I am known as the "Flip Phone Guy" for a reason-I know exactly how easily the government and Big Tech can track standard smartphones.
Six weeks ago, I tested the UP Phone by Unplugged for the first time (Watch that video here: • Former CIA Officer: Ca... ). Since then, I’ve used it every day to see if it actually holds up.
In this update, I give you my honest, unfiltered review. I cover the good (the physical "kill switch" is a game changer), the bad (some apps just won't work), and the ugly (the camera isn't an iPhone). If you value your privacy over playing Candy Crush, this is the only smartphone I would trust with my data.
The UP Phone is built for people who value privacy above all else. Designed with cutting-edge security features - no Google, no Apple, no hidden trackers - it’s the smartphone that puts you back in control.

Former CIA guy says you can trust this tech. You cant trust that tech 😂
one thousand. GOS outclasses this.
Seconded GrapheneOS
Graphene OS is the best solution.
Get a Pixel 8 or newer, and install Graphene OS. It removes all of Google off of it. You can research, but between Graphene OS and the Titan M2 security hardware in the phone, it's the most secure phone on the planet at that point. This has been confirmed by multiple different security communities, tech magazines, etc.
@AMINE-yy3zb agreed, especially with the Pixels titan m2 (security) chip/hardware.
Most secure phone is no phone.
there are no solutions only tradeoffs, so...
That’s a contradiction, not a statement
🍌Bananaphone!
That's why I use courier pigeons
@ablejohnson😂😂😂😂😂
If it Transmits, nothing is Safe
The ABSOLUTE TRUTH.
Haha does he forgot one thing that cellular networks keep track of your location literally. Because once you start moving you are being transfered from one cellular site to another. And hello apple use thinking of tchnique for navigation. It's not called cellular phone for nothing. You are emitting radiation or radio waves. And ceilllular site can act a tracker. How do they think anti radiation missile destroy radar installation by tracking radiowaves. Those radio waves have characteristic electronicaly you can scan the entire spectrum and find and intercept communications. He is CIA or supposedly a CIA but yet he was not brief of this s called classified intelligencem
@lusqwerty That's the God's honest truth!
I'm so glad I've kept my landline. Never replacing it.
@MichaelBarnhart-i5i you think that's a landline you got? i did too until they accidently cut the fiber optics line out of my little town and all calls outside of town didn't work cellular or land line. i found out that day from the phone company your voice is sent analogue to a junction box not to far away and that box that then converts it to digital and spits it out over the internet like anything else.remember vonage? well now that's what a landline is . i cut it off if the landline relies on internet what's the point?
Wrong
This phone: $1,000
Faraday Bag: $20
No Phone: Free
GrapheneOS is what he should be using
I've been right with you on this for some time. However after seeing the value of the videos of the shootings of Good and Pretti I recognize there is a value to being able to actually use a phone in situations that you wouldn't want to be tracked as well.
@Napalmdog I've seen those videos too. 10 times. Nobody is able to reject small pleasures.
You are clearly unplugged. Lol 😂
Hermit
Why can't they just make it a removeable battery like they used to instead of having a battery switch?
I was thinking the same thing
Why??? Because they or he or It wants or likes to track you...
When a "former" CIA employee advertises a product, you know you really shouldn't use it.
😂😂😂
also a jew
And yet here you are...
This guy was top in his field before retirement
Why?
@janicehragaif you trust the CIA, good luck.
The cost and hassle of just trying to keep your privacy these days is FRICKING RIDICULOUS.
The irony with having a "totally secure" phone is that it puts you in the 0.01% of phone users that get red flagged as possibly suspicious foreign operatives; making it more likely--not less likely--that you'll have visitors come surveil you.
@NUNYABIZNNAAAZZZ It's an information economy, bruh. You can't even go off the grid under the table and deal drugs without needing a smartphone. Let alone have a legit job like sales, management, medical, and so on.
Yeah well you've never had your identity stolen, credit ruined, where it cost you to loose your job, home, business. I have and my wife fell into the kind of depression that takes lives and in 2023 she took hers. PRIVACY IS MANDATORY, PERSONAL SECURITY IS A CHOICE!
