Basically it seems like EA is introducing specific cards as balancing checks on the game. Whereas other games just release patches that buff/nerf specific aspects of the game, doing that for a game like madden and specifically MUT, would royally piss off the community. So they bring in cards that change the meta when they see a need to do so. Whether it's hutch for permanent xfactors, or putting cards in the game with great man coverage abilities(like bottleneck) to promote people to play more man, giving the community a bit more variety I guess. With man coverage it's more of a bandaid fix until the next game where hopefully man coverage AI is more consistent across the board, so they don't need to do shit like permanent bottleneck xfactor. Me personally, it may be fun, and we may have tools to combat it, but I'm never gonna love the idea of permanent xfactors, whether it's stuff like unstoppable xfactors or xfactors baked on as abilities. I think it's absurd. Xfactors by their very name are supposed to be like game-changing abilities, it doesn't even matter that we have the 3 xfactors per side limit anymore with a bunch of cards getting them baked on. Xfactors should activate only after certain conditions are met, and they should last a set amount of time(like one possession at most). That's just me. I like abilities, but it's gone overboard and should be dialed back down some. I think we should get access to really good abilities SOONER in the MUT year(stuff like set feet, hrm, deep kos), but the ceiling for abilities should be dialed back a bit so it doesn't go so overboard later in the year.
Civil if you want to run one, friendly or money. I have an offense I guarantee you’ve never seen that I think is the best in the game. I’ve been smoking multiple high level pros. It’s not super cheesy and it’s got the most unique routes in Madden.
these cards this year are unreal with 0 AP everywhere, Ive always liked my 99 teams better than early year teams cause plays are easier to execute. Its still like chess though when some ideas don't work well, they just make you look goofy!)
Genius in terms of money grab. We are rushing to catch up or get ahead of the meta curb. And if you don't. Good luck. It's spend or get away from the moving train. Example... if you don't have certain things.. your cooked from the beginning. Like.... not having secure tacklers or not having secure protectors.
No disrespect, but IMO in order for you to have an opinion on this you would have to play the comp gameplay with it. Like the nightly PL tourneys. If you go and play those and still agree with that it’s fine, but I don’t see how you can draw conclusions without actually playing where bottlenecks etc. is comp.
What you think about that khyree Jackson card that everybody was in a frenzy about. Weak tackling and weak pursuit, power and strength as a defensive player..
It is cool how the dynamic changes. The Brady omaha was too much when there was no counter. My gripe now is at this stage it's braindead madden. This bottleneck just buy the right players and put your controller down...no adjustment/skill. People just running streches/rpo 30 times a game with 6 vanguards. All the ko's are stupid too but a month left so whatever. Looking forward for 25 playing with 82s.
