Just wanted to say thank you. I just refurbished my 8 ft snooker table, changed it from the smaller cushion rubber to 1/2 inch norther rubber and your videos have helped immensely. Really appreciate you putting these up :)
Yes it is sapele, one cote of stain is enough. I then use a small amount of the same stain in the first coat of sealer to uniform the colour and get the desired shade. I use morrells products
@@simonherbert9130 ok thanks, bty you do a great job, im doing a 8ft snooker table by having to replace the wood as its a old table which is a R. Stevens and Sons and they was making full sized tables in the 1830s , i was lucky to buy this table for 99p which was in need of restoration and now its near to brand new, you give me great tips of how to fit the rubbers and how to get the right staining and laquers just right.

what is the correct height or the cushion rail when using a full size ball
39mm at top of covered cushion is a great starting point for 2 1/16” balls.
1 1/2” from playing surface to the top of the cushion nose.
How this has just over a thousand views and only 18 likes (including mine) is beyond me! This is amazing to watch.
hello sir i need this templates in pdf file.can you send me this templates diagrams.thanks sir nice video

halo
Nice workmanship!!
Not very helpful! Most of the time you can't see what's he doing. E.g. clothing the end of the rails were not shown.
Sorry, it was never ment to be a how too video, more to show the process of restoring the cushions.
how can I get my cushions to high gloss finish like on a star or dynamic table?
We use 40% lacquer to achieve a satin finish which does gloss up over time. You can always use a higher percentage lacquer to achieve a gloss finish
could you tell me what kind of stainer is used on the rails panels and how many coats it needs on this wood if its Sapele , thanks?