@Doctor_Technopoliswhat kind of paranoid babbling BS is that? So your saying "why even try to be private"? Or "Doing so makes you suspicious"? That sounds like you've been programmed my the matrix and ignorance is bliss........enjoy that steak Cypher¡
I am so sorry for your loss Sir. My young teenage daughter did the same.
Then my husband of decades did most of what was on your list too.
Jesus, my King & Savior gave me strength to endure. God bless you & May He protect you. In Jesus’ Holy Name 🙏
So many "former CIA officers" becoming RUclipsrs now, lol.
A badge they carry with pride , it’s more like a warning 😂😂
And they have to get books approved as a “former”… they are never out
There a more "former CIA officers" than "former NSA officers" among RUclipsrs.🤔
Pay opp
notices how all these 'CIA agent' RUclipsrs think that just saying they were ex-CIA actually gives them some credibility without actually proving they were CIA? lol
Did they pay you to say “smartest tech minds on the planet?” 😮
There is NO such thing as ´´Former CIA Officer´´.
Imagine ever trusting a ex cia officer
This! They're such a secretive organization, and we don't even know the half of all their projects over the years... Ex-CIA means red flag.
I enjoy listening to Larry Johnson: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=larry+johnson _ but I am sure, most US-citizens do not like what he is saying and therefore do not like him. Would I trust him? ... hmm... depends on the subject and if I am potentially on the "wrong" side in the given case, I guess ...
PS: a pixel smartphone from google and a Linux OS like Graphene or LineageOS would be the device of my choice, if I'd care - but I dont. // If I hide, I cannot make the future the same way compared to when I shout out loud. ... I am in diaspora already, so ...
Like trusting an arsonist to make your house fire safe I guess ...
🤔
@cbdc4ai My father was an agent. I wouldn't trust any of them...NEVER!
Ask Virginians who voted for obamas friend Spanberger hows thats going
having a Faraday go-dark bag for your phone - even your dumb phone - is key. I never want to walk around totally tracked and totally at the beck and call of anyone who wants to just randomly ring me and demand my time
I use an ingenious trick that I don't think anybody has ever thought of before. *IF* I am busy, I do *NOT* answer the phone. 🙄🙄🙄
@SydneySox you are a ufcking genius mate
Faraday bags have their own issues. Mainly user error or wear and tear.
@mikapeltokorpi7671 even the human body has 'issues', like 'wear and tear'. Try to think of a statement that is not of the screaming stupidly obvious which can be answered with 'When could you NOT say that?'
@jzvwkqvisl If only you use your neurons you can be too!
When Erik Prince and a former CIA member are promoting a phone with a dev team based in Israel, anyone buying it thinking it’s “secure” is a dumbass.........
Enjoyed out beepers? Why don't you try our phones? Free delivery to Lebanon and Syria.
Can I get a bundle deal with the pager?
Prophets are through the roof !
I'm skeptical, too. Anyone who buys this phone is going to attract the interest of the topmost unwanted entities.
@chknchkn6385 Correct. Instant red-flag list.
Who runs the VPN? Has it been audited independently?
Yeah it was audited by the cia
@dancingisraeli911 Definitely shit then! lol
I do not want good bad or ugly. I just want good.
Thank you for making this video. Now I know not to buy that phone.
lol proof the ppl dont trust our gov!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Never a truer word said in jest.
Lmao
Bruh the C.I.A are the most lying and crucial people alive don’t believe this guy
Trust google instead.
Crucial?
@filmscribeAeric if u trust google ur woke
its prob a direct line to fbi lol
Not to mention the billionaire satanic tech
Premium price for old hardware.
Now they have the Flock Cameras going 8:43 up everywhere. A constant surveillance state. Everytime you drive past one, they record your tag # . And they sell subscriptions to police and sheriff's department everywhere. Won't be long they will.mount radar on them and start sending tickets out because of them. All illegal 4th amendment violations.
They are doing that now in all major cities! The backers are out for the $$$
Foregoing privacy and the law books.
Sand chewy seties.
Former CIA who is still working very discreetly and Secretly Is Saying Everything Outlloud about Himself. I am Thinking About Mr Bean Doing Secret Bond Movie
UP Phone
Regular price $989.00 Sale price$839.00 - Holy Cow that's expensive. I'm keeping my Walmart flip phone that I add minutes to as I need them.
