    I am known as the "Flip Phone Guy" for a reason-I know exactly how easily the government and Big Tech can track standard smartphones.
    Six weeks ago, I tested the UP Phone by Unplugged for the first time (Watch that video here: • Former CIA Officer: Ca... ). Since then, I’ve used it every day to see if it actually holds up.
    In this update, I give you my honest, unfiltered review. I cover the good (the physical "kill switch" is a game changer), the bad (some apps just won't work), and the ugly (the camera isn't an iPhone). If you value your privacy over playing Candy Crush, this is the only smartphone I would trust with my data.
    The UP Phone is built for people who value privacy above all else. Designed with cutting-edge security features - no Google, no Apple, no hidden trackers - it’s the smartphone that puts you back in control.

      Get a Pixel 8 or newer, and install Graphene OS. It removes all of Google off of it. You can research, but between Graphene OS and the Titan M2 security hardware in the phone, it's the most secure phone on the planet at that point. This has been confirmed by multiple different security communities, tech magazines, etc.

      Haha does he forgot one thing that cellular networks keep track of your location literally. Because once you start moving you are being transfered from one cellular site to another. And hello apple use thinking of tchnique for navigation. It's not called cellular phone for nothing. You are emitting radiation or radio waves. And ceilllular site can act a tracker. How do they think anti radiation missile destroy radar installation by tracking radiowaves. Those radio waves have characteristic electronicaly you can scan the entire spectrum and find and intercept communications. He is CIA or supposedly a CIA but yet he was not brief of this s called classified intelligencem

      @MichaelBarnhart-i5i you think that's a landline you got? i did too until they accidently cut the fiber optics line out of my little town and all calls outside of town didn't work cellular or land line. i found out that day from the phone company your voice is sent analogue to a junction box not to far away and that box that then converts it to digital and spits it out over the internet like anything else.remember vonage? well now that's what a landline is . i cut it off if the landline relies on internet what's the point?

    Google (likely Apple too) basically is the government, they have 200 "former" CIA officers on payroll as employees. There's basically no privacy. Device IDs are tracked, your car has a device ID on multiple networks too, the moment you are registered in any way your name is associated with those device IDs. Payment systems are all tracked. There is basically no way to not be tracked. If you carry a wi-fi only device, public wi-fi spots log every ID they see, even if you aren't connected. It goes on and on.

    • @MsHojat

      There are plenty of ways to not be tracked. You're ignorant to the intricacies of how these techs work and/or the options that are available. For example Airplane mode with a device that does randomized MAC means no tracking from any external sources. Having software that isn't controlled by or reporting to Google/Apple (and no other spyish/untrusted apps) is a way to avoid tracking from inside sources.
      Devices and plans can be purchased without identifying yourself nor using a credit card.
      Yes there are many "hazards" and "hoops" one needs to watch out for and jump through, but it's erroneous to say that it's impossible to get privacy. In addition even if it was true that you can't get total privacy (which is true to a degree if you lets say encounter any humans with functional eyes or cameras in your life) it doesn't mean that you can't nor shouldn't_minimize_ it using various techniques and practices.
      It's very possible that it might mean not being able to use certain services though, such as payment apps or ride sharing apps because oftentimes that kind of software demands high level access and does "monitoring" of various things on the device.

    • @MsHojat
      @MsHojat Month ago +4

      @shiftedperception369 IDs that companies use aren't thinks users can delete. Sounds like you're maybe referring to some Apple stuff. While Apple can keep you relatively private from _other_ companies, Apple themselves are except from that privacy and collect a ton of information, and they're really bad for this (worse than Google, even)

