  • Hello and welcome everybody! In this video, I'm going to show you how to unlock the full potential of your GoPro, or any action camera - by using cheap, but powerful lenses that can help you shoot incredible macros and start building your own, custom optics. If you've ever tried to take a close-up shot with your GoPro and couldn't make it focus, this video is for you. By using old lenses that you can find for next to nothing, you can take your footage to the next level and unlock limitless creativity.
    In this video, I'll demonstrate how you can use a 52mm macro lens on your GoPro and show you how to mount it using a simple adapter. But this is just one example - there are many other filters and special lenses of various sizes and purposes that you can use to build your custom, creative lens.
    By using these lenses, you can get really close to your subject and reveal all the details that your action camera couldn't focus on before. You can also get a strong background separation effect and correct overexposed shots in full sunlight by simply adding this one macro lense.
    And the best part? All of this can be done with cheap, readily available lenses that are often unused or discarded. By giving them a second life with your GoPro, you're not only unlocking your own creativity, but also contributing to a more sustainable future.
    Check those links to some of the cheap lenses and adapters similar to those I used in this video, so you can get started right away:

    So join me and let's explore the endless possibilities of shooting macros with any GoPro! Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe to my channel for more creative tips and tricks. Thank you for your great support. my dear friends!

      I truly appreciate your attention to my work mate, this is so far the most lifechanging hack since I had my GoPro. There is so many different lenses to play with, you can put several of them together for combined effects or filters, and I'm truly amazed with how the GoPro algorythm and optics is handling the macro lense I'm using with it. Try yourself and you will see it truly does wonders for those closeups. You will make some absolute bombs with it, I know that already.

    I have been using a cabachon over the lens of my Dji Osmo Action 4 (because it does not have a mocro lens to purchase), and it has been good enough but my fingers get in the way. This sounds much better. Thank you.

      Your visit is always a joyful occasion, thank you kindly for the friendly feedback. I'm certain you are going to have lots of fun with any action camera. GoPro is the most popular for sure and version 11 does have truly unique capabilities, but even much cheaper devices still can get you very nice results. Make sure to try out the device and check the resulting footage on a larger screen before any purchase. Lately I was pleasantly surprised with the brand Niceboy and their line of devices. Good luck choosing your new creative tool. Have a great day, my dear friend.

    Color grading is awesome! What was your camera setting in this video? And color grading tips?

    • @sim2g
      @sim2g  Год назад +1

      Hi and thank you for stopping by. I'm allways using vivid colors and lowest sharpenning level when shooting. Mostly doing 5.3k in 60fps for some versatility in afterproduction. Most of the footage in this video was not colograded at all. When you shoot in vivid color mode with good light, GoPro produce this footage directly from the camera.

    It's a joke, but I used my iPhone camera to look through the lens of my SLR film camera.

    • @iketachuu
      @iketachuu Год назад +1

      @@sim2g I saw the Wikipedia of the link you introduced! It's a Czech twin-lens reflex camera! A twin-lens reflex is a camera that every photographer wants! My father doesn't know who the manufacturer is, but he seems to have had one when I was a child! After that, my father bought an Asahi Pentax with three months' salary. He also bought an 8mm projector at the same time. It was, of course, a luxury in those days.😁