I'm keeping my chainsaw and wood pile for sending smoke signals.
I got a Brax3 phone for $320.00 not too bad of a price
@fabirkemarian6370, 👍🏼😂
@itrytobeanonymoustoo5289 How do you like it? I watch him a lot. He has one for $60/yr. Real simple and limited but a phone nonetheless. Just curious which one did you get?
@fabirkemarian6370 LOL so much for tracking protection.
"Four years in" mossad had a back door and built in extra battery.
This is also made in Israel.
I wouldn't trust that! Nor would I want to support an Israeli company!
@pastorofmuppets8834 And its Android
You spelled C4 wrong... 🙂
Likely your NSA already does
@pastorofmuppets8834
😂 That's your loss.
Google (likely Apple too) basically is the government, they have 200 "former" CIA officers on payroll as employees. There's basically no privacy. Device IDs are tracked, your car has a device ID on multiple networks too, the moment you are registered in any way your name is associated with those device IDs. Payment systems are all tracked. There is basically no way to not be tracked. If you carry a wi-fi only device, public wi-fi spots log every ID they see, even if you aren't connected. It goes on and on.
What about deleting the Advertising Device ID?
@shiftedperception369yup and AI can figure it out
AI Cameras coming online further tracking human cattle and the end game is the zoo and the zoo keeper....however, there is a lot of irony to all of this
There are plenty of ways to not be tracked. You're ignorant to the intricacies of how these techs work and/or the options that are available. For example Airplane mode with a device that does randomized MAC means no tracking from any external sources. Having software that isn't controlled by or reporting to Google/Apple (and no other spyish/untrusted apps) is a way to avoid tracking from inside sources.
Devices and plans can be purchased without identifying yourself nor using a credit card.
Yes there are many "hazards" and "hoops" one needs to watch out for and jump through, but it's erroneous to say that it's impossible to get privacy. In addition even if it was true that you can't get total privacy (which is true to a degree if you lets say encounter any humans with functional eyes or cameras in your life) it doesn't mean that you can't nor shouldn't_minimize_ it using various techniques and practices.
It's very possible that it might mean not being able to use certain services though, such as payment apps or ride sharing apps because oftentimes that kind of software demands high level access and does "monitoring" of various things on the device.
@shiftedperception369 IDs that companies use aren't thinks users can delete. Sounds like you're maybe referring to some Apple stuff. While Apple can keep you relatively private from _other_ companies, Apple themselves are except from that privacy and collect a ton of information, and they're really bad for this (worse than Google, even)
At 7:12 mentioned SD Card and nothing on the ability to encrypt data saved to the SD Card. This is a major security risk if data is stored unencrypted. The SD card can be easily removed and contents accessed on another device. How was this not addressed in this video??? 🤯
This man is either trying to sneak a bugged phone to potential people of interest or was a Janitor at CIA now self-proclaimed RUclips influencer 😁
😅
The former. Trust me when I say this
What do you have against janitors?? 🤔
That's the same phone Mr Wedding was using, until he wasn't. LoL
"Former CIA Officer" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The person in the video is Andrew Bustamante, and his background as a former CIA officer is widely accepted as legitimate. While the CIA does not typically release a public "roster" of its former employees, Bustamante has provided significant evidence and has been vetted by various high-profile platforms.
Here is a breakdown of how his background is documented:
1. Published Memoirs and Publications
Bustamante and his wife, Jihi (who is also a former CIA officer), recently released a book titled Shadow Cell: An Insider Account of America’s New Spy War (2025).
* The Review Process: Any former CIA employee who writes a book must submit it to the CIA's Publication Review Board (PRB) to ensure no classified information is revealed. The existence of this book, and its legal publication, implies it has gone through this mandatory agency process.
2. Verified Professional History
Before joining the CIA, Bustamante's military service is fully documented.
* US Air Force: He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as a nuclear ICBM operations officer. This military record is public and easily verifiable, serving as the professional foundation from which he was recruited into the CIA's National Clandestine Service.