    • @brichusi
      @brichusi Month ago

      The person in the video is Andrew Bustamante, and his background as a former CIA officer is widely accepted as legitimate. While the CIA does not typically release a public "roster" of its former employees, Bustamante has provided significant evidence and has been vetted by various high-profile platforms.
      Here is a breakdown of how his background is documented:
      1. Published Memoirs and Publications
      Bustamante and his wife, Jihi (who is also a former CIA officer), recently released a book titled Shadow Cell: An Insider Account of America’s New Spy War (2025).
      * The Review Process: Any former CIA employee who writes a book must submit it to the CIA's Publication Review Board (PRB) to ensure no classified information is revealed. The existence of this book, and its legal publication, implies it has gone through this mandatory agency process.
      2. Verified Professional History
      Before joining the CIA, Bustamante's military service is fully documented.
      * US Air Force: He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and served as a nuclear ICBM operations officer. This military record is public and easily verifiable, serving as the professional foundation from which he was recruited into the CIA's National Clandestine Service.
      3. Media and Peer Vetting
      Bustamante has appeared on numerous mainstream platforms that conduct their own due diligence:
      * History Channel: He is a lead investigator on the series Beyond Skinwalker Ranch. Networks like History/A&E typically vet "expert" credentials for legal and insurance purposes.
      * Reddit IAmA: In his multiple "Ask Me Anything" sessions on Reddit, he provided proof of his identity and background to the moderators, who marked his threads as "Verified."
      * Major Podcasts: He has been a guest on The Diary of a CEO, Lex Fridman, and The Shawn Ryan Show, where he provides granular details about CIA training (at "The Farm"), the 18-month recruitment process, and specific administrative roles (such as being a Staff Operations Officer in Bangkok) that align with known CIA organizational structures.
      Summary of Documentation
      | Source | Type of Verification |
      |---|---|
      | CIA PRB | Book approval process for Shadow Cell. |
      | US Military | Records of his time as an AF Academy grad and ICBM officer. |
      | History Channel | Professional vetting for television casting. |
      | Reddit | Private verification of credentials by site moderators. |
      While some critics on social media occasionally question the details of his "undercover" status (noting that he served more in management/logistics roles than "field spy" roles), his actual employment by the Central Intelligence Agency is considered a matter of public record.

      @DWtechfan i already did it; those who wont have the mark wont be able to sell or purchase anything; we are getting there ID cards are already here, and billionaires buy all the farming land they can to control the food market; the real money will be replaced with digital money; for months i am thinking to relocate to another country because the digital ID are introduced in my country(not madatory for now)

    • @DWtechfan

      @VerdeAramiu it's scary because we see things converging at once to confirm Bible prophecy. Everything being done with digital id, a crashing economy, the push towards biometrics, and the ongoing AI push with an eventful transition into transhumanism will all lead to the mark of the beast. Sadly, we won't be safe anywhere because once this hits it'll be global. I pray we can all endure what's coming because it's going to get much worse before it gets better.

      @VerdeAramiuSo what? Just take what you want. They think we are going to use that bullshit? Just walk into a shop and take what you want. Don't worry about the police. We are ALL sovereign citizens so the law doesn't apply to any of us. The law was invented for one reason and one reason only. To keep us under control. The globalist elites lobby politicians to impose more laws on us. Yet they themselves don't obey them. So we won't either. What are they going to do when all of us say no?
      They really haven't thought it through. Bunch of morons.

    • @terryfaugno9242
      @terryfaugno9242 Month ago +2

      It's not the SIM card that's the issue. It's the RF (radio frequency) section of the phone, the transceiver (transmitter/receiver) being powered up constantly. It's always on because it's constantly checking signal strength from the nearest cell towers.
      Of all the doodahs the guy was touting, the battery hard switch was the best feature of the phone, assuming it actually interrupts power to the processor and RF sections.

      The real reason for that though is they don't punch the people when they get caught. If you went up to someone put a gun to their head and stole that much money from them, they would be having to spend decades in prison and give all the money back. If the same thing happened for white collar crimes equally, then it wouldn't happen anymore but extremely rarely. Imagine if we went after people's parents, teachers, friends, siblings for allowing their bad actions to culminate to that point in their life rather than punish them with them so no one deals with the lowlifes anymore?

