The level of ignorance in this show is crazy. You'd think Koreans ( some) live in a bubble or on isolated island without internet. They kept referring to Africa like it's a country or city, it was repetitive that it became embarrassing to watch.
The intro of the first episode was very disappointing. As if making it look like we don’t have clean water wasn’t enough, they even made it look as if a family shares one shoe. Africa is not a Jungle neither is it a country. I like K-dramas but wat this people did this time was really annoying. Using that yellow filter and making us look poor by capturing a location that will make people think we are suffering. Is everyone in Korea having a good life? And was the Airport they landed at made with clay or mud? I guess they walked from the Korean Airport to the country they visited in Africa. Guess Africa will continue to be disrespected by other countries. And the fact that there are Africa’s in the comment section happy with how they are portraying Us is APPALLING ‼️
Self hating people are the worst. Somehow the country with the most access to tech and media can't do proper research or use their brains to understand the difference between a continent and a country
Accepted it,even mr beast volunteer so many water well in Africa,go and see his videos,there are many places in Africa where people don't have clean water to drink,
I have now watched a lot of k-drama romcoms. Even made a list to keep track. After just finishing King the Land today, this one however (which I finished watching about 3 weeks ago), has become my favorite. Overtaking my 2nd favorite, Business Proposal.
These drama makes people in Korea look bad, like really ignorant. Just like leave Africa alone if you can’t be bothered to even specify the country he went to.
Episode 1 when he supplied water and it looked like he performed a miracle was so funny. What do these people think about Africa and Africans. Do your research, it's becoming embarrassing
Anyone bringing up the African reference. I've done my research because I've lived/worked there... Africa does in fact have a (clean) water crisis and gangs + poverty esp outside the main cities. Between shady water tapping (enjoy that freshly bottled "mountain spring" water) and the corruption in the cocoa industry, the rest of the world & its corporations take advantage of Africa which results in poverty and water issues. Sooo this was in fact an accurate depiction.

I'm an Indian but I totally agree with you.. Even when I saw the 1 st episode.. I was like WTH man.. They're completely stereotyping now..!! And I feel koreans are totally ignorant about many things. I remember in one reality show about India... Few famous k pop stars of boybands visited India like Superjunior, Shinee and many more.. So before leaving Korea one member of Superjunior took spoons with him saying I need spoons because Indian doesn't have spoon and fork..!! I was like WTF.. And when he saw people eating with spoon and fork.. He was in shock for a sec.. They're totally ignorant..!!!
Well you may not know but you are also being stereotypical as you meant that Koreans can't speak English clearly,do you expect to end these stereotypes if you yourself are stereotypical there are many Koreans who can speak English .