3. Media and Peer Vetting
Bustamante has appeared on numerous mainstream platforms that conduct their own due diligence:
* History Channel: He is a lead investigator on the series Beyond Skinwalker Ranch. Networks like History/A&E typically vet "expert" credentials for legal and insurance purposes.
* Reddit IAmA: In his multiple "Ask Me Anything" sessions on Reddit, he provided proof of his identity and background to the moderators, who marked his threads as "Verified."
* Major Podcasts: He has been a guest on The Diary of a CEO, Lex Fridman, and The Shawn Ryan Show, where he provides granular details about CIA training (at "The Farm"), the 18-month recruitment process, and specific administrative roles (such as being a Staff Operations Officer in Bangkok) that align with known CIA organizational structures.
Summary of Documentation
| Source | Type of Verification |
|---|---|
| CIA PRB | Book approval process for Shadow Cell. |
| US Military | Records of his time as an AF Academy grad and ICBM officer. |
| History Channel | Professional vetting for television casting. |
| Reddit | Private verification of credentials by site moderators. |
While some critics on social media occasionally question the details of his "undercover" status (noting that he served more in management/logistics roles than "field spy" roles), his actual employment by the Central Intelligence Agency is considered a matter of public record.
?
Got fired within the first hour
@banbin0-q55 More to the point, who does he work for now?
@raygunsforronnie847 he was a former CIA officer, it is the truth
Graphene OS is the best solution.
This
Jup. Had some friction transitioning but still worth it!
it's what I use, with many settings changed and no sim
1-05 present. Tossed the phone. I'm untrackable .
Says: "Don't let Google track you!" Proceeds to get an audience and monetize on RUclips 😂😂😂
Have you looked into the Brax Phone? I forgot to mention it's a googleless phone with privacy in mind.
I was thinking the same thing! I'd like to see him review the Up Phone.
@ThaddeusSowell
? He's just been doing that now hasn't he ?!
@ThaddeusSowellI'd love to see him also do a review up against each other.
Have y'all heard of "Above" Phones?
@ThaddeusSowell Me too only pig Latin!
It was created by the guy who activated PEGASUS😮😮😮
No way!?
@DW-dd4iw Yes way...
"The Unplugged Phone is marketed as being developed in israel, with its day-to-day technology operations led by Eran Karpen, a veteran of israel’s Unit 8200 (a cyber espionage agency similar to the NSA) and former employee of CommuniTake, the israeli startup behind the NSO Group’s Pegasus spyware."
All smart devices track, record, and watch you. This includes phones, tablets, smartwatches, any type of computer, and even our smart TV's. Basically, you'd have to live off the grid with no electronic devices to stop being tracked.
and they are fooling people to make digital ID cards that will track people too
@VerdeAramiu that's only step one. Read the Bible's book of Revelation and you can see the game plan, mark of the beast tech is coming soon.
@DWtechfan i already did it; those who wont have the mark wont be able to sell or purchase anything; we are getting there ID cards are already here, and billionaires buy all the farming land they can to control the food market; the real money will be replaced with digital money; for months i am thinking to relocate to another country because the digital ID are introduced in my country(not madatory for now)
@VerdeAramiu it's scary because we see things converging at once to confirm Bible prophecy. Everything being done with digital id, a crashing economy, the push towards biometrics, and the ongoing AI push with an eventful transition into transhumanism will all lead to the mark of the beast. Sadly, we won't be safe anywhere because once this hits it'll be global. I pray we can all endure what's coming because it's going to get much worse before it gets better.
@VerdeAramiuSo what? Just take what you want. They think we are going to use that bullshit? Just walk into a shop and take what you want. Don't worry about the police. We are ALL sovereign citizens so the law doesn't apply to any of us. The law was invented for one reason and one reason only. To keep us under control. The globalist elites lobby politicians to impose more laws on us. Yet they themselves don't obey them. So we won't either. What are they going to do when all of us say no?
They really haven't thought it through. Bunch of morons.
I don't understand how it can prevent geofencing and still receive phone calls.
So all your notes, your searches gets deleted every 24 hours. So what's the point. You might as well get a burner phone.
If something was to happen to you, you cannot be tracked nor found.
If all of this is so important to you folks, just get a phone with replaceable batteries. When you're done using it. Turn it off and take out the battery.
