Oh I love how this came out!! I think the thickening actually made the design really unique. I like that the purple doesn't look like a totally separate layer.
Very lovely, in spite of the thickening of the batter. The purple appears to float in the center of a white bar instead of being three individual layers.❤
When you colour your batter, you just measure the colour in & mix, but when you add titanium dioxide, its always pre mixed wth water, why is that, wouldn't it be better to mix it with oil? And congratulations on yet another fabulous looking soap.
Your work is fantastic great artist I have a question the heat transfer level where you poor the lye into the super fats or hard oils does it kill the benefits of the hard oils? I do HP
Ophelia’s Soapery sorry another question How long does it take the soap to cure? and at what temperature is your lye? Thank you so much for answering my questions 🙂
This is just a dream! So wonderful. However: once you made the lye solution you put it with the oils and butters or do you wait until the lye solution reaches a specific temperature? I'm new to soap crafting and watching someone so skillful as you inspires me so much, yet there's a lot I still don't know! Thank you, I hope you'll answer to this. Keep up your great work!
Everything lavender is always my favorite. Beautiful.. I have a question for you. I've made soap starting for my oldest son for many years but only personal use or maybe as gifts. I had someone ask me about a soap I couldn't answer. Never did this. Have you ever or considered making soap for pets?? It makes sense. Most pets are many peoples closest family. I can not find much info on it as for the artisan soap world.
I haven’t made pet soaps. Are you on Facebook? I’m in a lot of soap making groups and there are many posts about dog soaps on there. A lot of people are for it. And a lot are not. 🤔
Deborah Farr, I’ve made dog soap before. There is a recipe on RUclips but I can’t remember the soaper. It involves oats. It’s great! Look it up if you can.
Can you use more then one butter in your soaps? I can't use coconut oil in my soaps as I'm allergic, so I'm wondering if I can use Cocoa butter to replace it, but I already have shea butter in my recipe at 15%. I haven't actually made any soap yet, but I'm playing with recipes.
A good replacement for coconut oil is babassu oil. It will create bubbles like coconut oil does. Cocoa butter wouldn’t add bubbles. But you can use more than 1 butter. I use cocoa butter and Shea.
Of course you can. I charge a little more for my essential oil soaps. I get my essential oils from New Directions Aromatics. They have great prices and their essential oils are amazing. Also use a eo calculator that way you’re not using too much I use this one www.eocalc.com/enter-your-own-blend/
What ratio of titanium dioxide and water do you use? I can NEVER get my soaps to be white. They always come out yellow. Also, your soap is gorgeous as always!
Ophelia’s Soapery I’ve been getting it from Bramble Berry. I usually do the 1tsp of titanium dioxide to 1 teaspoon of oil, but the color was bad, so I then tried water and the color is better, but now I have a lot of glycerin rivers.
@@OpheliasSoapery I have the same problem. Is there a limitation on how much titanium dioxyde you can use in your soap, regarding regulations, etc? Do you measure the water in the lye water differently since you're adding more water with the titanium dioxyde?

Who clicks "like" before you even watch the video -- because you know it's gonna be awesome? :)
I always do in case I forget
Guilty
Looks like heaven in a bar of soap 🧼
I love that you had a backup stick blender so handy!!! Always enjoy watching you create...
It seem you know how to handle that batter no matter what it throws at you. It turned out beautifully.
Ahhh, Julie, you had me at lavender! The results of the thickening seemed to add to the results. 👏👏👏💜💜💜

Make a 2021 version , looks wonderful!!
Dainty and so pretty. A classic.
Your soap always a very pretty design. Simple yet so beautiful 😍😍😍
Gorgeous, as are all of your crafting! You truly make things happen...keep inspiring!!!
This heat transfer method is so cool! Thank you for your videos and inspiration!
Very nice and simple. Thanks for sharing.
Magnifique, j'aime beaucoup vos savons originales. Merci de nous les partager!
💜Absolutely GORGEOUS!! Lavender fragrance is growing on me but this turned out beautifully!💜
Even with a slightly badly behaved fragrance oil, you still make the most stunning soaps! #soapinggoals
This came out so lovely and soft looking. TFS
Your videos are so satisfying!
You never disappoint......your soaps are always stunning
Great design 💖

The TD I have is water soluble. I have seen people put it in their oils but I don’t want to risk having any white clumps :)
So satisfying to watch! Gorgeous batch.
Loving the swirl as always 💜👍
My evening’s entertainment
Thank you ☺️
Beautiful
I absolutely love your work. Beautiful job as always.
Beautiful soap as always!
My lavender buds always turn black. Did you do anything to prevent that from happening? It’s a beautiful soap btw.
Your work is fantastic great artist I have a question the heat transfer level where you poor the lye into the super fats or hard oils does it kill the benefits of the hard oils? I do HP
No. When it’s melting it only reaches 120°f then I add my liquid oils and it goes down to 95°f.
To my understanding hot process reaches over 200°.
Ophelia’s Soapery sorry another question How long does it take the soap to cure? and at what temperature is your lye? Thank you so much for answering my questions 🙂
Nice process
Fabulous Girl! You always do such a fabulous job!

Keep up your great work!
I add the lye solution right away to make sure it’s as hot as it can be so it will fully melt the hard oils/butters :)
Beautiful soap

Im new to CP soap making. Is their a benefit to using this method? Is it just faster?
Yes. It’s just faster. Instead of waiting hours for your lye water and melted oils to cool. You can Soap right away with this method :)
At what temp do you mix the lye soln to the hard oils n butters ...
As soon as the lye is dissolved. Probably over 200°
These bars are beautiful, but is there a reason why you chose the heat transfer method?
Yep. Just saves me time. I don’t have to wait for hours for my lye solution to cool down :)
@@OpheliasSoapery Oooh, okay. I'm new to soaping... trying to learn all I can. Thanks!
I love the pattern and idea! What kind of cutter was that you used to cut the square down? Also, where do you buy your mica's from?
It’s called a slab cutter. There are links to everything in the description box :)
I've been thinking that the clear bucket you have is a never ending soap bucket.🤔
Will you be making more soon?
I’ll try to make more soon. ☺️
Is it possible to make this amount of soap using ONLY essential oils or does the out of pocket expense make it not worth the try?
Of course you can. I charge a little more for my essential oil soaps. I get my essential oils from New Directions Aromatics. They have great prices and their essential oils are amazing. Also use a eo calculator that way you’re not using too much

I’m not sure. I don’t measure it. I just add a little water and allot of TD. Where do you get your TD from?

Hi! What lye water temperature should be?
For the heat transfer method I think lye water is about 200° I don’t let it sit I pour it right in when the lye is dissolved.
How do you know if the lye water has enough heat to melt your hard oils?
You pour it in as soon as you mix it. It definitely has enough heat. If you let it set a while. It probably wouldn’t melt them.
Love it
I’m love!!!!!!
Super pretty my daughter says.
What a beautiful creation!!!❤️ thank you for sharing your knowledge with us!
Does heat transfer method speed up trace? Thank you!
It is a lot warmer than I’m used to. But I haven’t had any issues. It really depends on the fragrance oil for me.
nice
