YOU KNOW YOU’RE FROM SAN ANTONIO IF...

Talking to my wife about how to know if you’re from San Antonio, and how it’s such a great place to live and raise a family. And here’s what I’m sharing with her…
Wait, who am Im? Im a Real Estate Agent by day, salsa instructor by night. I’m Dario Mambo, the salsa and real estate combo. I was born and raised here in San Antonio but relocated out to Hawaii after college and studied Real Estate Investing.
My wife and I moved back three years ago and opened a Latin dance company, Were salsa dancers and performers
Im telling her that San Antonio is growing, definitely becoming a go to city to move into.
Fun fact:
San Antonio, Texas, tops the list with the largest population gain with an increase of over 220,000 residents in the last decade, an average of 66 people per day, to finish 2019 with a total population of 1,547,253.
Locals knows that the city is growing and for the most part we love the changes. But there are a few things that separate local San Antonios and the people just moving here.
You know you’re from San Antonio if …..
If you do these 7 things and the 7 places you’ve been to if you’re from San Antonio.
1) If you make judgments off of people based on where they went to high school.
Because you know the question, ”where did you go to High school?” Is a loaded question
2) If you have been hungry after hours, and you have counted on Taco Cabana or Whataburger for to be there for you after a long night out.
3) If you have your own top 5 Breakfast tacos recommendations around the city, you know that some tacos are just better than others.
4) If You’ve met at least one Castro twin. I wouldn’t be surprised if you met both.
5) If you hear someone calling our county “Bexar”, you know they are not local.
6) If you remember back when HEB was no bigger than La Fiesta, or Albertsons. Now you shop for groceries almost exclusively at HEB. And you know about the HEB commercial from the Spurs every year.
7) If You refer to places as either inside or outside of “the loop.”
Im a local realtor here in San Antonio Tx and I’m always studying the different local markets and neighborhood markers inside the loop, outside the loop, or anywhere in the San Antonio metropolitan area