I'm always surprised at how people keep their banking info on their phones.
if u have an online bank how else do u deposit checks?
@RocksNRuts4 - the home computer instead of the mobile phone? Seriously, it doesnt happen that much but it does happen that the pickpocket grabs a phone & gives it to an expert that can retrieve the bank info.
@WaxmanHenry i agree 10000% but the only way to deposit a check is a cell pic to app, cant on pc....
@RocksNRuts4 - they wont accept a PDF made fro a scanner?
@WaxmanHenry No.
It has a MAC number so it can be tracked if connected
Even if completely off the grid there are other ways they can find you. 👀
The IMEI is what they use for tracking. They can't track a MAC Address.
@pep729 exactly right. A mac address is layer 2, so only applies to local networks.... also you can use mac randomization. @WayneNoneya doesn't know what he's talking about.
@infinityrays yea de little biddy space men in sky lab can spot you on their sup dupa telescopes
@infinityrayslike....

@fabirkemarian6370 Reflection on a mirror from the sun. ☀️
@VintageLPs that's called advanced solar communication 😅👍
Last 'SECURE' phone was loaded with back doors and sold by a company that the fbi or Cia had set up
How does the phone not send signals (geofencing) when it has to connect to towers or, in some cases, a Stingray device spying?
I use a flip phone and thats all I need.
same
I have a dumb phone for leaving my home 🏡
I don't see where a flip phone stops tracking using the phone's ID number. Maybe you can take the battery out. The best feature of the up phone is the battery shutoff, but requires a paper clip, which is a negative. The UP phone is ridiculously over priced.
Use one with my closest friend. Don’t want the CIA to go after her
🔥With the geo fencing, they also used any automobile Satellite location software like On Star...🔥
Why I'm so happy my newest vehicle of my 4 vehicles is a 2005. No Bluetooth, no push start, no onstar.
Remove onstar until from your cars if your car has it. Also find your cars sim and remove it
@tracyjohnson5023
Well, I appreciate it.
@DdZz-f8j
Fools! That's your safety and your link when lost, you have an emergency or an accident.
Cell phones are not always reliable in some mountain areas.
This phone has been hacked numerous times! 😂
Really, when and where
I bought a bridge from that guy already. 😂
can you make a video with multiple people trying to hack you all at once? I'm in a neighborhood, and they come in groups to hack my phones and clone them. I'm see people daily outside my home repeatly hacking me every time i get a new sim, new phone or even just taking my sim out my phone.
Google pixel running graphine OS will do about the same thing except for the battery kill switch... and the cost is only 1/6 of the UP phone.
GrapheneOS is MUCH better... this just appears to be an AOSP phone with some custom shit slapped on
I want a Chinese phone with this graphine OS. After my “encounters” I trust the Chinese more. This what we have come to
@stellita884 can you elaborate on that
@stellita884 genuinely google phones are currently the only ones that meet the hardware security requirements, though they're working on a release with motorolla
I recently watched a video where several different phones were attached to a law enforcement device that automatically hacked them. Only GrapheneOS was unhackable!
Interesting that the Up Phone web site doesn't tell you what their OS is. What is the actual operating system (OS) on the Up Phone?
To bad you need a monthly subscription for this
are you sure?
Well everything he said is pointless then. Subscription = data on a server to keep your info about the subscription.
And made in Israel
Probably has explosives in it
Regardless I am not giving any money to an Israeli company!
This was an informative video. I like the way Mr. Hanson talks fast.
This means no phone, I already gave mine up for life.
In the geofencing section, your phone's location is not affected by its model, as the phone's location data is derived from base stations around it, not from the phone itself.
They will also be doing the same to his flip phone. Misleading. To be fair though, he was talking specifically about Google's role in the scenario he gave and just overlooked the base station records angle - which would also have been used.
@Anchor2012 The flip phone just doesn't have apps that unnecessarily demand access to your files and photos.
@JoeLinux2000 👍
I was interested until I saw how much it cost.
Don't all smart phones cost about that much? I wonder if they have a monthly plan...
I think America is ready for a secure phone that isn't tracked for $150. That's not to much to ask.
