs in the future. UE5 already made the step in this direction. There is no reason to go above uhd and for small screens even fhd is enough.
I still remember turning it on on my ps3 the first time after 4 weeks of vacation (I got the game as a easter present). Playing Bazaar. Intense action everywhere I look. The sound vibrating my eardrums. Feeling like I was there in person inside of all this chaos. I will never forget that moment. Bf 3 and Bf 4 will forever stay in my hearth and they are one of the best multiplayer games ever made in my opinion. Nothing has ever come close to what I experienced in Bf3 and 4. The graphics made the game even more intense.

This game was a marketing gold standard. Ive never played a game that prior to launch was so hyped about. I was at the edge of my seat with every trailer and video that was released. Nothing has matched this game since.
If this game was rereleased in 2021 and I never heard about it before or knew that it was from 2011, I’d genuinely think this is a brand new title with 2021 game tech.

This is the only video game other than the first Star Wars battlefront 2 game that I can look back on and just miss the memories. This game will go down as one of the best shooters ever made in the history of games. Watching this trailer again shot me back in time and man were those good times.