    • @MsHojat
      @MsHojat Month ago +1

      Having a banking /payment app on their device typically isn't why their accounts would be emptied. Although in some cases when a device is stolen it can be (assailant spies your unlock password before stealing your device, and then immediately starts spending with the payment app, assuming it doesn't have additional protection in place)
      It's typically due to getting tricked, such as phishing scams stealing passwords, impersonators pretending to be with a given company exploiting/circumventing 2-factor-authentication, etc. So whether a person has the mobile app or not usually doesn't really matter in that sense.
      Security-wise, mobiles are very secure, and it's desktops (including laptops) that are vulnerable. Malware on a desktop can grab cookies, wallets, saved passwords, and/or can keylog passwords. This sort of thing is super rare and generally non-existant on mobile due to it's much higher security model.

      The thing is, you can definitely not worry about your privacy and sending all your sensitive information to strangers because you think you're too boring and not an important person to worry about organizations tracking your life activities, until you need it one day (maybe because you woke up after being affected by some weird, shady or unethical policies which affects your life or family's life, and started criticizing a corrupt person or a team in the gov or anything else), but when you need it, even if you start protecting yourself now, it's too late, they already have your sensitive information. Whatever came out of your devices, will never come back again. And If it's out there, you can never delete it.

      @themedlebGood point, even 30+ years ago when I was looking after our floor network I warned staff that the organisation could see all they were doing so keep it work related. It’s the reason I’ve never ever posted pictures of myself or family on social media , like emails once you press “send” its out of your control. Thats why I would constantly remind staff if someone made them angry write it on a piece of paper rip it up and bin it, wait five minutes , write again and repeat, never but never put it in an email !! But of course there are people out there that can’t take good advice, as you say eventually the excrement hits the fan. 😀

      @themedleb The only sensitive information you can put into a phone is already held on a government database. Except maybe a numbered Swiss Bank Account ...

      Not really, you need to know that phones nowadays collect tons of useful information other than just names, addresses, emails and fingerprints ... I will give you just one simple example to get the idea: Imagine they collect even the pattern of where you commonly tap on the screen for every app, everyday ... And tons and tons of other stuff. Companies and govs doesn't have all that without a smartphone.

    I am NOT EASILY sold on anything, and I wasn't on this video either......until you got into the cons! After taking 5 of the 10 min I set aside to research the phone, THEN I was sold!
    Thank you for probably the most honest, to the point, and no fluff review I've seen in a hot minute!

    Thankfully most non-paranoid and non-insane people don't give a rat's ass about tracking on their phone. I have tracking on my phones, laptops, tablets, vehicles, tractors, boat and simply do not care. If a baddie wants to get me then such is life, it will happen no matter what I do so I might as well not inconvenience my life and family out of an irrational fear of being tracked. Given the increasing prevalence of cameras and face recognition i think being paranoid is a waste of medication!

    😅 rich ppl pick phones because of privacy, poor ppl pick phones for features, but wealthy ppl build income engines instead of scrolling lol. In a mastermind someone referenced Viral wave mastery (b Victor Hale) and said intelligence in 2026 = leverage + discretion + cashflow, I tested lowkey and first 30 days around 12k, now hover 20k-30k/month and ngl life got way quieter and way easier, hope someone catches that being smart doesn’t pay until it compounds

    When Law Enforcement really want to know what someone is up to, they get a judge to authorize a surveillance order and then conduct a " Stingray Operation" which basically means that they intercept the cell phone frequency and just listen, or just get a cell phone scanner and it will pick up cell phone frequencies and that's how any cell phone can be hacked, unless a scramble is being used...

    They still have those matrix slide out phones . Pretty sure Morpheus could get Tank to run a program and get you in the matrix undetected for 5 or 6 minutes.

      Criminals use anonymous burner phones, so can you. Buy a phone and use a fake name and account then register a new email. NEVER put your real email address on your phone. I have all my emails forwarded to my phone email. So what? well who ever might hack or steal my phone cant access any account using that phone. I never ever would put any bank or investment management app on a phone.