Freedom isn't Free
Freedom isn't free? Seriously. Despite the 2nd amendment, ATF have succesfully banned any competative weapons from citizens through primarily making to costly to own a serious weapon. Inaliable rights are often supressed by making it to expensive for most people to obtain.
@Yes-v4v If you're in a Blue State, Yeah, Can't disagree
What is your relation with the company?
Did you buy the phone?
Did they sponsor this?
Just a wild guess, it's the wife's phone...
If he did have a relationship with the phone, he would be required by RUclips to disclose that.
@rattlecat5968 Youttube is another farce. RUclips is essentially a government agency. They delete anything that isn't in line with their political agenda.
Cool information, Watcher's...
Outside of very rare occasions, my cell phone just lives on it's charger on my desk. As far as trackers go, I never leave the house... which apparently in Alabama, many states away from me.
If you have a modern vehicle , sirius xm is in it , even if no subscription it can and is tracked . If you have tire pressure monitor system , it's blue tooth and can be tracked , and is ! If your city or even Rural town has flock cameras , and they do , you are being tracked ! Congress just voted on the vehicle kill switch .
So, what was the outcome?
@fabirkemarian6370 the outcome was every vehicle made there will have to have one from now on
@Blåhaj_adventurer thanks for the update.
@fabirkemarian6370 no worries, though I do encourage you to do your own research, many people on the internet are untrustworthy, actually mainly because they don't do their own research
I'd really prefer my old flip phone myself. It just didn't have solitaire. But with all the other means now being employed through various governmental agencies can you really be secure from being tracked? I imagine if the government can, then anyone intent on doing so can too.
Flip phone that works on the cellular network is just as trackable all the time it is powered up. Cellular base stations can triangulate location and record it (and they do record it in most cases - they could probably draw a map of where you carried that phone for the last two years (at least - all the times the battery was connected).
do these work in Europe?
I’m more worried about big brother getting to decide when,how far I can or cannot drive.
For me, the ideal phone is one that combines flip/fold shape and appearance, top security with the functionality of a top-of-the-line smartphones, a chemical scanner, video-satellite connectivity and the functionality of rugged phones (f.ex. projector, big batteries and such).
Cyberdyne 911 an Isreal company was bought recently by the police cam co. Suspicious 🧐
Cyberdyne?! That is where Miles Dyson worked in Terminator 2... wtf...
How does it work on cell service like straight talk or boost or visible that mostly use Verizon network?
It likely uses the big 3 networks as a virtual mobile network operator.
I like the kill switch. Older smartphones used to have removable batteries and they did away with those on purpose so the SIM card is always powered. The SIM card is what fesses you up to the network.
It's not the SIM card that's the issue. It's the RF (radio frequency) section of the phone, the transceiver (transmitter/receiver) being powered up constantly. It's always on because it's constantly checking signal strength from the nearest cell towers.
Of all the doodahs the guy was touting, the battery hard switch was the best feature of the phone, assuming it actually interrupts power to the processor and RF sections.
Removed mine the other day due to what I was doing. I am starting doing this now when I am handling sensitive things in real life
@terryfaugno9242see, it does NOT. It just makes you believe it does
@stellita884 - I have my doubts as well. At this point, your options are to invest in a properly designed RF blocking pouch or search around for a cheap prepaid from TracFone or Jitterbug, which offer flip phones and have a higher probability of having removable batteries, or go super old school and do away with a cell entirely.
At 7:33, with whom are you communicating by flicking the backs of your fingers outward from your chin?
Ulephone has a new model that we can remove the battery. Can you test it because they say that it is not tracable went the battery is off
It's amazing how many people use their smartphone for banking, and then don't understand how their accounts got emptied.
Right, Why do you need banking info on your phone, or that venmo ( got that wrong ) I got cash, and credit cards if I need them. I also have 4 bank accounts, with different banks. So if someone hacks me I still have funds until the bank fixes stuff. Never carry the 4 bank cards at one time.
Using a web browser to access the bank is significantly less secure than a biometric and/or 2FA banking mobile app. Hackers love a traditional browser session full of cookies, trackers, and known exploits.
