Cow pasture prepared track. 68 cars show up but, only 36 get to race. Terrible decision. I would have trailered and never returned to USAC. It's probably why they have low car counts now.
That's the way usac did things for years. Then before that they didnt even have the non qualifiers race if you qualified bad you went home period. Nowadays everyone gets to run a heat race which is definitely more fair
It's dirt racing. Get over it. 350 cars show up for the chili bowl and only 24~ get to race the feature... i suppose no one should be showing up for the chili bowl either right? maybe no one should've been showing up for 45 years to indy on bump day either? it's called competition. Some win, some lose. And since they're all supposed to be adults or mature enough to compete like adults, no. They don't get a participation trophy either. FYI, in racing that's called tow money.
@@FloridaManRacer Wrong, wrong, wrong, like Knoxville you have your day of the week to run. Been to both. Everyone gets an opportunity to qualify through races for the finals night. Comparing apples to oranges, both Knoxville and the Chili bowl are premiere events that include several days of racing. There is an opportunity to run at both.
@@ChazISfat You mean NASCRAP, Never but, if you show up on a Saturday night to run a regular show, you qualify and let heats decide the field. Been to Sprint Week several times but, sending 32 cars home after qualifying is ludicrous and a ripoff of fans. Here in Wisconsin, we have had 60 to 70 winged sprint cars show up for a show, qualify, decide the field through heats and a pair of B Mains. You advance, not go home after qualifying. That is moronic and you would have to be dumber than dirt to accept that as a paying fan.
James sage in the stands. Rip brother
54:08 I member the days when TV broadcasts actually taught you about how the cars were being innovated and the reasoning behind it...do you member?
You wouldn’t happen to have Limaland 2003 would you
the pa announcer you can sort of hear in the background now works at sonoma raceway...you can tell it's him, he sounds like he has a perpetual cold
I live 7 minutes from there.