The real reason for that though is they don't punch the people when they get caught. If you went up to someone put a gun to their head and stole that much money from them, they would be having to spend decades in prison and give all the money back. If the same thing happened for white collar crimes equally, then it wouldn't happen anymore but extremely rarely. Imagine if we went after people's parents, teachers, friends, siblings for allowing their bad actions to culminate to that point in their life rather than punish them with them so no one deals with the lowlifes anymore?
Having a banking /payment app on their device typically isn't why their accounts would be emptied. Although in some cases when a device is stolen it can be (assailant spies your unlock password before stealing your device, and then immediately starts spending with the payment app, assuming it doesn't have additional protection in place)
It's typically due to getting tricked, such as phishing scams stealing passwords, impersonators pretending to be with a given company exploiting/circumventing 2-factor-authentication, etc. So whether a person has the mobile app or not usually doesn't really matter in that sense.
Security-wise, mobiles are very secure, and it's desktops (including laptops) that are vulnerable. Malware on a desktop can grab cookies, wallets, saved passwords, and/or can keylog passwords. This sort of thing is super rare and generally non-existant on mobile due to it's much higher security model.
how do u online bank? i prefer not to but dont have a local branch
9:30 I don't put info on my phone ever. It's over 800.00😮 my social security doesn't stretch that far, ever.😢
How do we know this isnt a “fishing” expdition by your former employer?
Here sweetie: IT IS
Sounds like something the CIA would say for a phone they have full access to. "It's unhackable"
I strongly believe there's a backdoor somewhere.
$830 bucks for this phone...
needs to come down to half!
Yeah worth less than half after buyers remorse
2 tins cans and a length of string, sorted.
😂 'Two turntables and a microphone' 😂
Better: 100ft of bell wire and two Radio Shack Morse Code kits.
Unhackable comms with ya mate down the road 😂
Comments are always interesting and informative. The phone does have useful and unique features others do not.
Here’s a comment you may find interesting. The company that sells this phone was cofounded by Erik Prince. Google that name.
Game changer! Thank you SO much Jason!
Great ad. Looks pretty good.
How does it shield your MAC address?
You can spoof MACs. Samsungs do this with WiFi methinks. Has been a thing for ages with the right hardware. Rotate your MAC and it's harder to fingerprint you, but it's one of a number of metrics.
@claud1542depends what you're doing, what you want to achieve and how you're doing it. All of these privacy things fail in mis-application without starting from those fundamental questions.
1:35 The first step towards valuing privacy is to leave the United States. There are some countries where privacy is valued more than in the United States. However, wearing a shirt with the US flag on it will not exactly make you popular in these countries.
Haha. Yeah ok. Keep thinking that
Where?
@bradp767Just like China, North Korea and Columbia, US immigration officials want to check 5 years of social media history at point of entry.
Land of the free where US citizens are killed in cold blood in the streets by masked gunmen who cannot be prosecuted.
With a convicted felon who was very very friendly with a pdf file running the show. You're welcome.
@kerryb751 some EU countries value privacy more, even certain foods from the US are banned because the chemicals they use are banned due to health concern.
@Deter08 I'm asking.. who will take us? Leave the US and go where? Which Country is one that will take us?
We are living in wild times when we are expected to trust CIA officers. LOL 😂
😂 yeah welcome to 2026
I don’t know what your expectations are, but I surely don’t trust any of them anymore
JASON CIA ALREADY UPDATED ABOUT THAT
I think a flip phone can be tracked though geofencing too
Almost a grand with $130 yearly subscription, outdated tech/guts, questionable company affiliates, lacks security patches and security features? Jason you should have done a 5 minute search on this phone. I expect better from a former cia spy.
😂
Wow, so basically I was correct AGAIN
I’m too boring to track.
Tracking is great, how on earth does one find their vehicle in a shopping center without tracking? 🙄🙄🙄
The thing is, you can definitely not worry about your privacy and sending all your sensitive information to strangers because you think you're too boring and not an important person to worry about organizations tracking your life activities, until you need it one day (maybe because you woke up after being affected by some weird, shady or unethical policies which affects your life or family's life, and started criticizing a corrupt person or a team in the gov or anything else), but when you need it, even if you start protecting yourself now, it's too late, they already have your sensitive information. Whatever came out of your devices, will never come back again. And If it's out there, you can never delete it.
@themedlebGood point, even 30+ years ago when I was looking after our floor network I warned staff that the organisation could see all they were doing so keep it work related. It’s the reason I’ve never ever posted pictures of myself or family on social media , like emails once you press “send” its out of your control. Thats why I would constantly remind staff if someone made them angry write it on a piece of paper rip it up and bin it, wait five minutes , write again and repeat, never but never put it in an email !! But of course there are people out there that can’t take good advice, as you say eventually the excrement hits the fan. 😀
@themedleb The only sensitive information you can put into a phone is already held on a government database. Except maybe a numbered Swiss Bank Account ...
@SydneySox
Not really, you need to know that phones nowadays collect tons of useful information other than just names, addresses, emails and fingerprints ... I will give you just one simple example to get the idea: Imagine they collect even the pattern of where you commonly tap on the screen for every app, everyday ... And tons and tons of other stuff. Companies and govs doesn't have all that without a smartphone.
"former"... says it all 😂
Can't law enforcement still ping the phone ito locate you?
I wonder if anyone makes an app that stops what goes in and out of your phone and tracking???
I am NOT EASILY sold on anything, and I wasn't on this video either......until you got into the cons! After taking 5 of the 10 min I set aside to research the phone, THEN I was sold!
Thank you for probably the most honest, to the point, and no fluff review I've seen in a hot minute!
You must be his buddy or you have a stake in the company manufacturing the phone...
Well who knew the CIA had sponsers.
Hahahahahahaha
So funny, literally the entire film industry are sponsors for the CIA 😂
@Sheschosen3327 Yup.
@Sheschosen3327this!!!
Thankfully most non-paranoid and non-insane people don't give a rat's ass about tracking on their phone. I have tracking on my phones, laptops, tablets, vehicles, tractors, boat and simply do not care. If a baddie wants to get me then such is life, it will happen no matter what I do so I might as well not inconvenience my life and family out of an irrational fear of being tracked. Given the increasing prevalence of cameras and face recognition i think being paranoid is a waste of medication!
Typical Sheep Gaslighting comment
Once you’re a target there is very little way to defend yourself trust me
Whenever I type any sensitive information into my computer I disconnect the hard drive and plug in a thumb drive with a small temporary OS installer on it. I reinstall Ubuntu into my RAM as needed.
Great video any recommendation where to get that phone, model brand etc. tku for all good information
I use google pixel a9 and graphene OS.
😅 rich ppl pick phones because of privacy, poor ppl pick phones for features, but wealthy ppl build income engines instead of scrolling lol. In a mastermind someone referenced Viral wave mastery (b Victor Hale) and said intelligence in 2026 = leverage + discretion + cashflow, I tested lowkey and first 30 days around 12k, now hover 20k-30k/month and ngl life got way quieter and way easier, hope someone catches that being smart doesn’t pay until it compounds
When Law Enforcement really want to know what someone is up to, they get a judge to authorize a surveillance order and then conduct a " Stingray Operation" which basically means that they intercept the cell phone frequency and just listen, or just get a cell phone scanner and it will pick up cell phone frequencies and that's how any cell phone can be hacked, unless a scramble is being used...
They still have those matrix slide out phones . Pretty sure Morpheus could get Tank to run a program and get you in the matrix undetected for 5 or 6 minutes.
Is the Mac for me Mr. former C.I.A 🤣🤣🤣
What a load of crap you are full of it.
The most secure phone is the phone that has no important data inside...i use my phone like a normal phone...just phone..and that's it.no photos,no videos...no nothing..i don't use banking cards...i use cash...and this is it...and one thing.........i have no secrets to hide.
Looks like a godsend for criminals
Criminals use anonymous burner phones, so can you. Buy a phone and use a fake name and account then register a new email. NEVER put your real email address on your phone. I have all my emails forwarded to my phone email. So what? well who ever might hack or steal my phone cant access any account using that phone. I never ever would put any bank or investment management app on a phone.
What about banking app, or authentication token app does it work in this phone?
where's the phone to get again?
I take a Google pixel with graphene OS loaded to it. That is the most secure option out there to us civilians.
Google?!???? Safe?!!??
